Had a fabulous couple of days at this hotel, where the staff were warm and friendly from start to finish. Whilst I would say that this is an older hotel, our standard room was large, warm and very clean. Pool, sauna and steam room were fine, massages were excellent. We also enjoyed a full breakfast each day and set menu was also very good. Overall, good value for money and really enjoyed a relaxing break!

Stayed for 2 nights with 1 dinner and 2 breakfast + afternoon tea. Food is really disappointing, specially anything vegetarian and/or vegan. The vegetables and rice burrito had literally 0 vegetables, it was a rice wrap. Other dishes were OK at a push considering the price. After dinner went to the bar and ordered a Mojito, which I was sure there was no rum. After questioning, we got it on the house as the could not find mint. Staff did all they could but it shows they are understaffed as the lady serving me at restaurant was the same rushing behind the bar trying to make a mojito. The cocktail menu was a A4 paper printed with the recipes and steps of how to make them. After that, we felt sorry for the lady and tried to order a simple gin and tonic, which we charged £14 pounds each. That is absurdly expensive. The place is stuck in 1990s. The tvs are old, the decor is poor, the food is ok at best but it's hit and miss. For the priced we paid it is a really poor choice and I would not recommend to anyone. Best part of the stay was to find elsewhere to eat and drink.

We have arrived for a 2 night stay and already on our first night are planning to go out away from the hotel for our second night. The restaurant choices are pretty poor themselves but then when the food comes it's even more disappointing than you thought it would be. A vegetable and rice burrito is basically a bag of microwaved vegetable rice wrapped in a tortilla. Just awful. Then the bar which you think will help drown your sorrows doesn't even employ actual bar staff, so even though they have ingredients, they won't make a cosmopolitan, or any cocktail not found on their A4 instructions list of 6 options using pre mixed cocktails (which on sampling, I do not believe contain much if any alcohol) As if that wasn't bad enough they also have the audacity to charge £14 for a gin and tonic. Not even a fancy gin either, just a bombay sapphire....I pay less for fancy proper cocktails in Central London, am I missing something here?! I am looking forward to the breakfast in the morning as they make it sound nice, but to be honest I'm also concerned that it will be a massive let down. The rooms needs a heavy duty upgrade, no smart TV, a phone fresh out of home alone and a Bible in the night stand (which I found highly offensive as a follower of a different religion). This place needs to get with the times, hire actual food loving enthusiastic chefs, and mixologists. I literally can't wait to go and have dinner and drinks somewhere else tomorrow night. Booked as a birthday present for my partner and finding myself having to apologise for how crap this place is. Avoid if you can, not worth the money at all.
