Located on a roundabout - about 20 minutes walk to city centre - drop off point at front of hotel and multi storey nearby (no subsidised parking). Usual style Jurys Inn, bit grubbier than I’ve experienced elsewhere - poor cleaning standards and stained carpets - fixtures and fittings all a bit bashed about, looks like it’s due a refurbishment and freshen up. We arrived at the same time as a stag party of around 50 blokes wearing matching T-shirt’s and a group of teens carrying boxes of beer under their arms - probably around 70 people checking in and two reception staff - not a great start. We are a family and would probably avoid this hotel at weekends as they seem to attract a party style crowd. Bar service slow and unfriendly and WORST OF ALL they are still not serving breakfast!! Delivered paper bags with croissants and yoghurts and juice in - plus they had some hot sandwiches on a serving plate in reception - no usual buffet breakfast. We were not told about this when we booked and have stayed in other hotels who have restarted their breakfast service - I think Jurys are using Covid as an excuse to save money. Totally unacceptable - they are happy to have 70 people wearing no masks crammed into reception but won’t offer breakfast - complete rubbish. Hotel room hot and window didn’t open. View from window a building site. In summary - don’t recommend and would not stay here again, badly maintained and badly managed. Very unhappy.

Stayed here as part of the Paulton's Park pakakge. Picked this holiday for it's location even though there is no car park in this hotel. Overall stff was friendly and pleasant and the breakfast was also okay. The big let down was the condition of the rooms! Clearly needs refurnishing, the bathroom has a damp smell which was very unpleasant which was probably due to a lack of ventilation or window in the bathroom. Then to make matters worse the wall and floor next to bathroom also is damp so the person sleeping closest to that side of the wall needs to brace themselves for a tough nights sleep. Also the 3 or so drop-off/pick-up spaces outside the hotel are occupied every morning as people probably park there to avoid paying an extra hour parking in the nearby council parking. The only plus was the air conditioning which working and was a godsave given it was 30+ degrees outside. Also the parking recommended by the hotel are quite far and not the best. I would recommend parking in the King's Park Rd carpark. It's the same prices as others as its managed by the council. Don't know why the hotel does not mention this capark?!

All staff are very helpful, welcoming and professional. Big thumbs up. I had to be swapped rooms becsuse my initial room was not as clean as I would like, however, the reception resolved this. In some areas the hotel interiors needs just a little TLC, like proper DIY with carpets and walls. But only in the rooms, but again this is a few small areas on the room. Great location.

Please avoid this hotel. Our first room our air con did not work on a boiling hot day and was left for 2 hours before anyone moved us. My two year old was dripping with sweat, crying to the point we had to go outside as it was cooler than our room despite driving 3 hours to the hotel and wanting to relax. The second room was uncleaned, beds still unmade, hair in the bed, bathroom filthy, carpets full of food and dirt. The third room was cleaned but the window had been left open and the room was filled with flies and bugs. We then turned up for breakfast at 8.30am and was turned away that we was too late. I think it’s ridiculous that breakfast is only served between 7-8am. We was offered a bread role and that was it. We then had to take our children (2&8) to peppa pig world hungry. We was offered no discount of good will not even so much as a real apology. We was moved 3 times on three different floors with two young children. It really ruined our experience as a family and we would never return to this hotel. I know this review will probably have a generic reply back from the management and nothing will actually be done but would like to warn others with young families so they don’t have the same experience we do.

The staff were very friendly and very accommodating to guests. However I had an awful night’s sleep! My room was tucked away and I could still hear the cars zooming passed. The closest car park to this is up two flights of stairs around a 5 minute walk away but its not secure. The room had apparently been cleaned but there were short black hairs all over the bathroom and none of my party have short black hair. The beds were okay..ish, I wouldn’t stay again.
