Ideal location for the beach. Either a short (but steep) walk or the lift is virtually outside the hotel. Also close to other amenities. The room was large and comfortable. Furnishings and the bathroom were a little tired and dated in places. Brassiere Blanc serves a nice breakfast menu, served to your table, as well as dinner and drinks. Everyone seems to moan about the car park. I think the hotel are quite up front about the limited space. I was lucky and found one on arrival but others did not - proceeding to hold up the check in process for everyone whilst they complained. I suggest to research alternatives nearby before booking/travelling, especially if you’re going to be using the car during your stay. It was a shame that the outdoor pool was not open and that other outdoor areas of the hotel were not so well maintained/utilised. The hotel is quite spread out, with lots of steps. Not an issue for me but might be for some. Overall, a really nice stay.

I think 1 star would be too harsh as the room had spectacular view's, location was easily 5 star's, private garden as we had cottages, the hotel itself no complaint but it was the service and staff that you wouldn't expect for a 4 star and the price tag of £500 for 1 night you expected to he treated with a little more respet than shown, my mum is a disabled lady and required disabled parking, so was told to call thr Hotel porter which I did, 3 times but no answer, we turned up and no parking was available not even normal parking and Arun at the help desk didn't want to help I asked him for parking he said "oh you'll find some" and I asked if we could be shown to our room as we was expecting to stay at the hotel itself hut it ended up being a seperate cottage away from the hotel and he said "oh you'll find it" why did this Arun think I could find everything did I have private detective written on my head or something, was just fogged off, upon trying to find more parking I was frustrated looking for a spot in the heat and asked another front desk staff who was off on break but was still willing to help but he removed a cone and said "well just try this for now" and made me park in another person's disabled spot that had a reserve sign on there already🤦‍♂️we managed to find a gentleman guest who was leaving an luckily gave us his spot, The second complaint was the breakfast, table service no buffet which is fine I understand its covid but it took 40 minutes for the breakfast to arrive 🤷‍♂️ 40 minutes and we were getting very agitated as we asked for an outside table but we're refused but other people were allowed to go straight out. The breakfast came and was cold, we asked for expresso for which the waitress looked at us and said its extra and you have to pay for these like we couldn't afford them, the cottage room had cobwebs with dead spider's hanging above our head, the beds were extremely noisy as the springs seemed dead, couldn't turn in bed without waking up my 1 year old, huge amounts of dust on the wardrobe sliders enough to dirty our clothes, pretty shocking all in all for a Marriott Hotel, The price we paid was not worth the experience, There seemed to be an unwritten rule where they preferred helping arrogant snobs breaking covid rules in expensive cars

I wanted to mention the improvements as having been there 10 times in the last 10 years the hotel had lost some of its appeal. It still needs refurbishment but the staff was excellent, especially the reception staff when I checked in (Tuesday Morning 1st June 2021). They were very especially helpful despite it being a really busy day for them (Bank Holiday week). All the staff seem to be doing a grand job, they just need help from senior management to bring the hotel back to being the star it used to be.

The hotel is a ten minutes walk to the beach. We arrived at 1:30pm and surprisingly our rooms were ready (check-in is at 3pm). The rooms are quite small but have all the modern amenities. Like everywhere else in the hotel, the rooms need a bit of TLC. Parking on site is very limited but we managed to find one.

We stayed this week at the hotel for the first time and I must admit that after reading previous reviews I was unsure what to expect. I need not of worried, our stay was excellent! The room was wonderful, the staff were so polite and attentive. We will definitely be returning. Parking can be tricky but I was aware of this prior to arriving so downloaded a couple of parking apps and parked nearby.
