I booked and paid at the Town Lodge in Bellville and 3 days later received a call to inform me that the Town lodge is closed. Nice finding that out after the fact. Had I known I would not have booked them at all. I needed to be in the Northern Suburbs for business and the alternatives the City Lodge Group gave me was either of the City Lodges at Grand West or Cape Town or the Road Lodge at the N1 Mall. I opted for the road lodge since it was closer to where I needed to be for business. Not a great hotel for the amount of money they took from me. It certainly deserves the 1Star rating it has. Staff is only doing the bare minimum with no additional info provided in check-in. Rooms are tired and needs maintenance. Furniture with marks etc. Linen so old that you can see straight through it. Hot breakfast was terrible to the point that I sent it back on the first morning and opted out for the second morning. Very disappointed with City Lodge Hotels in this instance. Stayed in Port Elizabeth the week before and it was the complete opposite experience.…
Good for one person but can give more like shampoo etc, coffee and tea in rooms and vending machines that are stocked and working and maybe basic room service for midnite snackers or alike. Thank you very much
Clean rooms. Very friendly staff, great for quick stay over if you are just looking for a place to sleep. Not recommended for holiday or long stays. Easy access to shops and N1 highway. No dinner, only breakfast served.
After birthday shopping we were extremely hungry and this was the perfect spot to choose. With a low budget after shopping the price was perfect, but to my surprise the food was nice and the service excellent. The food court provides an array of different restaurants in the area and I would most definitely recommend this restaurant for good food, nice service and clean restaurant
My Company booked me in at RL N1 for the evening of 25 March 2019. After a long hard day, all I wanted was an easy check-in and a neat clean room to sleep in. Ronell, the receptionist, is clearly an asset to this Lodge. She was friendly, understanding and smiling, all of this during the late evening. Breakfast had enough variety and the coffee machine easy to use. Lots of parking and safe. Right on the N1. Desk in room to work from with free wi-fi.
