This hotel has the ideal.lication. walking distance from town, but quietly placed by the seafront between Bournemouth pier and Boscombe pier, both walking distance. The hotel is having alot of refurbishments. We have stayed in inadequate rooms on the stair well. However, on all other visits we have stayed in family and twin rooms, very spacious and nicely renovated. Our room was still being renovated so we had no bed side tables or drawers and the tv was tiny being so far from the bed. But beautifully decorated and always comfortable beds. I recommend eating out as the pub and restaurant service is non existent. Pre booked breakfast has a great variety and usually good service. We had a trainee who would wander off mid order and forgot half the items, but these things happen when training. The pool is lovely, changing rooms are a poor standard, so go beach ready. Unfortunately, we experienced unsupervised teens during our visit. Which was unpleasant for all pool visitors, it would be nice to see the pool area regularly checked by staff to avoid these issues. Staff at reception are always.plwasant and helpful. Parking is difficult to obtain. However there is road side, though we lost a wing mirror last year. So on site.would be beneficial. Overall great location, comfortable improving decor. Restaurants service lacking.

We came to Bournemouth for a family day out and came to this beautiful hotel for lunch. We were sat outside and the young lady that waited on us couldn’t have done enough. We had amazing sandwiches that we all raved about....proper door stops! Good value for money. Would definitely recommend, we would love to come back.

We had a top floor corner penthouse room very spacious with excellent views, unfortunately the furniture was a little tired and there was no heating or air con. Although several staff members were being trained they were all very friendly and helpful, we could not fault any of the staff. We liked the ability to use the facilities of the two adjacent hotels and the entertainment in the evening. Would we go back to this hotel? Yes definitely.

I really like the location and my wife and I will one day return, but next time with a contraption that prevents toilet odours . I don't know why or how modern hotels get away with ineffective fans , I think it is because the foul air is not removed, just recirculated. Otherwise we had a perfect paddle boarding stay and staff were good

Don’t want to waste time writing this review as the place was so pants: - Our ‘family room’ was situated next door to a room with a dog in (=not much sleep) - Our ‘family room’ backed onto an incredibly busy road (=not much sleep) - No aircon (=not much sleep) - ‘Family room’ which can only be accessed by walking down 8 steps...with a buggy. Great idea!! 🤦🏼‍♂️ - ‘Family room’ with NO window restrictors, on the 2nd floor. If you value you kids lives, don’t book a family room at this hotel!! - Paid for parking for 3 days (rip off!). Nipped out for 10 mins, got back and no spaces. Then told to try sister hotel car parks, they were all full too. Then told to park out on the road (horrendously expensive) and they would refund the nights that I could park in the car park. Don’t sell more parking than you have!!!! - My wife is coeliac and my daughter is dairy free. What was on the breakfast menu wasn’t available (gluten free cereal), no dairy free milk available. Trainee waiter so being fair to him, but he was certainly given a baptism of fire...clearly without any training. - Supposed to be 25 people per breakfast sitting, we counted 55...which was clearly why breakfast was such a painful experience (table service only, with 3 table staff!). - Tried to book a table with bar staff, so rude we didn’t bother. - Went to use the outdoor pool at their sister hotel ‘The Cumberland’ next door which clearly states ‘no glass’ - yet they were serving drinks around the pool in glasses. I picked a large piece of broken glass of the floor. - No offer to take bags to room. - Good luck trying to fit a buggy and a travel cot in a family room...barely enough room to swing a cat. So all in all, terrible hotel. I would certainly not recommend to anyone with a family. This said, the reception staff were friendly.
