Travellers' Choice
The Woodview Villa (Inn) was a private dwelling until April 1946 when it was taken over by the partnership of Daniel P. Delaney and William F. Koepke who began running it as an Inn. Subsequently, Mr. Delaney and his wife took full ownership and added the Garden Suites in the early 1950's. Shortly after, the Inn and Restaurant were given the name ' The Athlone Inn and Restaurant', which remained the name until closing in 2014. The Woodview is a 10 room Inn, which includes breakfast with every night stay. Today your hosts, John and Steve, give a nod to this grand lady's former history and glory by celebrating her original name. Welcome to The Woodview Inn.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at The Woodview Inn in one of the Garden suites. We absolutely enjoyed our visit and the owners, John and Steve are more than accommodating and helpful. At check in you are given a comprehensive overview of the property and a tour. The property is in a beautiful part of town and within walking distance of the town’s main street and waterfront. The suite was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delivered to the room in a lovely cooler which was filled with goodies. There is a dining room i the Inn called Graydon"s. The meal was fabulous and one of the best I have had. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back. I highly recommend the Woodview Inn.

John and Steve were both wonderful hosts. They took the time to welcome us, make sure we were happy with our room and offered some great suggestions on restaurants and activities to do in the area. Breakfast each morning was lovely and just what we needed to start the day. The Inn and grounds are gorgeous and a great location. We found it was about a 10 minute walk to any place we wanted to go in Ganonoque. Highly recommended!

We stayed overnight at the Woodview Inn on the eve of Canada Day. The accommodations were superb. We stayed on the top floor in a beautiful room. Dinner and picnic breakfast were excellent. All the staff made us feel very welcomed. We would definitely return for another night and for dinner. Everyone went the extra mile. The house and gardens always look beautiful.

It was our first trip away after covid started. Gananoque and the Woodview Inn was our first stop before we travelled on. Steve and John were very accommodating and did a great job of welcoming us. Because we weren't able to walk around inside of the main Inn, we couldn't tell how nice it was, but I'm sure it was very beautiful. They have done a great job of improvising for the service of breakfast. The continental breakfast delivered to our room inside of a cooler was great. Loved the included surprise! We enjoyed our breakfast in the garden where they have set up for outside dining. Our room was clean, but a bit on the small side. I would stay here again. Because of the size of the room, I honestly thought it was a bit overpriced.

Our brief stay at the Woodview Inn was a real treat especially after being cooped up for so long! Steve, John and their staff could not have done more to make our stay so enjoyable. No request was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable and spotless. Dinner was excellent...the seared cod was perfectly cooked!
