Our recent stay at Blanch House in Brighton was a delightful experience. From the moment we stepped into the Georgian town house we were struck by the splendour.

Our room, Snowstorm, was just the right size for our break of several days. There was enough room to store our belongings and the room felt quite calming, thanks to the soothing colour scheme. Homemade biscuits had been provided too, which was a nice touch.

A comfortable bed allowed for a restful sleep and fresh towels each day was particularly helpful.

We loved the atmosphere of the breakfast room, where gentle music piped in each morning to serenade us, as we devoured ham, cheeses, porridge, croissants and copious cups of strong coffee. Although traditional cooked breakfasts are not offered, guests have a decent choice to select from and we were more than set up for the day with our breakfasts.

We rounded off a couple of evenings in the relaxing lounge/bar area. Well judged mood lighting, a well stocked bar and a cosy seating area was the perfect tonic before the ascent of the staircase to our room.

The team at Blanch House were all extremely charming and made the stay very enjoyable.

Highly recommended for travellers seeking a stress-free stay.

I arranged a 3 night stay from 22.05.22 as an extra birthday celebration for my husband, initially this was done via Hotels.com as I didn’t want to lose any room availability. 3hrs later I had a very friendly and professional call from the hotel in response to my initial query who then offered me a better deal for the same reduced price advertised on Hotels.com which gave us both free cocktails at their bar every day. I accepted this offer and continued to cancel the hotels.com booking at zero charge. When we arrived at the hotel they had also upgraded us to the Pierre jouet room which was just gorgeous ! The bed was also incredibly comfortable and fair to say every nights sleep was a good one!
All the staff that we met were so friendly it was honestly like we were staying with friends. A very special thanks needs to go to Faye who offered the better deal in the first place and who was so incredibly friendly the whole way through … remembering our names and situation when we arrived and offering advice of where to go and things to do as we also found out that Brighton Fringe was on at that time (which we hadn’t realized). The owner Kerry also deserves special thanks as not only did he upgrade us he also spoke to us like friends the whole time we were there. It really felt like a home from home.
Location wise the hotel is directly off of main Brighton seafront in Kemptown, perfectly situated for shops, coffee bars and bars / gay nightlife if u want it, but we had no noise or sound disturbance at all in all the time we were there. Bus routes are also locally convenient as is the pier and all its amenities. We went into central Brighton every evening and walked back without any issues at any time.
We would most definitely return to this hotel. We’ve stayed in many hotels all around the world and this is by far one of the friendliest we’ve stayed in. They are always asking if they can do anything more for you.

Wonderful one night stay in this fab boutique hotel. Lovely welcome on arrival where we were giving parking permit and a map illustrating where we could use it which was very helpful. We stayed in Snowstorm which was a good size beautifully decorated room with a comfy bed and a compact en-suite with gorgeous smelling products and plenty of towels.
Room had everything you could need including yummy handmade shortbread biscuits.
The continental breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a number of choices and we did not miss having a full English.
We will definitely be staying here the next time in Brighton.

I firstly want to say that the staff were excellent, so lovely and helpful, you couldn't fault them. The location is excellent and they organise a parking permit for 14 pounds and we got a parking space about four spaces down the street which was great. We were provided with a better room than we booked, so I feel bad saying that it wasn't quite as nice as I was expecting. It was definitely a great size and the bathroom was quite modern (unfortunately the shower tap was broken though, but still useable), but it was just the furnishings were older, but not quite 'nice old'. Breakfast was help yourself to croissants and a staff member organised what you wanted off the menu, hot and cold options. Hot chocolate was delicious. I was tossing up between this place and another similar property and I do wonder what the other one was like now and if I made the right choice. We only stayed one night (and ran out of toilet paper at the end). I think if the furnishings were 'nicer' I would have a more glowing review, sorry.

This was a last minute decision of a night away, I wish I'd looked at afew more hotels. "Boutique" not really sure about that one. Our room was dark, quite small, very dark bathroom, we had a comfy bed, but the room overlooked a pub, decor looked good but on closer inspection abit slapdash. The curtains on one side had a massive rip.Breakfast we didnt realise when booking is a continental one, its not self service, apart from juice, fruit salad, no cereals unless you ask. Menu says "white or granary toast" my husband asked for granary and got cheap very thin sliced brown basic bread, Hotel has perfect hosts and perfect location.

I booked Blanche House for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary and sent a special request advising them of this but it was either not read or completely ignored! We stayed in the 'Poppy' room, which was very small. We both wanted a shower before we went out that evening but was unable to as the water was lukewarm (it never got any hotter after running it for 10 mins) and the bathroom was freezing! It took 10 mins to get hot water out of the bathroom tap. We put the radiator on in the room before we went out (as it was cold)but found that it had been turned off when we got back. Our room backed onto a pub but, luckily, the noise wasn't an issue and didn't last long. There was a continental breakfast, apparently but we didn't stay for that as we'd had enough at that point and wanted to go. The staff were friendly enough but for £140 a night, and out of season, we expected a lot better and won't be going back.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights this week and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment you arrive Kerry is incredibly friendly and welcoming, helping us with parking then showing us on a map a few good places to go and things to see. They upgraded our room to Pommery for us free of charge, a very kind gesture that we really appreciated. As for the room itself it was spotless and beautifully decorated, and I don’t exaggerate when I say that the bed is the comfiest I’ve ever slept in!! The bathroom was again immaculate and the bath was huge(!). All the staff we met were so friendly and helpful - I genuinely couldn’t fault them in any way, we felt so catered to and looked after l, I’ve never experienced such great customer service that felt so genuine. The location is great, in walking distance from the pavilion and the i360 along with being really close to the pier and seafront. If I were to be picky the only thing I would suggest would be to have a few cooked options at breakfast, however our breakfast was always lovely and served with a smile - especially by Faye (!) 😃 thank you for an amazing stay and for your incredible hospitality! We felt so welcome and would return in a heartbeat ❤️

We wanted to book an independent hotel and stay away from the corporate end to see if seaside hospitality is still available. This hotel delivers in abundance. A pre arrival courtesy call to check all ok and if there are any special requirements we would like. On checking in, we were met in the lounge and the receptionist came out from behind the desk, shook our hands and offered a nice drink of chilled water. We were asked about our journey and what our plans were and if needs be they could make reservations for us. All staff we encountered were very professional, friendly and courteous. Breakfast was continental, part self service with larger items an order taken. This meant that all ham/cheese was freshly prepared to order. Location is great for beach. We found a local Italian restaurant that served great food. Local area can be a little intimidating at night. Room was spotless and room service very attentive. There is no lift but bags were carried to/from our room. The hotel was exactly what we wanted and we would definitely return.

Owner-manager, Kerry ensured my first visit to Blanch House progressed perfectly from arrival to departure. His great attention to detail is evident in the design and lay-out of the bedrooms and public areas - all created for the comfort and convenience of guests.

The location of the hotel also met approval, just a frisbee throw from Brighton Beach and a five minute walk to the Pier. Although located close to the frivolity of Kemp Town, Blanch House sits on a quiet side road, far from enough from the madding crowd.

Strongly recommended!

You buy parking ticket provided by the hotel at £10 per day! I honestly didn’t like this as you have to keep driving around looking for a reasonably close by place to park.
