Having stayed in some Ibis’ before I was apprehensive about what our room would be like - I needn’t be! Very stylish and modern throughout the hotel. Our room was perfect size for two people. My friend and I stayed here to watch a concert in the O2. It’s only one tube stop away from the O2. Really good location. Staff were really friendly at reception and the hotel room was super clean. Couldn’t fault it at all. Will definitely stay again.

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel last minute to avoid the late night/early morning train journey home on New Year’s Eve.

The hotel was right opposite the tube station to take us quickly to Canada Water making it really convenient.

The reception and bar team were friendly, welcoming and helpful despite an issue with the card on our booking (I think the receptionist was called Aisha?).

The bar/reception area is modern and buzzing, perfect for an early evening drink or snack.

The room was comfortable, clean and modern and the reception/housekeeping even let us stay in bed a little later on the basis that we paid the £20 late checkout fee on departure which was great considering the late night and hangover.

Overall a great stay and we will definitely stay again when we attend our next event at Printworks in February!

This was my third visit to this hotel since it opened late 2017. I keep coming back although the Ibis Canning Town is a budget hotel with small rooms and a basic bathroom. But it is at a very convenient location, only a ten minute busride from City Airport and a two minute walk to Canning Town Station and the Jubilee Line that will bring you to the centre of London in 15 tot 20 minutes. Also, the rooms are clean, the Wi-Fi is dependable, and the hotel is not expensive. Staff downstairs (there is no reception desk, but there are members of staff around in the lobby) is pleasant and helpful. A nice bar for a drink before going up at night. The only point of criticism is the standard of housekeeping. The ladies from Central-European countries are friendly, but lack training. Almost every day of my six nights stay, they forgot something. Basic things, like replenishing the tea bags or toilet paper or replacing an old towel by a new one after taking the old one out. I had to go down to the lobby at least four times during my stay to get something they forgot. A simple checklist for them of every item in the room they need to check while they are cleaning would already help. But apart from that, this is a hotel worth staying in if you need a basic hotel for just a good night sleep (excellent beds) and a shower.

This is the second time I've stayed here in the last 6 months.
A well positioned, clean, comfortable, modern hotel.
There's a tube station opposite, shops and eateries around the corner and there's also a bar, coffee, eating place on the ground floor.
The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds. The bathroom is modern with a great power, shower.
The whole hotel has a young, contemporary vibe.
There's very minimal noise whilst you're in your room from other guests...No noise from above or below and the odd murmur from next door, the rooms are well sound proofed.
There's personal climate control in each room which is efficient and easy to use.
A great base to chill from a busy trip to London.
On both occasions I booked well in advance through a hotel comparison site and got great deals.

I came to this hotel recently to have lunch and do some work on my laptop. I was impressed by the cleanliness, social distancing, guidance for COVID guidelines and so forth.

Tables are wiped down thoroughly, staff are wearing face masks, sanitizers are present and there are socially distanced tables & chairs.

I was very satisfied with the overall service which was 10/10, no complaints.
I was especially impressed with the Team Leader Tahir, who served us most of the time and provided a friendly and reliable service.

I highly recommend this place if you need to work from another location temporarily, a quick lunch or a hot drink (coffee, tea, etc).

My wife and I stayed here for one night as we were seeing a concert at the O2 Arena, and this hotel is affordable and superbly placed (one tube stop away from North Greenwich and the hotel is right opposite the tube / DLR / bus stops).

I have stayed at many Ibis hotels in the chain, both in the UK and in Europe and as a Silver Club Accor member we were warmly welcomed by the staff, with drink vouchers and a lovely hand-written 'welcome back' postcard in the bedroom. It was a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

The room was fairly standard fare for an Ibis, but was clean and served us well. We had a minor issue in the bathroom as the shower head wasn't properly screwed on so when the shower started up it sprayed water in every direction, but once the problem was identified and the head screwed back firmly it was all fine.

The breakfast was decent (good selection of cereals, cold meats, hot dishes, juice, coffee machines with multiple selection options, etc) and the hot dishes were actually nice and hot and food was of a good standard.

The staff were excellent, and took a real interest in making sure our stay was a good one, checking we knew the breakfast logistics, asking if our stay was good, etc.

If I need to stop over for another show at the O2 I would definitely stay here again, and to be honest, with excellent tube and DLR connections to all the city it would make an affordable option for other visits to London. Very pleased with the experience, and the wonderful efforts from the staff.

We stayed here for several days before a cruise out of Dover with the main goal of finding a safe and comfortable place with a reasonable price. We were surprised how nice the property was compared with other places we have stayed at this price point, The hotel feels very new and is very contemporary; instead of the usual hotel lobby, there is a table set up as you enter the ground floor cafe and bar, with staff manning laptops. Our room was ready even though we checked in early, and the staff was most helpful. The rooms are comfortable but quite sparse: there are no cupboards, shelves, or closets; only a small hideaway in the corner with a hangup rack. There is a TV mounted on the wall with a good selection of channels, but no clock, radio, or phone. Also just a simple desk and chair, and two twin beds set up in a queen configuration. But the internet was excellent, as well as the climate control. A WhatsApp number is given in lieu of a room phone, which actually worked very efficiently. The bathroom was small but a nice shower space with good water pressure, but again just a sink with no other spaces to place things.

The breakfast buffet (included in our room fare) was much better than average with good selection of typical British breakfast items, and very good quality. The attached Chill 08 cafe and bar were also excellent with a nice bar and beer selection, sandwiches, salads, and sweets, all very good. The Canning Town Underground Stations is immediately across the street, time to Central London is about 15 minutes or 7 to 9 stops depending on where you want to go. But we were surprised at the variety of things to see within a few minutes walk from the hotel - there is a well stocked market just a few doors down, and quite a few ethnic restaurants - the ones we tried were all very good. But the "vibe" here was quite relaxing; fun but not too loud or boisterous, live music some nights. Just sitting in the lobby/cafe made for a great way to wind down the day.

Overall, a nice stay and when we come back to London, would not hesitate to stay again.

On arrival at The Ibis Canning Town, Natalie Baxter the team leader was so welcoming and helpful, she made me feel at home.
In fact Natalie also provided a complimentary cappuccino.
Gabriella recommended that I try a Ibis pizza, which I did, a Margareta to be precise, it was a good size and really tasty and hot, Great job Ibis.
Marius Petrulis the waiter took my order, Marius seemed generally happy doing his job and came across as content in the job he was doing.
Marius asked if I needed any condiments and then if everything was okay.
Federica, the manager, was so friendly and approachable, she cleaned a table of my request and ensured that I felt comfortable.
After travelling around the world, I realised Ibis Canning Town, 'is in it for the long term' meaning Ibis Canning Town is 'Fine Dining' at it's best, if you want the Best cappuccino in town, the tastiest pizza or a great assortments of wines, liquors and spirits, the Ibis Canning Town's your place to be.
During my years both professionally and at leisure, I have stayed in many many hotels and I have to say The Ibis Canning Town is a friendly, upbeat cosy and clean environment, I will recommend the Ibis as an amazing hotel chain, though The Canning Town branch is ahead of all hotels, 'Well Done!' Ibis Canning Town :-)
Yours Truly,

Although the hotel is not in central London, there are many reasons to reserve a room here. The area nearby the hotel is very well served by public transport. Just across the road there is the Canning Town station where you can take the Jubilee Line (it takes 16 minutes to arrive at Westminster tube station, while Stratford station, where buses and trains arrive from Stansted Airport, is just two stops – 5 minutes – away) and the DLR Line. In case of need, Pret A Manger, Starbucks, MacDonald’s and several other cafes as well as a big supermarket are all next to the hotel. The hotel is new (opened in 2017): the rooms are in perfect Ibis style, not very big but absolutely clean, very well furnished and very comfortable. In every room you can find tea/coffee facilities with free coffee, tea and milk. The bathroom is spacious enough with a large shower. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of both hot (eggs, bacon, mushrooms, sausages, potato croquettes) and cold food (ham, cheese, salami, vegetables and fruits), different types of granola, yogurt, croissants, pain au chocolat, bread, jams, nutella, honey, different types of juices and hot beverages (cappuccino, coffee, chocolate and more). The breakfast area is spacious and well furnished. The crew is awesome (special thanks to Magda for her kindness and her attention toward us!) and both the check in and the chek out are very fast. Last but not least, the price is low by London standards. I absolutely recommended this hotel and hope to come back soon!

We stayed at the Ibis Canning Town on Friday 30th September. We found the reception staff really friendly and welcoming

We chose the Ibis as we were watching a concert at the O2 that evening. The underground station is just across the road from the Ibis and then just one stop on the jubilee line to the O2. Perfectly located

The hotel is very new, immaculate and very chic.

Parking was really easy in Hallsville quarter carpark Newham, Rathbone Market, Barking Road, Newham E16 1EN we initially struggled to find parking info online as it’s all very new in this area and lots of building still ongoing.

This is an underground carpark behind the Ibis it’s 2 hours free for shopping at Morrisons supermarket and £15.20 for overnight parking we used the PayByPhone app it was very easy.

We ate in the very trendy bar having the pizza and a drink deal for £17.50

There was live music in the bar that evening which unfortunately we missed but had a drink after returning from our concert. It was just very chilled, comfortable and welcoming

Breakfast was amazing buffet style with a choice full English and continental

The staff are lovely couldn’t be more helpful and friendly.

Tahir was a name of the team we remembered, he was a very happy friendly face at breakfast but all the staff were fantastic

We would definitely recommend a staff at this hotel 👍

The best way to get to the hotel from Gatwick is to take the train to London Bridge. Once you get off the train at London Bridge you head for Jubilee Line east bound. This train will stop at Canning Town. As Julie R mentioned the hotel is opposite the tube station. Many Thanks, Niall McGurn General Manager
