I have stayed here several times, the most recent in February 2020 was for 2 nights.
As the title says this hotel is exactly what your would expect from an indigo hotel.
Situated about 3 minute walk from earls court tube station getting there is easy.
The staff at reception were polite, well presented, and answered my question about the local gym (currently being refurbished, so check if this is important to you).
The rooms are modern in style with white linen coverings and art adorning the walls. I had a front facing room which was spacious but also got some noise from the street (no double glazing). I didn't eat in the restaurant other than for breakfast which was tasty with a good mix of buffet and a la Carte available. Food was freshly prepared and cooked fairly well (poached eggs were slightly over).
Check out was easy and the bill was accurate.
It took me about 25-30 minutes to get to my office which are just on the edge of the City, this is slightly longer than when I stay near kings cross, but the hotel is nicer, and (on this occasion) £50 cheaper!

Staying at Hotel Indigo Kensington was my first stay in a hotel since they were allowed to reopen to the general public in the UK, and it was a pleasant surprise.

Staff at the hotel were friendly, with sanitizing stations set up at key points and mask use encouraged in public areas. Access to the hotel was restricted with the room key being required to access the building at all hours.

Although having Platinum Elite status with IHG where upgrades are part of the benefits, the double upgrade was very much appreciated, and it was definitely an unusual experience in London to have a hotel room which looked out over a park. The room itself, although the removal of much of the soft furnishing and collateral items did unfortunately remove some of the personality, did not end up being as bland as I had expected; I was happy to see that the complimentary minibar was still a part of the offering, and that the bathroom amenities remained as would be expected. It was advised that housekeeping was only available on an “as-requested” basis, which in a two-night stay was not something that I required.

I would be happy to stay there again whilst the current restrictions continue, and I hope to have the opportunity to stay again once the normal room design and offerings are available as I am curious to see the difference.

I booked this hotel for my husband’s 70th Birthday. On arrival the staff had remembered and wished him a Happy Birthday stay.
On reaching our room on the 4th floor, the staff had left a card and some handmade chocolates for him. What a lovely touch. Our room was fabulous, beautifully appointed and decorated with everything you could wish for, for a comfortable stay. A hairdryer, iron, ironing board, two easy chairs and a little table and a well stocked selection of coffees teas and milk etc, along with milk and a kettle and also a well stocked mini bar. The bed was super comfortable with gorgeous white cotton bedding. The bathroom was very spacious, with a lovely shower and beautiful complimentary toiletries along with the thickest, softest towels I’ve ever had in a hotel.
The staff at the hotel were amazingly friendly and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately due to storm Ciara, the lift was out of order but the staff offered to help with luggage if we needed them to.
We had breakfast included in the price of our room, and it’s probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve eaten in a very long time. The selection was huge and was displayed beautifully. The juices were much nicer that the usual offering in hotels. There was even a fruit smoothie along side other juices and chilled water. There was a variety of bread and pastries/muffins and bagels etc along with cereals, seeds and muesli. There was also a selection of lovely cheeses, alongside cold meats and smoked salmon. We were also given a menu with a choice of cooked breakfasts too. I chose eggs benedict and it was delicious.
We were visiting the Saatchi gallery on the morning we checked out, and the hotel were more than happy to keep our bags until after our visit, as the Saatchi gallery had no storage facilities. When we left the hotel for the day, the reception staff offered us complimentary bottles of water to take with us.

Keep up the good work, we will definitely be returning when we are next in London. Thank you for a super stay. My husband who has stayed previously, at the Dorchester said he’d prefer to stay at The Indigo!

This was our third visit to this lovely hotel. The location is about 30mins via the tube from Euston train station and the hotel is located 5mins walk from Earls Court under ground. We bought one day tickets to make the most out of a busy schedule and the tube - and this only costs around £13 pp. we got back to the hotel in the early hours each night and the tube was always running and the receptionist opened the door for us each evening when locked. The room was exceptional and the staff were always happy to help with a smile. We only ate breakfast at the hotel and again this didn’t have any faults at all. - a lovely start to each day. The hotel is next door to a London pub which was a bonus. The hotel is off the high street so no noise which is just what you want for a peaceful nights sleep. Thank you Hotel Indigo Kensington we will surely be seeing you again.

3 nights in this hotel was a pleasure. The hotel is only a 3 min walk from Earls Court underground on the District and Picadilly Lines.

Staff were friendly and helpful with offers of masks and hand sanitiser should we run out.

The bedroom was comfortable with TV, Fridge (with complementary water and cans of pepsi), Tea & Coffee making facilities, iron, ironing board, robes, slippers and lovely toiletries in the clean bathroom with powerful shower.

Breakfast was delicious, the only thing I could possibly improve on was a top up on my coffee without having to pay for a second cup.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

We booked here for one night to visit the Tutankhamun exhibition at the Sachi Gallery
The reception received was one of the best I have had in recent times and I travel a good deal.
Barbara and Daniel gave a very warm and professional reception and allowed us to check in early and leave our small case prior to going the exhibition
We are now about to depart after a good breakfast and would be more than happy to return for further trips to London as it is in a good place as a base with the Earls Court station 3 mins away.
The breakfast service was also attentive and nicely done particularly the waitress that took the trouble to apologise for a very noisy party of ladies, which to us was not a problem but her attention was appreciated.
The only observation, not complaint, was the use of the kettle as there did not appear to be a convenient socket near to the tea and cups.
All round loved it next stop Budapest.

I was also in the group with reviewer Janet F & made the booking. Following a problematic stay at Holiday Inn Kingston in May I vowed never to use their hotels again. Unfortunately when I made this booking for a January family weekend I failed to realise it's part of the same group. The problem started at the booking stage , the website said I could confirm room configuration after booking. Being unable to do this on the website I made a call, firstly having to explain what I meant by a 'twin room' to be told they only had 2 and they were already booked. I was offered a larger room and they would put in an additional bed for an extra charge, I said I would cancel & find somewhere else, unfortunately I had booked a non refundable rate so this wasn't possible.
On arrival for our 3 rooms, one had no chair & none available so changed to a different room ( don't be fooled by the photos showing comfy chairs, sofas and small tables , in two of the SIX rooms we occupied these didn't exist). On entry to another room the cooking smells were overwhelming it was on the ground floor at the back of the hotel and once in the new room we could see all extractors on the roof directly above it .so another room change. The third room was the one with the extra bed, not much more than a glorified camp bed & very thin covers no duvet. This room had NO HOT WATER throughout the 2 night stay and we met other guests in the hotel who experienced the same.
Breakfast the first morning was variable, ' mushrooms' turned out to be HALF a mushroom. On returning to our room after breakfast to head out for the day there was water pouring through an inspection hatch above the walk in shower. We tried to use the phone to contact reception, only the base station works not the handset. They promised to send a member of the maintenance team 'straightaway' but this took about half an hour. We had pre booked timed tickets for a V&A exhibition so 3 of our group went ahead. So another room change. This 3rd room had a bathroom with 2 large obscured glass external windows, there is NO HEATING in any of the bathrooms and this one was certainly cold. The next morning we realised that in the rush to change rooms fairly expensive shampoo & conditioner had been left in the other bathroom. When we contacted reception about this they said housekeeping hadn't found it.
All in all a very disappointing stay for what we had hoped would be an enjoyable family weekend. We brought all these issues to attention of the staff during the weekend and on checkout who responded with they had done their best. They agreed to refund the cost of breakfasts and the additional room costs. Initially my credit card was charged with the full amount but this has now been corrected so meant another call following our stay.
If this is a 4 star hotel I'm glad I normally stay somewhere less expensive as this definitely wasn't worth it.

When my daughter and I arrived Friday lunchtime, we were warmly greeted by Daniel in reception. Our room was ready for us to drop our bags off which was a welcome bonus. The room was spacious, very clean, nicely decorated and had everything we required. The hotel is very conveniently close to Earls Court tube, 1 minute walk away. There are some handy convenient stores nearby too. Breakfast was excellent (scrambled eggs especially), brought to the table due to Covid (which I prefer anyway) and all staff were polite, courteous and cheerful. Although we weren't able to leave our bags in reception due to C-19, we were offered extended time on our room. We both felt safe and comfortable in the hotel and would recommend it on location, pricing, room size & friendly staff. Thank you.

The best way to describe this hotel is chaotic. The other most important thing to note is that the website is severely out of date.

Pros

The hotel is situated very close to Earls Court tube station and is very easy to get to.

The Natural History Museum, V&A museum and Design Museum are all a short walk.

There is an M&S food at the end of the street

There are some very hardworking and dedicated staff working there

It is reasonably priced for its location

BUT…

Cons

The organisation and running of the hotel is a mess.

The Theo Randall restaurant does not exist any more, and there is no food or drink available during the day, despite the current information available on the website. This is also not advertised anywhere in the hotel and not communicated at check in. We made use of the M&S food shop down the road.

Breakfast is available, with limited buffet options and if you are happy to wait an hour for a single slice of bread, a poached egg and a teaspoonful of avocado, there are also hot options.

The staff are constantly running, sweaty and out of breath trying to keep everything running. There is no procedure no one knows what they are doing and everything is very hit and miss. A sign that these very dedication members of staff are trying to hold together a very poorly run establishment.

The rooms are a problem. Whilst we were there at least three guests had issues with their rooms and one family had been in three different rooms on three consecutive nights. There is also a huge disparity in what you get for a standard room, despite them all being the same price. This meant that people were being allocated rooms and then swapping but we saw no evidence of the rooms being cleaned in between.

There is no bar downstairs in the evenings, and the space that was once the restaurant was brightly lit and uninviting to spend time there.

Finally, we were allocated the smallest and most awkward room in the hotel (room 401). Despite only staying one night, the layout was bizarre, felt like a cupboard and did not meet our needs. We requested another room, which despite an amount of miscommunication between the staff, was eventually given to us, including an upgrade which we gratefully appreciated . It was obvious, however that this room was often offered and rejected, why not just offer it at a slightly lower rate?

I haven’t written a review for a while, but felt very strongly that potential guests should know what they are actually getting for their money, rather than what is being advertised. The hotel has HUGE potential, but at the moment it needs better communication and management.

Let me start with apologising for the inconvenience you had to face. I appreciate and would like to thank you for finding time to give us a detailed feedback. This really helps us in ensuring we fix and resolve guest concerns effectively. Please be assured that these are not regular occurrences, as we constantly strive to offer hospitality of the highest standards and recognise our valued guests. As we all know hospitality industry is the most affected in all aspects due to pandemics. Just so I put things in right place, we are doing our utmost best to ensure we delight each guest with all available resources. Currently we are suffering with labour market crunch and supply chain disruption. Unfortunately the issues which you have addressed are valid and we accept that your stay experience could have been better. We really hope you can understand the challenges and appreciate the hard work done by the team who are working tremendously hard to make things right for you. We do have an extensive buffet option with a lot of choices. sincere apologies if you had to face a delay in having your food served late. I already stated the reason for delay above. We have no records of any guests having any issues with their rooms as you mentioned. I however take on board that you were not happy with your room size. I am also glad to read that my team was managed to offer you a complimentary upgrade even though we were fully booked out to ensure you are happy. We do have a system in place where we allocate room prior to guest arrival as per their requests. changing or swapping the rooms meaning we ensure to fulfil requests from all our guests and all the standards are maintained at the same time. Once again we are sorry that you had a disappointing stay with us. We hope you will give us another opportunity to make things right. Kind Regards, Hotel Indigo London Kensington Team.

I think so, I didn’t need to use an iron when I was there so didn’t specifically look for it. If not reception would definitely provide it.
