Nice comfortable centrally located hotel within walking distance of the town centre. Staff are courteous and friendly, the bar restaurant food was good and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I would highly recommend it particularly because of the location.

Thanks very much for your visit and stay. Bond is elusive, but most likely he was at the bar for the majority of your stay! So pleased you had a nice time and will hopefully see you again. Many thanks.

Thanks so much for your review and lovely comments. You do highlight an issue when travelling with dogs. We suppose people do often leave their dogs in the room, but as you suggest this isn't always the case. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a little angel for a dog! During breakfast, what has worked for others is doing a quick reconnaissance of the breakfast offering in the restaurant. Afterwards, if both of you know what you want, one person can go up, grab a tray and prepare both breakfasts to be brought down whilst the other person sits with the dog. Because of the layout of the hotel due it being an old tannery, the restaurant being upstairs is not always the perfect setup for dog owners at breakfast! Having said all that, another easy way is just to ask one of our helpful staff who will happily sit with your dog for 5 minutes whilst you get breakfast! Just a few thoughts for your next (hopefully!) visit. Many thanks.

Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?
Hello, thanks for your questions! Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. However, they are allowed in the bar and you can eat off of the restaurant or bar menu in there. Hope that helps!

Does the hotel have air con?
Hello and thanks for your question. Wayne is right, we don't have AC here and most places don't find it necessary as England doesn't normally get very hot, although earlier this summer it did, it has since cooled down again. Hope that helps!
