This is a nice spot, overlooking the inlet near Ucluelet, BC. It is a beautiful yard, and the only real downfall is that the rooms and the common area need to be updated. The rooms are very clean and the place is well kept. Our Hostess was very informative and in fact a bit overbearing. Breakfast included a healthy serving of fresh fruit with homemade cinnamon buns and muffins. We felt that the price for this place was a bit high but that may be the norm near Ucluelet. And, there is no TV nor Wi-Fi.

This August we visited Ucluelet during a time when there were only a few rooms left in the entire town. Our friends were travelling from Victoria and needed us to make a reservation ahead of their arrival that afternoon. I phoned the B&B and was quickly told to phone back because someone was at their door and she didn't want to remain on the line to take our reservation and Avion ($25,000 limit) VISA card. I phoned back in 15 minutes and tried to make a reservation for our friends with the card over the phone. I told the proprietor that I would be coming into the office with my friends when they arrived in a few hours and would sign whatever forms were needed. Her attitude was one of suspicion; basically calling me a fraud. She said that the room would be rented within the hour and that she was not going to be part of this "fraud". She then hung up leaving me in disbelief that I could not use my VISA card over the phone even though I would be coming into the B & B shortly with my friends and would be able to provide the card and numerous pieces of ID with my photo. If this is her attitude toward taking over-the-phone VISA card payments then we were happy to not be staying there. This is not the positive, tourist oriented town I was lead to believe Ucluelet to be. Shame on her. I would not recommend this B&B to anyone with this type of paranoid attitude toward paying visitors.

A lot of what makes this a nice place is the owner, Petra. She goes out of her way to make sure you enjoy your stay. We arrived without reservations (during the summer months, it can be nearly impossible to find accommodations in Ucluelet or Tofino) thinking we would drive back if we didn't find any (that's a long drive) but we were pleased to find this quaint little B&B. Plusses and minuses: Plus: (and a big one) Petra. She will not only prepare a great breakfast but she's a virtual tour guide for the area. Plus: Beautiful setting. The area around the B&B is rural - feels private and has a waterfront view. Plus: Hot tub (even tho we didn't use it.) Plus: Ample parking Plus: It's CLEAN. -- Minus: No WiFi or TV (for some, this may be a plus) Minus: Dampness. Our sheets were damp and the room was damp in general. No sign of mildew or bad smells however. Overall, I would recommend this B&B.

This is a very good B&B and I would have no hesitation staying here again. Just for info; its too far to walk back into ucluelet. Petra is very warm and welcoming. The hot tub is great to relax in. The bedroom and en suite are very nice. The breakfast was spot on and the views of the inlet from the room and patio are stunning. I would definitely recommend. Thanks Petra

My wife and I stayed one night at this b & b, but as the regular rooms were full, we were in the vacation suite. This consists of a large patio with a big gas barbeque, a sitting room with a kitchenette, a bedroom and a connected bathroom. There is another bedroom on the other side of the bathroom, which we didn't use. Our impressions were generally very positive: The good: Comfortable bed Well equipped kitchenette, with a cooktop, small fridge and a microwave Robes Quiet location on the inlet, with a nice path down to the water Although there is no breakfast with this unit, the owner brought us muffins anyway. Nice hot tub. The slightly not as good: The couch in the sitting room was a rather uncomfortable futon. No shampoo or anything in the bathroom but soap No clock in the bedroom No separate towels for the hot tub. The good certainly outweighed the bad, and we would definitely recommend the vacation suite, particularly for families or groups travelling together.

We stayed two nights in the blue room, with large window facing the view of Ucluelet Inlet. Petra provides a perfect breakfast, with fresh rolls and muffins, yogurt, and lots of fresh fruit. Excellent coffee! Location is great, although not on the ocean side (for which you would be charged much, much more in Ucluelet or anywhere else around the world!). Two things to mention: the blue room has a frosted glass, French-style door with curtains, into the common dining room/kitchen. "Honeymooning" couples would want more privacy. Also: the bed in our room was softer than we prefer but probably comfortable for most. Overall, this is a great find for couples or small families who want a less-expensive option than the very high end accommodations elsewhere in the area. The two-room suite is worth looking into if you're going to stay more than a night or two. Petra is a great resource for local restaurant and trail info also. Enjoyed talking to the other guests, etc.!

My wife and I and two friends shared On the Inlet's two-bedroom vacation suite for three nights. The view is grand, being at the foot of Ucluelet Inlet. The peace and tranquility among all the flora and fauna made the experience very restful after spending the days visiting Tofino, Ucluelet and the Pacific Rim Provincial Park. Our gracious hostess, Petra, prepped us for our three-day adventure, made sure the place was always clean, and even brought us muffins in the morning even though the vacation suite did not include breakfast. Sharing the bathroom (between the two bedrooms) was challenging but workable. We were blessed with great weather and enjoyed our meals out on the deck. Being three miles from Ucluelet meant using the car since there was no bus service. This was our third visit to the west coast of Vancouver Island, and we believe Ucluelet is the only place to stay, recognizing Tofino to be too "touristy". The 2.7 kilometer circular trail in Ucluelet is one not to miss, and the town's natural acquarium is just about the best anywhere.

We stayed in the front room for our stay. It was our first time staying at a B&B and really enjoyed it. The room was spotless, with a amazing bed and thick fresh linen. The hottub was a great way to end the night with views of the ocean. The breakfast was a fresh and tasty way to end our stay. The muffins are amazing!

The property was scenic and peaceful. We saw wild deer and Blue Herons from the hot tub. It was a great place to unwind after a day at the beach!
