Dear Rob / Hotel Manager, I was staying in a party of 10 people (5 adults 5 Children) this weekend. We were not able to have breakfast onsite and had to make alternative arrangements at very short notice. Our party had not been fully informed about the need to book specific slots for breakfast. I would strongly recommend that when guests are checking in using the screens, a staff member actively confirms that each guest fully understands the breakfast booking situation to their satisfaction - rather than it create problems when hungry guests (and further challenges for breakfast room staff) are expecting to be able to have breakfasts. It's a fundamental of any hotel check-in process that basic hotel processes e.g. having breakfast are fully explained to guests. This basic step was missed completely in the check-in process by this hotel and suggests that guest enjoyment is extremely low on the priority list here. I will avoid this hotel / hotel group in future. The virtual check-in is an interesting concept but hotels receive guests (i.e. actual people) not just confirmation numbers / statistics and money.....(overpriced and under whelming) Blackout blinds aren't - please install proper curtains Move the beds to the correct side of the rooms to avoid cool air-con air descending on guests faces when they sleep - the beds (at least in 320) are on the wrong side.

We stayed here for a night and had a great stay. Comfortable beds and happy staff. Swimming pool was great. The children were welcomed. Breakfast was lovely and room service great. Bus stop just outside with a 20 min journey to boscombe beach.

We visited as a couple and our toddler. The family room was a good size. Big bed and then a trundle on the floor which was fine for our 3 year old. Large shower, decent TV and all very clean. The hotel itself was good. The swimming pool was excellent. You have to book in advance so make sure you do before arriving. They have specific slots for children. Dinner in restaurant was good, burgers were nice and our toddler enjoyed the kids menu. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Sausages lacked flavour and bacon was tough. The continental was much better with Croissant, toast, fruit salad and yoghurt. Also cereal available and juice/ tea and coffee. Probably wouldn't have had breakfast second morning if not already paid. Location really good, parking is free on a weekend and there are loads of buses from the hospital which is two minute walk to the beach and other parts of Bournemouth. It made the hotel a good base. Some guests were really rude there to the staff and I really felt for them. Guests not wearing masks and just complaining at staff who seem to work all the time there. Overall we had a good stay and would come again.

If you are going to stay here, be prepared. The hotel has prepared accordingly to acknowledge the covid restrictions, however has forgotten to communicate to the guests in the process. We were not advised that our room would not be serviced, we were not advised that we had to pre-book a time slot for breakfast which resulted in only early slots being available, not ideal for leisure time. I think most frustrating was returning to the hotel after a day out to have a drink in the bar, and a bite to eat to be told that we could not enter ts they were already full. This was very frustrating as residents, we had to make a fuss to eventually be allowed into the bar. I think this was only due to a cancellation. We were not advised of any of these changes at our check in. This resulted in a very poor stay overall, so be aware of all of this if staying there.

Slow service despite not being too busy and we ate in for a quick burger to get our toddler to bed but ended up being over 2 hours. Menu was hard to read and options weren’t great unless you wanted a burger or a complicated salad
