This was my third stay at the Park Central, with my husband and mother-in-law. There were many pluses and just a couple of minuses (mainly due to Covid limitations, I would guess) to this stay. Rooms: Both rooms were really comfortable, with all the promised extras of a signature room – safe, fridge, robes, coffee maker and wonderful sea views. My mother-in-law had a fantastic room with a four-poster bed and two televisions – one of which was enormous. Our room, while of adequate size, was quite a bit smaller, and a little disappointing compared to hers, and to the signature rooms we’ve had at this hotel in the past. Housekeeping: Due to Covid measures, we were given the choice of having our rooms serviced daily or not and we chose daily servicing. The sheets and towels were changed regularly and the bathroom was kept clean, but the carpet only appeared to have been vacuumed once in the eight days we were there. Breakfast: Breakfasts were well cooked and served promptly and courteously. There was less choice than there used to be, especially on the cold buffet. We would have liked some fresh fruit, in addition to the two varieties of tinned fruit on offer. Dinner: We dined at The Crab on my husband’s birthday. The food was excellent and the service courteous. My mother-in-law and I had been looking forward to having the crab, having had it on our last visit, and we were not disappointed – delicious! The meal was a little pricey but worth it for a special dining experience on a special occasion. General: The reception staff were friendly and helpful and we were made to feel welcome. I appreciate the difficulties and restrictions the hotel must still be experiencing with regard to the Covid situation and, as stated earlier, I’m sure most of the “minuses” I’ve mentioned were due to that. Overall the hotel is still excellent and we look forward to coming again in the future.…
This hotel is has a good location and an excellent adjoining restaurant. Whilst the room, no. 206, was comfortable the furniture is a little dated and the bathroom sink is too small for washing etc. The reception staff were very helpful and were able to arrange a dozen red roses and a bottle of champagne for myself and my wife to celebrate our 'Golden Wedding' anniversary. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Stayed at this Hotel for two nights recently on B&B basis. Glad to report accommodation, breakfast and dinners - supplied by Crab Restaurant below were all of a very high standard indeed. Staff could not have been kinder. attentive and eager to please. Notable in this respect were Mara on reception, new housekeeping manager Lousiseyana, Mohammed in the restauannt and General Manager Shaddab, who was unfailingly cheerful and polite throughout in despite of quite difficult circumstances. In summary, I had an excellent stay, highly recommend it to others and look forward to returning to this hotel in the very near future.
After impromtu visit to Bournemouth we decided to stay at our favourite hotel, we hadnt booked but luckily they had a twin room spare, clean tidy and helpful as ever, this is such a great location for all attractions and we even had great weather to boot. Only real gripe is the beds seemed a little softer than last time which im sure some will like, maybe just worn
We stayed for seven nights in July and had a lovely large double room overlooking the pier. The room was spacious with a separate seating area looking out to the sea. I think the room and adjoining bathroom had been recently refurbished and re decorated with neutral colours. It was very clean and fine for our needs. The daily breakfasts taken in the Crab restaurant were also very good and everywhere felt covid secure.I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
