I booked a night away for my family, three adults, two children. Upon entering the unit we were met with a horrible smell. It turned out to be the fridge. Absolutely disgusting. We called housekeeping and they came to clean the fridge, which helped. In the evening when trying to have a bath, we had no hot water. The night manager kindly assisted us by giving us access to the unit next to us. This was lovely, but we booked our unit because it had 2 bathrooms, so it was still inconvenient for all of us having to share the one bathroom. Nobody could sleep during the night as there were at least three bats flying about, with feces and urine falling and dripping on us, and mice scuttling about, squeaking loudly. We ended up leaving at 4 am. I suspect this was a long unused unit (just judging by the smell of the fridge) and it has not been properly inspected before we checked in. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the staff did try and assist us with the fridge and the lack of hot water. It was a horrible experience.

We stayed 2 nights at this amazing resort. Breakfast is included and the portions are gigantic. Food is really good and fairly priced. The staff is very accomodating, but the only problem we have faced is the lack of Wi-Fi. How come in 2018 accomodations like this one don't offer Wi-Fi for it's guest? We are from abroad and we need to contact our families or plan our next destination. We had Wi-Fi in lodges lost in the mountains in Nepal, how come is it so difficult in SA?

Quiet and Relaxing place with excellent service!! The resturant served some nice breakfast. There were enough play areas for kids. The resort need 2 have a boat to complete the experience, so one can go on a cruise...

Had a one night stay with our caravan. Beautiful setting with a nice view of the Vaal River. Now here's the buts: Firstly it was very difficult finding the Estate, not just us but a guy on this motorbike as well. Both our GPS's took us into a farm field. He called the office and was told how to get there and relayed the info to us. The turnoff is indeed signposted but very poorly - poor choice of font and a very "busy" billboard. Secondly, the restaurant. Advertise on the internet as open 7am 'till late every day. On the door it said Open 7am - 7pm Monday to Thursday and 7am 'till late Fri/Sat/Sun. Imagine our surprise when we got there just before 7pm on a Sunday and told the restaurant was closing. The lady did offer to keep the staff back and we could have a pizza or a schnitzel. We declined and tried to find a manager but were told by the lady at reception that he had left already.

We enjoyed the stay. We stayed for two nights - camping! Beautiful with lots of trees and birds to watch. Bookings - easy, they even moved it after I was admitted to hospital with no extra costs! Took lovely photos.
