Nestled by the lake, Tahoe Beach and Ski Club offers a prime location that guests frequently applaud, with easy access to local shops and scenic amenities. The resort boasts a private beach and a variety of recreational options, which, along with its spacious rooms, leave many travelers impressed despite some noting the rooms can appear dated.
While the cleanliness of the resort generally earns high marks, opinions on service and value diverge, with experiences ranging from praise for attentiveness to disappointment over unresponsive staff and high costs.

Detailed Reviews
RCI would only let me book 7 days 6 nights. Resort charges a $100 cleaning fee if you don’t stay a full 7 night week. Felt like a scam on checkout. We had a 1 bedroom townhouse, located on the frontage of Lake Tahoe Blvd (Hwy 50). This 4 lane road is like a raceway and the unit does not have A/C so we had to keep the upstairs windows open, lots of traffic noise. Do to Covid, the on-site laundry facility was closed, however the pool was open. This didn’t make any sense to us. Nice beach area, plenty of chairs and picnic tables. All charcoal and fire pits were disabled due to the high fire risk. Gas grills were usable. The 1 bedroom has a partial kitchen, so my wife brought the instapot, which worked fine for the few meals we decided to eat in. Tahoe is an expensive area. We visited Virginia City NV and filled up the gas tank in Carson City for a $1.50/gal savings. There is a great bicycle path/trail across S. Lake Tahoe, just need to watch out for those Lime scooters zipping past unannounced. Our stay was okay, just make sure you know what you are getting into with this resort.

This is the second year we've exchanged into this resort and love it even though we haven't been able to take full advantage of the amenities due to Covid and forest fires in the area. However we remained both times because we love the location and the fact it has it's own section of private beach right on the south end in California, not Nevada. I admit that we have stayed in the deluxe rooms so they are more updated, have nice layouts, and great views (when the air is clear) so can't speak for the regular rooms. Our room had a nice kitchen setup, ample storage space and plenty of kitchen-ware. The King bed was VERY comfortable, and bathroom had plenty of lush towels, even a magnified makeup mirror for us older adults! :) The resort also bought new luggage carts and installed ice machines and vending machines on each floor. They also have a very impressive gym with nice shower/changing rooms. And there are 2 spas on the property as well. There are plenty of well kept beach chairs, picnic tables, BBQs and nice fire pits for evening socializing. They also do a full maid service in the middle of the week which is rare these days! The staff is friendly and maintenance is prompt when there's a problem. It is an older, small resort, compared to the big new and shiny large chain companies but we think it's great and will return!

Good location, on the lake, walking distance to Heavenly Village and a quick drive to Heavenly. I believe the rooms were updated since our last stay so that was nice. Resort management needs to do a quick check that everything in the room works properly and is secure before scheduling the room. Our exterior siding door didn't lock, the phone never worked and one of the TVs had a bad connection.

Worst Customer Service Ever!
I booked and paid for a reservation at Tahoe Beach and Ski Club through a partner group called Heroes Vacation Club back in February. The honeymooning couple went to check in on 6-12-20 and were told that outside (non-timeshare owner) reservations weren’t being honored for another week. Excuse me what?! I never received any notification that Tahoe Beach and Ski Club wouldn’t be honoring reservations. This is the absolute worst customer service experience ever! As a matter of fact, I called Tahoe Beach and Ski back in May and was told that guests were being accepted starting June 1, 2020. These two flew 1800 miles and drove for an hour only to be told they wouldn’t have a room for their honeymoon. The staff at Tahoe Beach and Ski were deplorable! With my daughter in law crying and wondering what they were going to do for the next seven nights, the staff at Tahoe Beach and Ski Club said it’s a directive from the property manager. I am honestly appalled at the deplorable customer service by the staff in my hometown. It’s a disgusting display of service from what is a SERVICE INDUSTRY! I will never again stay at this property!
The partner group that I booked through has reached out to me and want to make the situation right, and are offering reimbursement of the additional funds I was out as a result of booking with a different hotel. To them I offer thanks.

Please accept our sincere apologies surrounding the difficulties you encountered when booking through a third party Fire_Marshal581. As we mentioned when you attempted to check-in, we were not taking reservations at that time due to COVID-19 restrictions in South Lake Tahoe and the third party was in the wrong by offering you a reservation. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Our room was located in the center of everywhere we wanted to go. The California Lodge at Heavenly is less than a ten minutes drive and the gondola in Heavenly Village is less than ten minutes from the room. There are plenty of places in walking distance to get food and the resort has outdoor grills if you’re interested in grilling. THIS SPACE IS AWESOME.

We were so excited to stay here - great location, a nice balcony and from an initial phone call asking if we could get a lake view room and a nice lady offering to try her best to accommodate, we thought we made a good choice.
Once we got on the property, everything changed. The staff were extremely rude at check in and completely unhelpful.
We got to the room which was very hot. Turns out there is no air conditioning. When we called the front desk, they suggested there was a portable fan in the closet and when we informed them there wasn't, the response was "too bad, we must be out. Open the door". Given our room was on the main street (First floor, no view and a lot of car/foot traffic going past), it was too loud and no privacy to leave the sliding door open.
We asked for an extra hour to check out (12 instead of 11) and without even looking at our reservation, we got a rude "we can't do anything for you". I understand this is a luxury and not always possible, but the way they approached it was a turn off.
In terms of the room, it was okay. There is a kitchenette which is a nice to have. We booked a queen bed, but got a double. The shower drain barely drained.
For the price we were paying, it was a very disappointing experience. Go elsewhere!

Enjoyed the week leading up to July 4, having booked an extra vacation through RCI. We had a wonderful 1 BR condo with a well stocked full kitchen, large sitting area (With sofa bed ), dining table for 4, very comfortable King bed, 2 BA, one with Shower over Large jacuzzi tub, Two balconies= WONDERFUL space for two of us, suitable for a family of 4. Excellent location made it easy for us to bike and hike. Plenty of chairs on the beach, BBQ areas, gas fire pits near the beach and a small pool. All COVID precautions at the check in area, extra cleaning evident and face masks encouraged. Felt very safe and clean for our first trip away since the CA shelter in place order. We look forward to the opportunity to return. Highly recommended!!

Clean, big enough for 4 people. Partial Rooms had a electric portable stove and pan in the kitchen if you ask for one at the front desk. Great location. Walked 20 mins or so to the Stateline Village. 2 TVs always are nice with kids. Big 2 person jet tub in bathroom.

Tahoe Beach and Ski is perfectly located to take advantage of everything Tahoe.A time share property with a fierce leadership group that keeps it from being taken over by the corporate hoteliers keeping this gem as an affordable jewel for its owners and renters. And a nice private beach tops it all off. While it might not seem like much, this smaller resort boasts a wonderful beach with plenty of room to spread out. Heated pool and fire pits on the beach with a number of BBQ units that are available too. Located next to the Ski Run marina, you can take advantage of the many vacation activities next door, or eat at the many options next door. Whole Foods is across the street for those who just want to park their car for their stay and walk for anything they might need. In Winter it is just down the street from the world famous Heavenly Mountain resort. Nevada State line is a short 1.2 miles away and easily can be walked to for those looking to play the tables and machines at a number of big name casinos. Summertime concerts populate the calendar months, and the daily sunset on the beach is taken in by the TBSC visitors each night. A tennis/pickle ball court as well as two hot tubs are also on the grounds, as well as a workout facility with steam rooms. The resort has a number of different types of rooms including Studios, town house (bi-level with a spiral staircase up to the main loft and master bed, one bedroom units, one bedroom deluxe units (there are only 17 of these premier rooms with a full kitchen and these are not commonly available to non-owners). Two bedroom units with 3 bathrooms are also difficult to land for the rental visits, but off season times can open them up too.

Great location and wonderful amenities, we were looking very forward to a wonderful week here however our negatives began at check in front desk, staff was rude, unhelpful, and impolite, most of the buildings do not have electors, (this should be told at time of booking or well announced) not good when you have foot injury and they are “full” and can not move you, honestly who would ever think to ask if a place has elevators The units have no air conditioning, Another question you do not think to ask when booking just assume. We had horrible experience with cleanliness in our room. Honestly the list was long and we are very mellow people
We had our smoke alarm go off at 2 am and the kindest security guard came to remove it. Over all we could not tolerate the unacceptable accommodations and moved 2 days in to our week stay.

Hi there, unfortunately we do have a very strict no pet policy. If you have any other questions please let us know, thank you and have a wonderful day!
Great question! Early December is a good time as snow may be o the ground and our owners typically spend a week at Tahoe Beach and Ski Club. So one week is enough time.
There is WiFi throughout the property and I would advise to book early as the holiday season can be busy.
Reach out to us if you need further information.
