I booked a Twin room as I was staying with my 21 year old son, got a shock when I opened the door to our room to find it was a double room! I went back down to reception who insisted I had booked a double, even when I showed her my booking confirmation that stated 'Double room (Twin)'. Got moved to another room on the second floor which was a twin. The room itself was clean and newly decorated but there was hardly room to swing a cat! Not much storage space, a rail with 6 coat hangers that was meant to be a wardrobe and no drawers to put anything in, so had to leave clothes in suitcase on the floor. Bedside table you could literally fit a drink and your phone on and it was full and the storage in the bathroom was non existent, nowhere to put anything in the shower and 2 small areas around 15 x 30 cms to put toiletries on. The view was awful as we overlooked the rear of the hotel, so a lovely view of a littered flat roof and seagulls that came pecking on the window whenever we were there!.The window lock was completely broken which I reported on the Thursday, a guy came to look and temporarily fixed it and said someone would come the next day but on checking out on the Monday, still no repair. Got woken in the morning to some sort of 'alarm/clicking' noise outside that went on for random amounts of time. Also, I could hear other people using the toilet which wasn't great!! Next to a nightclub, was expecting it to be noisier, but wasn't too bad except for the girl screaming on Sunday night!! Location is great, 10 minute downhill walk from train station (but not so great going back up!), close to seafront . Walked everywhere we wanted to go to. Shops great, some really quaint, some a complete dive, but think most seaside resorts are like this. Staff pleasant. Probably wouldn't book here again though as I've stayed in slightly more expensive 'budget' hotels which were far roomier.

The hotel has been recently refurbished and the rooms are very clean . We had a lovely sea view. The hotel is right on the seafront with good access to restaurants and attractions. Parking is near but we didn’t use that facility. It can be noisy at night purely of its location but that’s the only negative.

Lovely reasonably priced hotel with nice clean rooms/bathrooms, sea views, and a great location for exploring Brighton. Lots of parking five minutes walk from the hotel that is reasonably priced for 24hrs considering their location. Has a nice bar and lovely friendly staff. Can hear road noise/bars at night but we both sleep with earring plugs so didn’t bother us.

Next door to a nightclub so very little sleep, music until early morning and then rowdy people outside. The breakfast buffet was lukewarm so very unappetising, a very disappointing stay, would not use again.

Well after what can only be stated as an eventful stay at Travelodge Brighton Seafront I was disappointed to currently be offered not even half money back. They where kind enough to put on a show at 2am of a str8 couple having a demestic with the hight light of him kicking the door in. We admittedly had the cheap seat seats locked in our room so we only had audio. This was stated in my first email. During said performance we had the luxury of calling reception at 13p a minuite to inform them of the situation with our seating. Most disappointing was the fact at the end of the performance we went to get some air and the reception doors where open so anyone could walk in. We had paid good money for that show I was discussed that any Tom, Dick or Harriet could walk in. Needless to say reception on us booking out didn't mention the evenings performance as I don't feel they want to here our disappointed about our seating. All I can say #travellodgebrighton is 1 out 10 needs improvement.

Able to take my dog with me as a dog friendly hotel. People say about the noise but I couldn't hear a thing slept very well. The new bar was great in the hotel and breakfast was what you would expect.

Putting in a complaint. We paid extra £10 for early check in. Arrived at 11:55 and was told to wait. Was given a room number. Went up to the room, took a few times for the key card to go green. Once it did, we noticed that someone was STILL in the room! Clothes everywhere and movement on the bed. Very embarrassed, back down to reception we go to explain. Gave us the room opposite the unexpected guest. The room smelt of smoke and fresh towels smelt smokey. As we were going ready to start our afternoon, we kept hearing a beeping noise every 2 minutes we counted and it was coming from the corridor on our floor (2nd). 1am we got woken up by drunks in the corridor talking so loudly. This obviously cannot be helped but pretty rude of other customers. 6:30am we got woken up by a high pitched ringing noise. I realised this was due to someone flushing a toilet on our floor and the plumbing was making this sound. COULD NOT get back to sleep. My friend went to have a shower and there was no soap in the dispenser. Expressed our concerns at reception on check out but he didn’t seem interested at all! This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here and BOTB times have been a shambles! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
