I ve been there this weeeknd. Yes, was cheaper, however the state of the room was disgusting. The smell of smoke was unbearable! Very poor cleaning services. I can understand if the furniture is old but a clean room?? Everything was dusty and rusty even the windows were full of pigeon poo. Covid is not an excuse to have a clean hotel, whatever price you are paying, in fact this service should be more strict! The staff wasn't very friendly as well as we told them that we need someone to clean the room and apart from an open window we got nothing:)) This is not a 3stars hotel at all! The only good thing about it is that is closer to the sea side!

Absolute sithole, don't go there, we went as a gift on buy a gift, out of the choices u get was the roundhouse hotel, on the website looked OK, I upgraded & paid for two days breakfast on top, so paid a total of £111 on top of the voucher price, also u get there u have to pay for parking on top, we went to our room which was a standard double room, the door had dents in it, carpets had holes all over the place, paper peeling of the walls broken window lock wouldn't open, no hand-wash or soap shower curtain dirty & hanging off bed was two half beds pushed together with a mattress thrown on top, so went went back to reception to complain & the girl on the desk didn't seem surprised, spoke to another person who said we were in executive room, what a joke wasn't fit for ur dog, we got are parking money refunded & will have to try & get rest of money back thru experira group who do the buy a gift vouchers.

Booked to stay here for a 3 night break away as a couple. Had booked as a cheap break to use hotel mainly as a base to sleep as planned to be out in the day. Appreciate it was cheap so didn’t expect a lot but it really was poor. The room was extremely hot. The bathroom was so hot all through the night and day so much so it was almost too hot to walk bare foot on the tiles in the bathroom. There must have been underfloor heating right under the tiles. The window didn’t have a chain or lock to have the window open a few inches, it was either wide open or shut. Being the 4th floor (the car park is directly underneath) and as the building is a circle we were in the inside ring so all other rooms looking onto each other and anyone could have walked out of the fire escape door or another rooms window and then gone into another room if their window was wide open (hence we didn’t have ours open in the night) as your window is straight onto the car parks roof I was given a desk top fan when I asked if they had a fan which didn’t make a lot of difference but at least allowed some air directly on us. The hotel is very dated and could do with an update. Questionable marks on the carpet and spring sticking out of the mattress (see photo). I certainly would not return and would recommend anyone considering going here to spend a little bit more and go somewhere else as a base. Checkout time was 10am; at 945am the door was knocked and the cleaner was rude when she said oh your not ready yet, check out is at 10am!! She said this in a very rude and patronising way. I was fully aware of the time and just getting last couple of bits into bag to leave and was out before 10am regardless. The positive note; the hotel was quieter then I expected being by the town centre

Dirty is the best way to describe this hotel. It was fine if you didn't look to close at anything but honestly filthy is the only word I can think of. However the shower was great and to be fair all the linen and towels were clean. It was the actual room that was dirty. Just dirty!

So much potential in this hotel. The location is great and there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the building. BUT The rooms need gutting and re-decorating, including soundproofing. The common areas also need modernising and perhaps some sexy exterior cladding. The most fundamental change needed is in basic management. Cost cutting is evident everywhere, from broken bathroom fixings to defective WiFi. There is a total lack of pride in this hotel: soap not provided in rooms...you have to complain at reception; only 2 towels provided for a double room; carpark barrier broken and not repaired (making a mockery of the parking charge) and most worrying of all : almost every security lock on 4th, 5th and 6th floor rooms is broken making it possible to fall to ones death. I'll pretend I believe that COVID may be responsible for rooms not being serviced daily, or for breakfast being advertised but not available, but clearly most customers don't believe that. If the management read this, please give this hotel the DIY SOS it needs, up your prices and maintain your rooms. This could be a great little hotel.
