My husband and I made reservations for the bar. At first, I was intrigued that we needed to make reservations but after going to the bar, I thought this was a brilliant idea. It’s for this reason - the ambiance, cocktails, food, and service deserve five stars through and through. There is nothing which could be improved upon. Our server, Angel, assisted us with our selections and the cocktails were impeccable. The stemware was completely lovely (these is nothing worse than a superior cocktail in a poorly selected glass - this completely ruins the cocktail). The ambiance in the bar was simply elegant and beautiful. Every detail in the food, cocktails and service left nothing where improvements could have been made. We had the boozy Gaspari Manhattan, Lilibet Cocktail, Rumrunner Old Fashioned, Classic Champage Cocktail, and an Italian wine to go with filet in the peppercorn and brandy sauce. Later, there was a lovely singer and pianist. Simply extraordinary and lovely. Her voice was angelic and the pianist tied the experience together in a neat bow.
I would like to call attention to the manager, Mickael Perron, who also checked on us in the most kind and attentive manner. Paul - in the coat room, was also very kind, warm, and attentive - a most generous person with a sincere and kind heart. For those of you who enjoy a truly remarkable experience which caters to all of your senses, then look no further as this is the place to go.

I treated my husband to Afternoon Tea on 1/3/20 at The Lanesbourough hotel for his 50th birthday.
We arrived a little early and were escorted to the library where we had drinks. My husband had a fantastic scotch, and I had a very delicious mocktail.
When our table was ready we entered the Celeste restaurant which was decorated with Peggy Porschen inspired pink floral displays. My husband decided to have the rhubarb green tea which he said was very nice, then the sandwiches, scones and cakes arrived. They were a visual treat, and most definitely a sweet treat! The sandwiches were lovely, on many different types of bread, with very tasty fillings, the scones were the best I have ever tasted! No clagy taste, or after taste, just crisp on the outside and light on the inside.
The cakes were to die for. My husbands favourite was the Peggy Pavlova, but for me it was a close call between the elderflower and lemon starlet, and the raspberry, rose and lemon sponge. All beautifully decorated and delicious.
The service was attentive but not intrusive, and they kindly gave my husband a special mango mousse to celebrate his birthday.
All in all lovely, indulgent afternoon, and I would recommend this to anyone.

My Sisters and I enjoyed a wonderful night’s stay at The Lanesborough Hotel this weekend (Saturday 22 May). From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very special as everyone we met treated us like Royalty.

The welcome and check-in were swift and we were even given a tour of the facilities, before we went into our rooms. The rooms (we stayed in Junior Suites) were exquisitely decorated and felt very grand. The rooms are a good size and stocked with all the amenities you need for a comfortable night away. We had our own Butler, who went the extra mile to take care of us.

The hotel itself is in the best location, opposite Hyde Park, a 10 minute walk to Harrods and Hyde Park Corner Tube Station is right outside the entrance, making it easy to travel to other parts of London.

Breakfast the following day was at the Celeste, a beautifully bright designed restaurant that was comfortable. Breakfast was a treat for the eyes as well as the stomach.

We spent some time at the Spa and here every need is catered for, open changing rooms, state of art steam/sauna and hydropool. A relaxing lounge and a restaurant if you get hungry! Even the things you don’t think you need, they catered for… powerful hairdryers, straighteners, brushes and combs, hair products and hair bobbles…. Its these little things that matter.

We enjoyed our stayed so much, we want to make our Sister’s get away an annual event and we’d love to stay here again.

Dear D8709AVkb, I am so pleased that you and your sisters had a wonderful stay with us at the Lanesborough on what was our first weekend out of the recent government lifting of restrictions. All of the team here at the Lanesborough really take pride in looking after every single one of our guests so I am delighted to hear that you were made to feel special and treated like royalty! Indeed, we are so lucky to have such a fantastic location, where it is nice to be close to the fantastic shops in Knightsbridge, but also Hyde Park just a stones throw away. Our spa is the jewel in the crown, and our butlers are on hand to make sure every need is met and catered for. I very much hope that I will be able to welcome you and your sisters back next year if not sooner! Kind Regards, Stuart Geddes, General Manager

Beautiful afternoon tea here, beautiful decorated restaurant and hotel... chandeliers and flowers galore. The staff could not have been any more helpful. The food itself was delicious, we even got topped up sandwiches, not that we could finish it all! And for the bits we couldn’t finish off they give us a little takeaway box which I thought was a nice touch. It’s obviously quite pricey but I do feel like for the service, ambience, quality of food, decorations, location it’s worth it.

This hotel is quite rightly, rated as one of the best in london. From the moment you walk through the doors you feel welcomed by all members of staff. Yes this place is expensive but doesn’t feel stuffy at all, you can really relax and enjoy yourself.

The hotel is extremely traditional and cherishes it’s old age character, you feel like royalty staying here.

The location is brilliant, you are sitting basically on top of Hyde Park Corner (but no train noise) so can get down to the tube within minutes. You can walk into Belgravia, Knightsbridge, Marble Arch, Oxford street, it’s great! Loved everything about it

This has to be the most grand & elegant hotel in London. I was lucky enough to stay for 11 nights at the Lanesborough hotel. With its grand foyer & super high ceilings, it’s truly amazing. Positioned directly on Hyde Park Corner you’ll struggle to find a better hotel. Check in was super fast, and were quickly escorted to my room to be shown around, i was shown how to operate the high tech system in the room which operates the curtains, lighting, TV (picture in a frame which lifts and reveals a television), room service ordering and even to call your butler. Spacious room with a huge chandelier and a small office desk section to the side. The lighting was superb throughout the room along with 3 different light setting for the bathroom. The 24/7 underfloor heating in bathroom was superb. The Housekeeping was 10/10 everyday, as was their turndown service, cannot fault one bit. Having a butler at hand 24/7 was truly an amazing experience. Apart from one evening when the butler & maintenance guy were both trying to switch the main chandelier off at 02:00am as the light wouldn’t go out to allow me to sleep, Luckily they switched the fuse off from outside just for that light and fixed the issue the next morning.
Breakfast was good, but extremely slow, and this was throughout my stay. It seems not enough servers and food just not coming out fast enough. Along with a few mistakes here and there as almost try and remember your order rather than write it down. (One morning I simply asked for double shot latte, toast & cornflakes at 08:00, 8.25 latte arrived, 8.30 cold toast arrives along with hard butter, 8.40 I’ve had to ask where my bowl of cornflakes and finally 45 mins after placing my order my of bowl cornflakes arrived. It seems anything food related from the Celeste restaurant or even from the Library or Withdrawing room was delayed in arriving at your table, maybe short staffed in the kitchen areas as well as the restaurants. (Most likely Brexit is to blame for this). Though I must say regardless of all the food delays the quality of the food arriving was always first class, and was always presented beautifully. Our first evening we ate in the Celeste restaurant (2.5 hours from start to finish) but we preferred the menu along with the ambience of the Library/withdrawing room. Our compliments to all the chefs as we practically ate everything on the menu and loved it.

This is the best hotel I have stayed in. It is not a 5 star establishment but should be given a 10 star rating. Despite the location and the guests I am sure they have staying there we were made to feel the most important guests as soon as we entered.. All the staff were just outstanding and their attention to detail was the best. We cannot wait to stay there again. Well done to everyone.

I have stayed in many top Hotels in London such as Claridge’s, Langham, Rosewood. The Lanesborough is the best with its amazing room and services. Due to the pandemics, we have to change the booking for several times. The Lanesborough reservation team continuously offered us extremely patient help. When we arrived, the reception team gave us a truly stunning room with great Hyde park view and very nice decoration. They also arranged a small bed with two nice bottles of mineral water for our kitten. The room has 4 meters high ceiling and classical decoration fused with the latest high technology. I have been staying in many luxurious hotels in historical building. I understand it is very difficult for this type of hotel to have everything in perfect condition. However, in the Lanesborough, every details like room temperature, furnitures, bathroom,
bed linens in the room are elegant and perfect. The butlers are very polite, professional and efficient. The dinner in Celeste is also very good. One of the
best Michelin one-star restaurants I have had. Overall, we had a very comfortable and pleasant two nights stay at this hotel with friendly atmosphere and will definitely stay at the Lanesborough again.

Even by the standards of Forbes 5 star hotels the decor in the Lanesborough is well above the average and absolutely sumptuous. There are many positive aspects but I shall just mention a few. Even though we were in the "cheapest" rooms we were treated like royalty. We even had a butler.
The breakfast service in the restaurant was amazingly fast. The chef must have cooked our meals as soon as the order came in as it was served within 5 minutes of placing the order.
We had an evening meal in the restaurant and there was an remarkable example of service. We ordered wine with a very junior waiter. When the sommelier came round he respectfully told us he did not think the wine we had chosen was the best he had in the price range so brought a better wine at no extra cost. He even left us the glass of our original wine so we could compare. I have never encountered this level of service before.
Before we arrived I told them I wished to practice my clarinet. They bought a music stand specially for me (at no cost to me) and found a private room where I could make as much noise as I wanted without disturbing anyone. How many hotels would do that!
The competition is intense but this might be the best hotel in the UK.

Just returned from a wonderful two night stay at this beautiful hotel. We arrived on their grand reopening following lockdown and right from the second we arrived until the second we left my wife and I were treated like royalty. This place is just stunning.

The beauty of this hotel above other high-end London hotels such as the Ritz, the Savoy or the Dorchester is that you are treated like family this really is a home away from home. it has a very different feel to all the other high end five-star hotels and we absolutely loved it. As a cigar smoker the garden room was fabulous, it makes such a difference to any trip when facilities like that are available. Needless to say the cigar selection is sublime.

Every single member of staff and I mean every single without exception, were incredibly friendly they literally couldn’t do enough for us. I appreciate the hotel wasn’t full and also the level of enthusiasm will be at a peak because of the reopening but I left there feeling that it really wouldn’t matter whether the hotel was full or not I think you would still get that level of service.

The spa facilities as you’d expect we are 2nd to none, The library bar has a wonderful feel to it the only downside is that during the week it doesn’t open until 4 pm, but you can still have a drink in the Celeste restaurant which again one of the most elegant venues in London I would imagine.

A special mention has to go to the gentleman that checked us in, the public relations manager (I’m sorry I can’t remember her name) and the fabulous door staff (so friendly). But in reality as I said earlier every single member of staff right from the big boss (who was circling for the entire time we were there and always approachable) down to the cleaners were amazing.

You have us as customers for life !!

See you in December if we are allowed 🤞🏽🤞🏽
