This guest house is a home away from home! It has everything that you need such as a kitchen with a stove and refrigerator including pots, pans, and utensils, washer and dryer, a living room and a dining area. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. It can accommodate at least 6-7 people comfortably. The decor and the furniture are modern. The guest house was very clean and well maintained. There were a few issues with the wi-fi connection. The connection was kind of slow and it stopped working a couple of times, but the owner made sure to try to resolve the issues as soon as he could.

However, the guest house is about one hour or an hour and a half drive from Johannesburg/ OR Tambo airport. It is close to attractions like the Lion Park, Cradle of Humankind, Apartheid Museum, Nelson Mandela house, and the Elephant and Monkey Sanctuary. There are also malls, grocery stores, and restaurants nearby. The area surrounding the guest house is very safe and is in a good neighborhood.

The guest house staff and the owners are very nice and helpful! They were available when we needed them and were willing to answer questions and help us out! Overall, I would recommend the guest house as your choice of stay for your trip to Johannesburg, South Africa!

Hello Tymiece Thank you for your review and time taken. I think I have the Wi-Fi sorted out now as we implimented a 4G mobile unit instead of a very unreliable Adsl (national provider fixed line) with which we had endless problems. Hopefully, the next time you visit, the speed Will and continuity will be to your liking. Regards LEON

I concur with what Tracy R said, particularly the view of the mountains and the distant lights of Pretoria. Appreciated the owner providing us with the ability to come and go as we chose without asking he nor his wife to give access to a very secure property.

I was concerned about the black poodle with purple ribbons in his hair (maybe a "she") but he (she) was not welcoming at all, and tad frightening to children of some guests who wanted to check out our very wonderful accommodation.

Love to return and hope that the poodle has forgotten me.

Hello Trevor We trust you and Tracy are well. We recently added Tripadvisor to our website and then realised we never responded to your favorable review. We thank you for your time taken to write a review of our facilities. We do value our clients views and work towards improving our service and total offering. Unfortunately I don't have an answer for our Lady. I am sure next time you visit she will remember you and bark because of excitement. We look forward to accommodating you a next time. Kind regards Leon and Joana

This bed and breakfast boasts a well set up apartment, ours with three bedrooms, a pleasant and helpful couple as hosts and a great place from which to explore the Cradle of Humankind, (the Rhino and Lion Park), Krugersdorp and other local attractions. Being in a suburb on a hill, there is a lovely view towards the Magaliesberg Mountains and beyond to Pretoria. Staying here made us feel relaxed, secure and well looked after.

Upmarket, spacious, well equipped, safe are some of the things we can mention.
We were a family of 2 Adults and 3 children. We even extended to a fourth night because we were very comfortable. Bokkie was very friendly and professional and I had the privelege of meeting the owner Leon too.

A safe spacious apartment. Fully equipped kitchen for your self catering needs.
I warm and welcoming home to go to when you on a business trip. All rooms was fitted with heaters and electric blankets which kept the cold at bay. Large rooms with each room having its own bathroom. A very friendly house helper that made sure of your comfortable stay. Apartment came with free WIFI and DSTV. This place as the feel of HOME. I will certainly make use of this place again. This place is big enough for a family vacation. They have 2 and 3 bedroom apartments available.

The apartment was spacious, very clean, and tastefully decorated. The beds are firm and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. The owners were very friendly and it was a joy to get to know them. The apartment has a separate entrance, and is located in a very safe neighborhood. All in all, this is a home away from home. I would definitely recommend Magaliqua Guest House to anyone. And I plan to stay here again in the future!

My wife and I have been staying at this property for several years. It has never disappointed. We stayed three nights recently and everything was immaculate. It’s up above and beyond “comfortable.” The staff his very attentive to any want or need. The owners are friendly and have done an exceptional job with the place. We will be back again and again.
