Just back from a 2 night stay 22to24/6/2022 as part of a group of 37 this was a package of 2 nights bed breakfast and evening meal on arrival reception was under staffed our first nights meal was atrocious the portions were tiny came with no sauces breakfast next morning was a free for all again under staffed had to grab your own table find your own cultery etc only saving grace was the food the second nights dinner was worse than the first one of the desserts was artic roll it looked as if the portions handed out had been cut with a bacon slicer they were basically non existent will never visit or recommend this hotel .
This has got to be one of the worst places we have ever stayed in. The whole place is very dated and quite grubby we had a so called privilege room where the blackout curtains were so threadbare streams of lighter coming in through all of the holes, the bathroom was really grubby with dirty tiles and the bath full of chips off the paint. We were on a deal that included an evening meal which was very hard to book a time for as and I quote the reception staff "we have a large group in and you will have to wait until I can give you a time!" Really? We eventually got a time 8pm we went to the restaurant and guess what we weren't on the list and were told "I have 30 guests here for a 3 course meal I bet they didn't tell you that at reception!" Yet again really? We eventually got seated at about 9pm surprise surprise lots of things on the menu were not available we selected and waited an age (I wish we hadn't bothered as it was awful) we watched as staff just wandered around with plates of food not knowing where to take them just a total shambles. I honestly can't think of one redeeming feature for this hotel there are many better alternatives.…
Great location for accessing what Liverpool has to offer. Fabulous room with amazing view of the Liver building and the Mersey. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a large selection of different food options.

We Stayed in this hotel with friends for a night out in Liverpool. The location of the hotel is fantastic a minutes walk to Albert Dock and a short walk into the city centre. Breakfast next day was plentiful with lots if choice staff were friendly and efficient. Couldn't fault a thing
We arrived early and were able to check in promptly. The room was lovely overlooking the Docks and liver Buildings. Very close to railway station and a short walk into the city centre. Ideal location for a night out
Lovely friendly staff. Efficient check in amazing view of the Liverpool docks and liver Building from our Room The hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking the Docks with bars and Restaurants galore
We stayed here for two nights on a city break. It is in a great location and only a short walk to many of the museums, shopping areas and docks. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful with any queries we had. The room had a fantastic view of the Liver Building and docks and really made our stay special. The room had recently been modernised and was clean. The shower was hot and really powerful and the bath huge! The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was much appreciated as it did get quite warm at night. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the restaurant/bar area was nicely decorated and relaxing to sit in.
Our first foray into the world of 'normalness' after Covid lockdown to attend the Stones Concert and a one night stay booked at the Mercure. Price was competitive; the staff helpful and friendly; the room spotless and comfortable and a generally nice wholesome experience. If I were to be a tad critical, the lottery of car parking availability is an anxiety we could have done without but hey, we did get a space. The food was good, even though we had a half hour wait in the dining room because we had booked a 5pm table to enable our evening out. I wanted this hotel to complement our total experience and it didn't disappoint. Thank you!
The staff are awesome, very rare nowdays to have such friendly smartly dressed attentive waiting staff. Well done. My sister treated me to this afternoon tea. I'm gluten free so this was accommodated. We had the cocktails beautifully presented and delicious. The table we had, gave us the views we so appreciated and I felt emotional with the views. Highly recommended for the old fashioned service and tea items were delicious, well presented too.
