1. First thing I noticed when we arrived at our rooms were the humungus amount of rubble. It's off-putting and an eye-sore. 2. The pool is a danger especially to small children as it has no fence around it or net. It could do with a resurfacing as it's not inviting at all. 3. The jungle gym for the kids should have a fence next to the road as the grass/dune sections has slopes of 1-2 meter drops and can be very dangerous to kids, especially small kids and it's next to the road where cars drive. 4. The waitresses aren't fully trained and didn't really know what was going on with the restaurant's menu. They couldn't answer questions we had. 5. We find them with false advertising or they just don't update their website-i.e Friday night's 2 pizza's for R120 including a drink. Our pizza's were R140 without a drink. 6. Our bathroom had a mouldy smell as the window could not open. Our shower head was broken and wasn't working properly. 7. We were cold throughout the night as there weren't extra blankets in the cupboard. We only had the duvet that was on the bed. 8. The tea bags in the rooms should be placed in sealed packaging or containers and should be marked with the flavour, lying open like that is not good as it collects dust and could be a health issue. We found one tea bag was peach and one rooibos.

There was a wedding function over the weekend so a lot of strangers were there about 200 guests so they said, and we were asked not to use all the facilities which were made available to those guests during the day, facilities like the swimming pool for example. When we finally got the chance to enjoy the swimming pool at night with no sun light in the freezing cold water, the owner called the security company to come and chase us away, we refused to leave because we were guests at the lodge but the Owner refused to come and speak to us and instead asked the securities to handle the matter. Myself and different guests around the pool at that time insisted that the owner himself should come and resolve this issue, so finally the owner decided to come and told us that he recently purchased half of the rooms including the pool and only wanted to grant access to pool to the rooms that he purchased, which was not stated to us when we applied for their accommodation.

We have been to this venue on a number of occasions but due to lack of service and rooms not having been cleaned properly, we stayed away for quite awhile. This time when booking we specifically requested a spotless room, cleaned out fridge, and quietness. And we got it. Our room this time was definitely 100 % better in more ways than one. Thank you. Out only disappointment is that if you get there on Sunday, kitchen and bar facilities are closed from about 3. We missed Sasha this time but know that she is now running free in heaven
