The Leonardo Hotel Brighton garners praise for its clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds, though a few guests mention noise issues and the sofa beds as less than ideal. Its amenities, including a varied breakfast selection, contribute to its appeal, despite some dated aspects. Guests appreciate the modern and welcoming atmosphere, as well as the hotel's central location near Brighton station.
The staff's friendliness and professionalism are frequently commended. However, while the value is generally appreciated, expensive parking has been a point of contention for some visitors.

Magnificent hotel located in front of the train station and about twenty minutes walk from the beach. I had a single room for one night on a room-only basis, at a price of 52 pounds (about 60 euros). The hotel allows you to do both check-in and check-out online, which saves a lot of time. The room was spacious, modern, spotless, with television, air conditioning, ironing equipment, kettle, complimentary coffee and tea, enough plugs, gel and shampoo dispensers, good wifi, etc. Very friendly receptionists. The only negative point is that the dispensers did not work well and it was very difficult to get gel or shampoo, but I am not going to penalize you for that, as the value for money is really unbeatable.

I’ve been staying at this hotel quite regularly over the last 5 years and had the pleasure of seeing the front desk team get better and better from very average to what I believe to be the best in Brighton now and over the last few months….long may it last! I also stay regularly at the Brighton IHG and Hilton hotels but they are much less consistent than the Brighton station Leonardo so I thought I should say so on here as great service is often not called out when poor service is quickly reported. On my last visit Mihai (I think that’s his name) on reception even remembered my surname and greeted me very warmly as I walked in which I’ve never had before anywhere and I’ve not stayed that often at this hotel to be fair….it really caught me off guard but was really appreciated. Thank you all and well done in exceeding my expectations which isn’t easy as I’m very hard to please (so I’m told anyway)
The bar, food service and entire bar team is pretty good too and again much improved from the Jury’s days but they could offer a better selection of food but I’m sure that will come. It’s such a great and comfortable space that needs to be discovered by more Brighton folk.
I’ve found the rooms consistently good and always very clean which I value highly when away from home and I’ve been lucky enough to have never been disturbed by any noise (as is frequent in other hotels) although I do say on my preferences I like to be on a high floor away from the elevators. Maybe that’s a good tip for other travellers. Enjoy.

We had an executive room, booked as a bank holiday treat, we had a super king size bed which was quite honestly one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in! The air-conditioning in the room was very good. We had a room that faced the car park and Brighton station and considering it was a busy area, it was a very quiet room. The bathroom was okay absolutely fine for one night a little on the small side and a little bit outdated but clean and perfectly usable . We went down for breakfast at around 10 am and it was extremely busy, they look like they were a little bit shortstaffed as there were lots of tables that hadn’t been cleared so we didn’t know whether we could sit at them or not, but we asked a member of staff to clean off a table. It was sorted really quickly and we were able to get our breakfast. The quality of the breakfast was excellent. There were scrambled eggs and fried eggs, the sausages and bacon were delicious along with fruit, smoothies, pastries, cakes, and cereals anything you would want really for a breakfast offering. There was a very reasonable car park opposite the hotel which cost £23 for the whole weekend which for Brighton I thought was good value. Position of the hotel was excellent, right by the station and only a 10 minute walk to the North lanes and 15 minutes to the seafront.

This hotel is located at the side of the main railway station for Brighton and can be accessed through a walkway straight from the main concourse, only being 2-3 minutes walk from there. We arrived on the train and were able to store our bags straight away so we could go out and start to enjoy the town and sights of Brighton. The staff were very helpful and room comfortable and well located. The free breakfast was also very enjoyable and tasty. We were also able to store our bags following check-out until our train at 1900, which was very useful.
The hotel is good value, modern and conveniently located for those arriving in the town via public transport and is highly recommended.

Room wasn't ready when we arrived at 1430, so we went to the pub. Room was ready when we returned. Room (342) was clean and bright with plenty of fluffy white towels and spotless bedding. The room had a shower and bath, limited space to hang clothes and a kettle with teas/coffees, etc. The main problem with the hotel was the food. Breakfast was ok although quite often the food wasn't ready and/or replenished when service started. The evening meal we had included with our booking (business group booking as we were attending a conference in town) was shambolic. Every night of the 5 nights we ate there, there was rice, sometimes two rice dishes. The main components each evening were pre-packed chicken slices in varying sauces, with a pasta dish usually. These main courses were like slop and barely edible. One night there was battered fish and after a few people had had a serving, they ran out. They brought a few more portions out, but had cut it up into dainty kid-friendly portions. These then ran out and they brought out fish cakes that had been cut in half. The food died not match the hotel's supposed rating. The meals were more like school dinners, and bad school dinners at that. The desserts each night were of the frozen sloppy gateau variety and again were only slowly replenished.

Stayed with my family (two children) in a family room. Nice clean and efficient hotel with very friendly staff. Managed to check in early, v positive attitude from reception staff. Rooms are slightly small but we were a family so can live with that, they were cleaned to a high standard daily. Buffet breakfast was very brisk, no queues, food was fine and pretty fresh. Bar staff friendly with no issues giving us empty wine glasses and ice to take to our room. The hotel is really well located and ideal for those arriving by train, however if you do drive be careful not to pull up outside the front door to drop off bags as this is a restricted road and you could be fined. Parking at £16.50 daily is in the train car park across the road. Overall, compared to some of the older more staid hotels in Brighton this is a nice modern alternative.

Rooms adequately cleaned; front reception staff helpful and bed comfortable. We were happy to see a USB plug in the room but less happy that it didn't work. Same for heating control which didn't work either and wasn't repaired over our entire 8 day stay; (the control instructions were for a different model of AC) . Fortuitously reception provided a small electric space heater which was ideal for drying our washing! With the new (?) management the hotel really needs a fairly comprehensive makeover because its current standards don't match the price; i.e poor value for money.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Leonardo Hotel Brighton and our entire stay from start to finish was perfect. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the train station so was ideal for us. The reception area and hotel as a whole is bright, airy and exceptionally clean, as was our huge room, which was extremely peaceful and quiet- we heard no noise from the station whatsoever. The breakfast was amazing, with many options for whatever we fancied both mornings. Lastly, the level of customer care offered was second to none, every staff member at the hotel was welcoming, friendly and accommodating - I must mention Ilenia in particular who absolutely went the extra mile to make our stay so special, we are so grateful to you and cannot thank you enough!

Had a double room with superior package which gave us additional benefits such as early check in from 12.00 (although we understand this benefit has just been changed to the standard time of 15.00), late check out until 14.00, 2 x 500ml bottles of water and biscuits on arrival, one free Costa coffee each at the bar for each day of our week’s stay (although we had to remind reception of this) and 10% off all food & drink in the hotel throughout our stay (although the fish & chips we tried was nothing special for £13.50 - after discount).
If you are arriving at Brighton train station, to get to the hotel, turn left as soon as you go through the ticket barriers and follow the signed path through the inside of the station to where the taxi rank is, and the hotel is only about a 100m ahead from there. Do not go out through the main south exit of the station. Good location for the hotel as a base close to the train station and a nice easy walk to the North Laine and The Lanes areas and the promenade. We would recommend Donatello Italian at The Lanes who do 2 nice courses for £12 & 3 courses for £15. They also own Pinocchio’s and do the same deals, but it was not as nice an experience.
Our room had tea & coffee (obtain extra supplies from reception), free wifi throughout, fully controllable air con, bath, desk & chair, iron & board, hairdryer. You can choose not to have your room serviced if you wish (just advise reception). If you need say replacement towels or toilet roll, request at reception. Leave any dirty towels or the waste bins (to be emptied) outside your room. The negatives to the room were lumpy pillows, only 4 hangars provided, there are no drawers for your belongings and no fridge. There are black out curtains, but the light comes in to the room from the sides of the curtains.
Brighton is a large lovely resort, with lots going on along the lengthy Palace pier, with nice walks along the wide beach path - where there are bars, cafes, ice cream shops, children's rides - heading west to Hove (try The Rockwater bar & restaurant on Hove beach and a mooch along Hove's main street of shops, bars & restaurants). Also head east along the promenade to the lovely marina complex where there are plenty of 'chain' restaurants, McD's and a pub amongst other amenities. Aswell as walking, we hired bikes (£13 each for 3 hrs, or £17 for 4 hrs+) to go even further each way along the dedicated cycle paths, and you can easily get to Rottingdean & Saltdean cycling beyond the marina.
The hotel and resort are well recommended!

Very poor check in, just given the key and that was it.. no info about the hotel, local area or where anything was in the hotel (restaurant, bar, elevator) etc… worst check in we’ve ever had all over the world. Had a snack in the restaurant which was a sandwich and a bowl of (so called soup) the sandwich was meant to be made with bloomer bread but was normal bread and looked like it was made by a child, when we complained to the waiter we was told… ‘oh well, that’s how we make them’ which is ridiculous behavior from a so called 4* hotel. 4* outside and 1* inside. We was out all day the first day, got back to the room at 16.45 and the room had not even been made up so we had to find the cleaner and ask them to do it. The next 2 days the room was made up BUT with no clean towels, sheets and tea/coffee etc not replenished
