We stayed here for 4 days recently, as a base to visit Hastings and other nearby attractions. Reception staff were always friendly and helpful. There was an issue on the last day with not being able to access our room again before we were due to check out and this was swiftly sorted out by reception. The rooms were as expected of Premier Inn ... clean, comfortable and functional. Although a in a good location, a car is definitely required and we found it very easy to get around and visited the beach, Smuggler's Adventure, the castle ruins, Hastings Old Town, Bexhill on Sea, St Leonards on Sea and even spent a day in Eastbourne! There's a large Sainsbury's opposite the hotel for stocking up on snacks and essential items plus there's also a McDonald's. Breakfast at the pub next door was good and plentiful, they did run out of some food items during our stay but considering the amount of half-eaten plates of food I saw due to some people's gluttonous behaviour, I'm not really surprised! We did not have lunch or dinner in the restaurant so cannot comment. Would definitely stay here again though ... thanks Premier Inn for an enjoyable stay.

Hotel's Favourite
We've stayed in this Premier Inn several times and have always had a good experience. Our family room was clean, comfortable and exactly how I would expect to find it. At the moment there is no room servicing so it would be useful if they increased the tea / coffee / milk offering so you don't have to keep asking at reception but that's just a small thing. The air-conditioning unit seemed largely ineffectual but the windows open which helps a bit. We had to wait quite a while for a staff member to appear to check us in despite ringing the bell which was a bit annoying but all the staff we came across were very friendly, We had breakfast both mornings which is a bit hit and miss during these 'covid so table service only' times as it takes quite a long time to get served but the food was good and the staff were welcoming. It takes about 10-15 minutes to drive down to the seafront from the hotel which is well located next door to a Sainsburys (with petrol) and a McDonalds. Covid signage, precautions and sanitisers were very evident. There is plenty of parking. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Hastings.

I’ve just returned from a 3 night stay with my 5yr old. Had a fantasy time and was really pleased with this hotel. All the reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful and so cheerful and friendly was so nice to see in these difficult times. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Clean towels and extra tea and coffee were so easy to obtain and staff more than happy to accommodate us. Breakfast was amazing and restaurant staff all happy and super hard working. Will definitely return on our next seaside visit! Great job by all staff.

Given the pandemic situation, we do need to make allowances but even with that in mind this was a very disappointing stay. This is my third time at this venue and my last time was actually last August when pandemic lockdown eased briefly. First off, the day before arrival I got an Email telling me check in time was pushed back to 1700 to allow extra time for covid complaint cleaning. I accept later check in as a result of this but to notify me the day before arrival when it was booked months ago was a bit poor, even a weeks notice would have been much more suitable. Secondly, even though I had booked a family room so clearly had children, they decided to give me a room in the ground floor 'Quiet Zone', completely illogical! Given they had extra time for 'Covid cleaning', the room was in a pretty grotty state. The shower head was hanging off, the bath had dirt in it and it wasn't a ground in stain that couldn't be cleaned as a quick spray with the shower washed it away. There were also cob webs throughout and a very musty smell. More annoying was that the towels provided were actually damp. Not sure if they had been sprayed with something to kill germs or just hadn't been dried properly during laundering. The restaurant was also a little disappointing. Despite having a very reduced menu quite a lot of it wasn't available, leaving you with just a couple of choices or in some cases no choice at all... They only actually had one of the kids starters which was vegetable sticks. Compared to other Premier Inn's this one really is looking very 'tired'. I do feel bad giving such a negative view during these devastating times for the hospitality industry but having stayed here several times it really was poor and my recent stays at other venues haven't been as poor as this

We had a comfortable stay at the Premier Inn over a busy Bank Holiday a weekend . We checked in promptly at 4pm & greeted my nice lady at reception. We were offered various booking times for breakfast & was happy with breakfast at the pub that’s next door. My only complaint was a smell in the room that we noticed every time we returned to the room & the toilet not flushing well. I did report this to reception so hopefully they can get this sorted for the next guests. The room was 225 on the second floor which otherwise was fine & very quiet part of the hotel. Good location to explore the surrounding area.
