Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.

This is the old "Grand Hotel" and is still imposing but has been brought right up to date. It is a good hotel for tourism - close to Trafalgar Square - and for business - large business and work friendly area over two floors. My...More

The location is very good. However the staff and their service are not good and hotel facilities are a bit out-dated. I would not recommend this hotel to whom are looking for accommodations in London.More

Personally, I like flying overnight to Europe. Try to sleep, or at least rest, on the flight, and once you arrive, resist the temptation to nap. You'll adjust to the time difference that way. While the hotel holds your... More

We took the Piccadilly line from Heathrow. Buy an Oyster card at Heathrow and put about 20 pounds on it. One card for each person (when leaving you can get all money left on card back). Take Piccadilly line to Hammersmith... More
