I stayed here with a large group of friends where do I start most of the staff were polite and friendly some were just plain rude the hotel from the outside looks like an hostel once inside it only got worse although my double room was warm it was also very dirty I spoke to reception who informed me that the hotel was fully booked and I could not be moved and that the room would only be serviced on Monday when we check out the food was just awful even if you managed to get in the restaurant at 7-30 for breakfast it was still cold and dinner was no better I had the soup one night which was lukewarm and the bread was all frozen dirty cups and cutlery also the lobby toilet was very dirty one of our friends went and bought some bleach so the toilets could be cleaned all the bed linen is stored in the car park inside an open lean too so open to the elements apart from a plastic roof the best part about the weekend was the entertainment supplied by BCM events overall this hotel is not nice at all we certainly won’t be going back there and most of the people we spoke to said the same I have attached pictures to this review also the hotel has not got a refund policy so be careful and consider your options this is an honest review although we only paid £190 each for half board I can honestly say I have had better and cleaner facilities when we’ve been camping if this hotel can’t get the basics right you have no chance .

My wife and I had to visit Bournemouth for some rather grand sounding personal business which was far more boring than it sounds. We booked the Carrington as it was only sixty-one quid for the both of us for two nights on a room only basis. Cheap, what could possibly be the catch? We arrived, after what could only be described as a 'joyless' six hour drive across the length of the country, at just before eight in the evening. Our first impression was that the Carrington was a large hotel that looked someone tired and dated but appeared clean. We went to our room that was, like the rest of the hotel, large and clean, if a little tired. Then we went to get some food as neither of us had properly eaten all day. The downstairs had a strange smell of school dinners so we assumed that would be easy enough. At reception we were told the restaurant had shut at eight and the staff were having their Christmas party. It was 7th January so I can only assume they are all Orthodox Christians. It might also explain why the Christmas decorations were still up. The very polite and helpful lady at reception suggested we ordered something online. We decided to take her advice. I went on Just Eat whilst my wife ordered some drinks from the bar, we found a table from which we could see reception and the entrance so when my pizza arrived I would immediately know. All good so far. We sat quietly at our table not saying much as we recovered from our journey, we were also tired and hungry. At this point, a couple at the next table tried to engage us in conversation. My wife politely gave a few answers. I was involved in a text conversation with a woman about making a birthday cake for my daughter who will be twenty next birthday. The couple were swingers and propositioned us as apparently the Carrington is the place for it to happen. We're both in our fifties and were in NO WAY signalling our availability. I pride myself on my unfriendliness at times and was sending out my dark aura as strongly as I could. If nothing else, I wasn't prepared to share my pizza and garlic bread. Neither of us are particularly attractive, and I don't say that out of false modesty, but the propositioning couple were trolls. She could charitably described as big boned, he was mostly stomach and bald head and dodgy beard. At this point our pizza arrived but because of COVID the delivery driver wouldn't come in, which is fair enough, so I went outside to collect the pizza. My wife, who by now had the most startled look I have ever seen on her face in the thirty years we've been together, scooped up our stuff and ran after me leaving our new friends behind. We spent the rest of the evening expecting a knock on the door which thankfully never happened. Instead we watched the new series of Death in Paradise. For reference, the pizza was okay, a little bready though but the takeaway threw in two extra bags of chips so overall a good deal for £24.99.

Tired , dated grubby rooms miserable staff that really didn’t want to be there topped off with boxing event causing issues with parking & loads of late night noise Beds were rock hard & the bedroom was unbearably hot & couldn’t leave the window open due to the noise To top it off being propositioned by a staff member in exchange for a free drink not my idea of fun or professionalism and the bar staff served several already drunk customers

it’s like a crack house combined with a knocking shop. Bing bang all night you don’t sleep a wink. And sex parties so many people in one room after it had finished you could hear a round of applause. Had to leave at 3AM to drive home as had woke every 30 mins or soo no end in sight! Shock no refund policy
