Very nice renovated room. Grounds were well kept and the owner and staff were very nice and accommodating. They were very helpful with a special request we had. Very quiet area close to all amenities.
The old woman who answered the door behaved as if I were a bug under a glass, which I found very disconcerting. Very poor broken English, hard to understand, and had to repeatedly ask if they had a room available. She just stood there staring at me, sometimes looking away. ??? She then called her husband (?) over and he did the same thing. "Why you want room?" ??? "Umm...because I need a place to stay? Are you guys okay?" "How much you pay?" "Uhh....um....don't you have a set rate? How much do you charge for a room or suite?" "How many people?" "Just me." Then a blank stare for minutes. I looked over and the old woman was looking in the back window of my car. "Uh...what's going on here? This is a motel, right?" BLANK STARE. "Okay...if you don't want to let out a room just say so." BLANK STARE. "Okay. I'll give my money to someone else. Have a nice day." I drive forward to turn around, and he's blocking the exit by standing a third of the way in. I wait, but he won't move. WEIRDOS!…
Great stay on a cold rainy night. Lovely modern and clean rooms. Very quiet. Off the beaten path so plan ahead. Well appointed too . Very pleasant staff. We are happy to discover this motel as we pass through often
I was coming in late and needed sleep. I was nervous about picking a place but say the reviews and they are spot on. It’s very clean and quiet. I stay in a lot of hotels and was very impressed with this motel. I would even stay here long term. Very comfortable room. Has all the basic amenities. Very friendly even checking in at midnight. If you are expecting high end fixtures you won’t find it. You will find clean NOT over worn bedding and furniture.
Sadly we booked an overnight here on our way back home to WA state. I booked over the phone as it was unclear from their website if they allowed dogs, it said they didn't, but when you call, they say they do. He said we had a room with one queen bed and quoted a price. When we arrived he gave us a different room, two beds, more expensive, no explanation. Room smelled of bug spray, air conditioner didn't work. Several young men wandering around, smoking pot, one of whom came in to our room saying he made a mistake thought it was his friend's home, yes home, people live there. It is not safe. As for the "free breakfast", when I questioned the owner about that, he simply shrugged, "no", even although the night before another hotel easily provide us with a delicious bagged breakfast. We quickly selected another hotel and left as we did not feel safe. We had a car with a trailer covered with a tarp which we felt would have been broken in to if we had stayed the night.…
