we have stayed before several times and always get a wonderfully warm welcome. The kingfisher room has its own private bathroom a few steps away and is luxurious with walk n shower and a variety of toiletries. the room is extremely spacious with lavish decor, crushed velvet boudoir chairs, plenty of pillows, celling fan for if it's hot, window blind for perfect blackout as well as attractive curtains. dressing gowns and slippers are provided and a fridge for fresh milk for the tea tray. O|n arrival we were brought tea and coffee to the room on a tray. Breakfast is amazing with a very wide range of cereals and fruit and an interesting take on cooked breakfast options as well as the usual full English, all served in a beautiful conservatory. Very highly recommended. Transport to and from Glyndebourne was an added bonus and just so relaxing. Very highly recommended. Thank you Carol and Ceri. we will come again!

What wonderful and welcoming hosts Carol and Ceri are! Nothing was too much trouble for them. and they were most accommodating. We stayed in the stunning Peacock room with it's private bathroom [equally as stunning]. The room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable it was difficult to get out of it every morning and the pillows were soft and fluffy. Nice touches with the slippers and bathrobes, lovely toiletries and fluffy bath towels. We can honestly say that this B & B was far superior to some 5* hotels we've stayed in.
We were made to feel very much at home, the ambience in the house was fabulous, the decoration of which was exquisite and eye opening, Ceri gives credit to Carol's interior design prowess for that! Breakfasts are a sumptuous feast at Beechwood and it is tailor made and cooked to your individual choice. The garden is to die for, beautifully landscaped with comfortable loungers if you wish to while away a few hours. There really was nothing to complain about, our visit was perfection. Thank you so much Carol and Ceri, we will most definitely be back as soon as we are able! Sharon and Tim x

The hosts Carol and Ceri were delightful and welcomed me warmly on a Friday. I was on a course nearby all week and wanted a nice treat to unwind before heading home Sunday.

As it was close to Christmas, the festive decorations were up and it made me feel like a small child again. They had their two lovely grandchildren around, plus two charming dogs which made the stay more special.

The rooms are furnished and presented to a very high standard, each room has a theme (I stayed in the peacock room). There are some great touches with the furnishings and accessories, bed is very comfy and there are complimentary bathrobes and slippers should you need them. I was offered a choice of rooms as I was the only one staying that weekend and had the the privilege of using my own separate large bathroom with electronic controls in the shower.

Breakfast was great, finely cooked served by Ceri each morning. There is a lovely 2 mile scenic walk around the property too which I enjoyed, saw some horses along the way too.

I highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting the county!

The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. The house is very comfortably furnished and the garden is beautiful. Guests are allowed to use most of the house. Everything is provided in the bedrooms - from a tray with a variety of teas and coffees plus kettle, to a bathroom with a variety of toiletries. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of hanging space and drawers. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. The choice at breakfast was vast, from a selection of cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, cheese, marmalades and jams to a large choice of cooked food, all freshly prepared to order and delicious! I can't recommend this property highly enough. We had a wonderful couple of days staying there.

First class hospitality; professional yet friendly. Especially notable are the excellent choice at breakfast-time to cater for all requirements - & the comfort of the bed. A great deal of thought has gone into the provision of facilities for guests.

Excellent welcoming accommodation providing everything you could think of - and more. The room was one of the best equipped that I have stayed in - comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe and storage space, and large bathroom with walk in shower and deep fluffy towels. There was an excellent choice of breakfast, which was freshly made and generous, and the surrounding gardens provided a beautiful setting. The accommodation was also surprisingly quiet, given its site on the A22. I have already recommended Beechwood to friends going to Glyndebourne or wanting a stay in Susses.

As soon as you drive into the driveway the look of the property is inviting. Carol & Ceri are warm & welcoming hosts. Their home is beautiful. The Kingfisher room we had was at the front. Lovely comfortable large room, superbly decorated Inc 2 easy chairs, a mini fridge, tea/coffee making, an amazing en-suite bathroom with shower & bath and lovely toiletries. Bed was comfortable. And in these covid times we felt very much at ease. Everything was spotless. I loved the beautiful interior everything was stunning, obviously an eye for superb quality interior design. Breakfast was served in the conservatory overlooking the well presented big back garden. The full English was hot & very tasty. Many choices on the menu. The hosts made us feel very welcome & were so lovely.I cannot recommend this stunning B&B highly enough we had a perfect 2 night stay & would definitely stay again.

Our third visit to a truly outstanding B&B on our annual visit to Glyndebourne opera. Welcomed personally at the door by Carol and Ceri and offered refreshment after our journey. Room immaculate with splendid shower for me and bath for Sheila. Hand cooked breakfast to order scrumptious.
We have tried several different B&Bs over the years (some very good, others not so good) but Beechwood is the best. We look forward to our visit next year.

We were guests at a wedding up the road. The hotel was fully booked (luckily for us) so we booked here and so glad I did.
Text on the morning asking for our Eta they allowed us to check in early as the wedding started at 1.
Breakfast was delicious, cooked to perfection, and what a choice! Every cerial u can think of, fruit, yougerts, cheese, bread and a list of cooked breakfast we were asked to give the the day before so we wouldn't have to wait for it to be cooked! (wouldn't of had that service at the hotel!)

The room was lovely massive comfy bed. Everything in the room we needed plus extras I didn't even know I wanted or needed! The sleep pillow sprey was a nice added touch.
Complamentry slippers and dressing gowns.
Our bathroom was just along the corridor but exclusive use for use. The shower was good, great flow (I hate it when u go to places and the water trickles out!)
Every where was clean and beautiful.
And the garden! What a garden. Uts a shame we had to leave straight from breakfast it would of been nice to sit out there for 10 min in the peace and quiet.

I will definitely have to find a reason to go back and stay here.

I was recently in Sussex working at the Women's European Soccer Championships for several weeks, and stayed at Carole & Ceri's wonderful B&B for two nights - it was by far the best place I stayed during my visit.
They were very welcoming, showing me to a lovely comfortable room with its own bathroom overlooking a wonderful garden. The attention to detail and the warm, friendly welcome are exactly what makes travelling in England so special, and the breakfast the following morning was head and shoulders above the many hotel buffet efforts that I experienced.
Many of their guests are there to visit the local opera but in truth their B&B is perfect for anyone travelling around the south coast - I sincerely hope that I have reason to pass that way again in the future, and if I do I'll be booking a room with them again.
