The front desk staff at the hotel was amazing. Check in was a breeze and our room was sufficient. I normally ask for a room away from the elevators but I did not this time as it was one night. Every time the elevator moved it made the loudest noise. It was like someone was pounding on our wall. I was expecting clean rooms due to COVID and found that the room was clean, but dusty like no one had used this room in a while. We brought some food and put it on the counter but ended up with tiny ants all over. Beds were comfortable, pillows not so much. The TV volume was set to 99 every time you turned it on. Maybe to drown out the elevator sounds? Overall the experience was good and I would recommend the hotel. I would ask for a different room and bring my own pillow!

Stayed as a platinum guest, was upgraded to a larger room. Hotel is next to a Sobeys and you can make your meals with a nice kitchenette and the hotel is 7 mins from the beach. The hotel has a pool and complimentary breakfast as well. Great stay in Kincardine which also allowed us to see Goderich and Sauble Beach

This place is crawling with vermin, including earwigs, silverfish and who knows what else. All over the towels, dishware, walls and ceiling. I uploaded photos. Also, a very rude and passive aggressive breakfast staff person further ruined our already upsetting experience. Stay anywhere else but here.

We had stayed here 3 years ago and decided to come and spend 3 nights as a getaway this summer Checkin: quick and efficient. Like all hotels during COVID we were told that no daily cleaning of the room would be done but that we could ask the front desk for anything we need and that we could put our full garbage pails in the hallway by our door and that it would be emptied. I saw someone put used towels by their door and a few hours later saw that they had been replaced with fresh ones. Room: the room was spacious and very clean. We had a decent size fridge, medium size, at least 10 cubic feet with a decent freezer, great for ice packs for going to the beach. There was a coffee maker in the room with the large round  flat coffee filter to make a pot. We didn’t use it as we could go downstairs at the breakfast (6:30-9:30) to get a cup. ( the buffet coffee was decent). There was also a microwave, a toaster in the room, plates, cutlery, a dishwasher, a good size sink with a. Cloth washcloth and paper towels to dry.  The bathroom had a large walk in shower. We were pleased with the size and the cleanliness. Pool:   At check in , when asking about signing up to use the pool the staff was disorganized. My wife wanted to swim at9 am the next morning. They said because of an inspection she could only sign up for noon at the earliest. She asked to sign as there was no paper. It felt like we were asking a lot to get him to print the sheet. My partner asked “ do you want me to out an X for 9-12? As he had not crossed it out.  The following day she went to go for a swim at noon and the door was locked. She went to the desk and they said it was now closed until Monday. It would have been nice to be notified. Service: excellent. We had issues with our tv remote ( it stopped working) the staff replaced the batteries and offered to come up to our room to make sure it worked. This  was well appreciated as the remote still didn’t work. He got us a new one and no more issues. Tv: generally really good with the odd black screen for a second or two. On our last night it was terrible, seeing pixel and black screen off and on for hours.  I guess they are using a satellite system that was having issues. Breakfast: enough food but not like 3 years ago. There was only a single toaster to toast bagels and English muffins for the first 2 mornings. On the Saturday we were pleased to see they had increased it to 3 toasters. Maybe the industrial one is not COVID safe but one toaster was not enough. There were hard boiled eggs, some days sausage too. Cereal, muffins, vanilla yogourt and oatmeal also available. As well as orange juice, coffee and tea.  On the Saturday there was scrambled eggs. Negative situation: on the day we were checking out we had an early breakfast and went for a quick last visit to the beach. When we came back to our room at 10:30 to finish packing and checkout our room was open and the maid was changing the bed! We were appalled! To add to this she said she wanted to stay in the room to continue to change the bed sheets while we finished packing. I had to tell her 3 times to leave the room before she finally left. I was infuriated. I told the front desk what had happened as I was checking out.  The staff agreed with me that no one should be in our room until we had checked out and that he would pass the info to the manager. He added that staff gets a list of who has checked out before entering the room and that this should have never happened. . This was an  unfortunate situation as it put a negative end to our lovely 3 days at TownePlace  Kincardine. I am assuming that this maid has been spoken to.

The people here were so nice. The room was new and clean. Loved that we had the kitchen and kitchen table. Even though you could make your own breakfast you could still pick up somethings complementary for breakfast.
