Stayed here for 3 nights in July and loved it. May not be for everyone - lodges are a little rustic and have no TV or wi-fi but that was part of the formula for relaxation in our opinion. Comfort was good and the real...More
As I've been over from the UK, my friend treated me to a couple of nights in this idyllic location, she has been here many times. It is exactly as I had expected, rustic lodge with breathtaking scenery. It was so refreshing to be without...More

Thank you for leaving such a lovely review of your visit with us! We appreciate your patronage especially when travelling from so far away. We can't wait to host you again the next time you're travelling throughout the Canadian Rockies!
Awestruck by the color and clarity of the water.
Canadian clean, the natural world is so revered and protected there it brought tears to my eyes.
Be sure to walk the path around the lake and take in all the views.
The lodge is quaint,...More
Incredibly overpriced 3 star accommodation.
They exploit the location and over charge for average food, tired rooms and poor cleaning.
Don't be fooled by the pictures the cabins are not on the edge of the lake, you are in a shared building with shared walls...More
This place was absolutely amazing. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful views and fresh crisp air. We loved just walking around and enjoying the grounds. The hike around the lake was a nice 5km walk, and I also really enjoyed canoeing on the...More

One must remember location-cell service even in the best hotels in mountainous area can be sketchy as well as internet. Not a hill to die on. If you like a bit rustic - but with great dining and scenery this is your ticket.Hiking in summer - Winter x-country ski trails and snow shoe this is where you want to be. In summer months mice and the likes are unfortunately the norm-look where you are.... not any the city anymore. If you think about back country Skoki Lodge-Sol Mountain - Napika these are similar for sure. If you do anything wilderness there is a fine balance of give and take. I would not stay in summer months simply due to high tourist volumes. That is no fun. Not good drinking water-no issue -used to this with our hiking and back country ski trips into some area's. We always bring our own water supply or water filters and are prepared. Think about your 5 star hotel in Mexico-would not drink the water there either. This is still a great place to stay and relax.
