Great hotel next door to Liverpool Lime street station and The Liverpool Empire. Very clean and comfy room...decent size bathroom. Tea /coffee and biscuits in the room. There was a slight mistake/confusion with our booking during the check in process but this was soon discovered and rectified effectively. Although next door to train station, room was quiet with very little station noise heard. The hotel was very busy when we stayed and prebooked timed slots were required for breakfast. This worked well and our breakfast was served with very little queing, everything being hot and plentiful. Loved the decor of the hotel....like a old fashioned ocean liner, with port holes on the doors and old suitcases in the reception area. Would recommend and we would stay here again.
I didn’t realise that our room would face the station and the noise of the announcements starts very early , for that reason I wouldn’t stay there again, it was fairly clean, the reception staff were pleasant but had no local knowledge. No fridge working in the room, towels were nice and fluffy! We also ate in the attached brassiere, not great , little for vegan / vegetarian,
We had a very enjoyable experience in this fabulous hotel wish we could of stayed for longer but could only make the 1 night stay. Breakfast was superb. Couldn't get a family room as they were booked so ended with a double and twin room they were both excellent standard, very clean. Hotel only about 15 - 20 minutes walk from the docks paid £5 on carpark as we arrived at 9am free residents parking from 1pm for 24hrs. All staff were so welcoming and friendly throughout our stay and when we arrived they were doing a father's Day dad's eat free menu on the Sunday so decided to book it and oh it was well worth it the food and service was 2nd to none. Everything about this hotel was 5***** and can't wait to book again later in the year. Thank you The Liner Hotel. 👏👏👍
My wife and I like this hotel because it was convenient to the railway station. We have stayed here on a few occasions and doesn’t disappoint. The staff are ever so friendly the front of house were excellent. Also a mention to the breakfast crew as well. We will be back
good hotel clean and comfortable room - with coffee/tea facility and hairdryer shower okay clean white towels great location - 5 min walk into city centre and around 15 minute walk to Albert Docks parking available - £5.00 for 24 hours if you arrive before 1pm or free for hotel residents after 1pm - but limited spaces reception staff very helpful - and we could check in early as rooms were available. obviously not a guarantee Breakfast was lovely and plentiful - if you go hungry it will be your own fault - only downside was we had a station side room - a little noisy and we know every departure time of the trains !!! would stay again but request a roadside room
We picked this hotel because it was very close (~2-minute walk) to the train station and we had a very early train after our stay. Definitely worth it. The hotel itself is very nice and our suite had 2 large bedrooms for the 3 of us to share. This is great for a family as it gives a little privacy. We went to the Beatles museum and saw a show at the Philharmonic Hall (both a ~15-minute walk) and it is very close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Maybe we were tired, but our third-floor room overlooked the train station and we never heard announcements. We unfortunately didn't get to experience the breakfast, but overall a great place to stay in Liverpool.
Our group of 13 spent two nights at The Liner and were impressed with the service we received and the rooms, which were clean and comfortable and very well soundproofed. I slept with my window open so could hear faint announcements from Lime St Station but as far as internal noise, I hardly heard a thing. We all dined in the restaurant on the first evening and took advantage of the pre-theatre dining menu which proved to be excellent value for money and of good quality. Thanks goes to Graham the restaurant manager for helping me to organise the meal for our party. The Castaway bar staff were pleasant and polite and the outside seating area is great for when the weather is good and you want to enjoy a drink or two. All the staff I encountered during our stay were very pleasant, reception were very helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate and had a good selection. The location is perfect for Lime St station, a couple minutes walk away and also just a 20 minute walk from the Royal Albert Docks. I would definitely stay at The Liner again if visiting Liverpool. It exceeded expectations.…
Good position, clean comfortable room and excellent staff. Breakfast and dinner in restaurant were both first class. Goo parking. But main mention must go to staff who make this hotel a very good place to stay in Liverpool.
Stayed for 3 nights and this was our 4th time over the last 6years, the room was clean and comfortable. We had dinner twice in the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it ,the staff were very friendly and helpful.would not hesitate to recommend and of course the free parking is great .
Stayed here whilst attending a work function. The hotel is very central for the train station and ideal of attending the theatre. Room was ok possibly a little dated and lacking plug or usb sockets to charge appliances. Staff were ok, had some issues checking in due to it being central booked and initially staff not that helpful but a manger eventually sorted it
