I have not stayed in a Travelodge since before the Pandemic. I visit Liverpool fairly frequently on business and normally stay in a more expensive hotel. This time I decided to try a Travelodge. I arrived at the hotel at 6pm. I was annoyed to be told after arrival that the hotel offered discounted car parking at nearby Moorfield Car park after I had paid a high overnight rate in a NCP car park. ( this could only be paid through an App which I had to download). A note on the prepayment receipt email could have solved this. I had not prebooked WIfi and had to do this at reception on my phone. I finally reached my room on the 7th floor which was quite spacious but not unfortunately very clean - someone else’s skiddies in the loo is not nice to find and housekeeping should have checked this. I had booked a super room at £88 including breakfast and although reasonably spacious, the room was pretty basic with a small wall mounted flat screen television and an uncomfortable chair. There was however a workspace. The hotel was having trouble with one of the 2 lifts which effectively meant that there was only 1 available. Being on the 7th floor this was more problematic for me than for other guests and necessitated long waits. The bed was quite hard as were the pillows but I slept reasonably well - I was very tired by the time I finally went to bed. The bathroom was very small and the shower curtain flooded the floor. The shower itself was very slippery and there was no mat. Breakfast was a disappointment. Buffet style (Premier Inn manage to cook to order) with hard rubbery eggs and dried up mushrooms and tomatoes. Not a great experience. Given the price I paid for the too and the problems with the lift and above all cleanliness. I will not chose Travelodge again.…
Fantastic hotel, very welcoming and friendly staff. Clean and tidy and the food is also very good! Great location, have everything you want on the doorstep Will definitely be staying here again soon!!
Only downside is travellodge have not reinstated luggage storage seeing as we are no longer in covid. Leaving an overnight bag would make us more inclined to use travel lodge more rather than an extra £10 to check in no out.
I stayed for 5 days and I really enjoyed your services, customer care was excellent especially from Gabriel. He gave a top notch service to me and all friends who stayed. So far I rate your hotel as excellent in all aspects in terms of hotel management.
This was definitely one of the better travelodges I have stayed at. The room was v large with lots of windows and light. It's an older building, but this obviously helps with soundproofing - although my room was right by the lift I didn't hear anything from outside the room. Shower v powerful as always in a Travelodge. Good central location. Would definitely stay here again
Good location for bars, restaurants, shopping and waterfront. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for a midweek city centre stay. Would stay here again
Stayed for 3 nights. Location is good in that it's central but set back enough from busy party areas that we didn't get disturbed. Few mins walk to shopping ctr and cavern club, 10 min walk to Albert dock. Room was comfortable and clean enough, small light in room didn't work, bathroom sink was sluggish to drain. Bed wss comfy and generally we got good nights sleep Staff were friendly enough but we found we always had to wait around for one to be available as they were always in the back - maybe need a couple more staff to ensure someone always around. Breakfast was okay, most things were checked and topped up frequently. Choice of butter, marg etc but found the only jam they had was apricot - would have been nice to get more options however the boxes remained empty throughout our stay.…
Excellent customer service good food and bar all on site spotless room well equipped and nothing was too much trouble for the staff very helpful on all of the tasks asked for them will be returning to this hotel
Short version is *Bed made a noise everytime you moved * Terrible customer service from man on bar but rectified by good customer service from Claire. * Cleaners decided to blare out music on a speaker whilst cleaning room next door. * Good location * Expensive at carpark even with voucher as is not charged at £9 like stated on website.
