I am absolutely disgusted with this hotel. We have found a pair of soiled underpants in our room under the table. We have been so looking forward to visiting. Extremely disappointed. Absolutely shambolic

This once delightful, classy and prestigious hotel has been transformed into an overpriced 2 star. We waited 40 minutes to check in, no more valet parking which means a 15 minute hike to the local ncp, no restaurant, bar food menu that makes a grubby pub appealing, shabby rooms with no fridge, tired and unclean bathroom (which we couldn’t use because there was no hot water) , a room for 2 with 1 chair on the balcony to ensure one of you stand to enjoy the views. All for the bargain price of £300 per night. We had booked for 2 nights and would have walked out were it not for the fact we were meeting family. Needless to stay we cancelled the second night and demanded a refund, which we received only after listing the above faults, but am still waiting for the apology, won’t hold my breath. The only positive thing I can provide was the resilience of the bar team under Jenny??. They smiled through even when telling the assembled boat show crowd that they couldn’t have a beer as there was no gas. Obviously no-one told them the show was coming. Neger mind, I thought, off to the mini-bar instead….silly me, you can see the miseabke gap in the furniture where it used to be, along with the coffee table so you now have to put the tea tray on the floor. Appalling, my fingers hurt from typing but don’t get me started on the breakfast police. Book at your peril, you have been warned.

Good Afternoon paulrM8720LJ, Thank you for staying with us recently and for taking the time to leave a review, we are happy to learn that you found our bar staff to be great and resilient, especially Jenny. Meanwhile, I am very sorry to read that some other aspects of your stay didn't reach the same high standard. Serving our customers in the best way possible is immensely important to us, however we haven’t been able to meet our very high standards since the ongoing pandemic has made our staffing numbers less consistent. We would love to welcome you back to Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels once normality has returned to enjoy an experience much closer to the ones that our guests have always been able to rely on. Kind Regards Melisa Customer Experience Team

These are busy times in Southampton with the Boat Show a half marathon and a cycle race around the city, not to mention the five huge cruise ships based there, all bringing issues for the staff to deal with ie parking, taxi shortages and roads blocked off etc. They coped very well with it all with a smile and professional efficiency. I had an issue with parking and it was sorted out immediately by Eugen Patrascu, the manager I would definitely recommend this hotel with its excellent staff, wonderful ,setting close to the town and superb views of the ships sailing in and out of the Solent.

Paid for one night with 4 days parking in Hotel car park but told to park in Shopping Mall a week before visit. Too late to change. Came home to a Parking Charge of £100 for 1 hour parking whilst registering because staff did not log car registration as guest of hotel. As in all the other complaints only useless apologies received but no action.
