We chose to stay at The Hillthwaite as a treat and opted for the 2-night break package. This included a bottle of prosecco on arrival, windermere lake boat trip, champagne afternoon tea, dinner the first night and £20 towards dinner on the 2nd night. Also...More
The hotel is very comfortable. The service and food is excellent. It is exactly 0.9 miles from Windermere and the same from Bo'ness and on the steep side of a hill, so walking involves quite a lot of 'up'.
Our room was small, stuffy and looked out on to a back yard. The breakfast wasn’t properly cooked or rather everything on the plate could have been hotter. This impersonal place is overpriced. The price is as steep as the hill on which it is...More

Hi, we didn't pay any extra to use them. I believe they are free for all guests. I looked at the hotel on a few different websites and there was no mention of a charge. We were also told by reception we could use the pool even before checking in if we wanted to. I don't think you would get a spa package as such as it's just a pool and a sauna. They don't do treatments- or not what I know of.
