Good location within walking distance of the Heavenly Gondola and many restaurants and shops.
At check-in I was given a room in the building on the other side of the street, which is very dated (I don't know if the main building is in better shape); I was told to phone the front desk if I needed something. Upon arriving in my room, I realized that the wifi was not working. I picked up the room phone to call the front desk and realized that there was no dial tone. I called from my cell phone and was placed on hold; after 10 min I hung up and walked to the front desk, where they told me how busy they were, and that they were "upgrading" their phone lines, and that they had "just" found our that the wifi wasn't working. I asked to be moved to another room in the main building, where the wifi worked, but they refused because I had already entered the room. One of the front desk employees contacted the manager and, after a few minutes, told me that the wifi was up again. I walked back to my room and found out that it was still not working. It was eventually repaired the next day, but for the first 24 hours I had no wifi.
The room was small and dated, although the furniture appeared newer. Comfortable bed and pillows. Conveniently located power jacks. There was a coffee maker, but no fridge or microwave. The bathroom was also dated with a stained shower curtain, but fortunately everything was in working order.
Soundproofing is entirely lacking and the hallways are very noisy. Hardly any guests were wearing masks.
My room came with "breakfast included", however because of Covid they had a grab-and-go station (packaged muffins, yogurt, fruit) from 07:00 to 09:30. However, items are not replenished and by 09:00 there was hardly anything left.

Its August 4, 2020, Tuesday at 6:23 pm, the front desk receptionist who is an old caucasian lady wearing glasses named Sherry was rude to us. I accompanied my sister and mom in the office to complain because when we checked the room given to us, the curtain is damaged, people outside can see us and the room isn’t clean. We were asking for a different room. This lady told us that all the rooms are already sold out. She said either we take the room or we cancel it but they will still charge us a full night’s worth. We felt this is unfair when we haven’t even been in the room for 5 minutes. Sherry told me that I cannot be near the desk. I get it, social distancing, covid, however, the way she delivered it, her tone was rude as if she was telling a homeless person to back off. I am not a homeless person just standing there, I am a paying customer. She could have delivered the message respectfully but she said it in a rude manner and I felt embarrased in front of my family and other people in the office. We spoke with the manager. The manager was kind and considerate and immediately gave us a better room. Sherry told us all the rooms were sold out already and that there are no other rooms available. I wish she would be honest to me and my family, we are paying customers. Customer service means being honest and respectful towards the customers. The free WiFi is also not working. I tried it on my lenovo laptop, iPhone, my sister tried connecting on her dell laptop and on her iphone, but the WiFi is not working. It says “No internet, secured” on my laptop”. On my iphone it says “no internet”. In conclusion, the biggest part that made this review 2 stars is the extremely rude customer service we have received from the front desk receptionist named Sherry that worked on the front desk on August 4, 2020 Tuesday at 6:23pm. She has a rude attitude telling me that I cannot be there as if I was some random homeless person just wandering around and she is also dishonest telling us that all the rooms are sold out when the manager was able to transfer us to a proper room. Very disappointed with experience we had with Sherry.

Our room, though small, was clean and comfortable, with even a small balcony. We were in the building across the street, on the second floor, where they had an elevator. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The king bed was very comfortable and bathroom more than adequate. We appreciated the breakfast items they provided during this time, as some other hotels advertising breakfast were not giving anything.

Hotel's Favourite
This is the fifth year in a row that I've stayed here and have always had a great experience. I work at the ACC golf tournament and the location is awesome. The front desk help is always more than helpful and accommodating, the rooms are updated and always clean. Plus you can walk pretty much everywhere from their location.

This Rodeway Inn has been renovated including the rooms and is very clean. The rooms aren’t lavish but hopefully since you are in Tahoe, you are not staying in the room much! The bed is comfortable and the furniture modern and new. There is a small refrigerator in the room as well. The best thing about this hotel is the location. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach (fee for beach is included with hotel stay) in one direction and a 5 minute walk to South Lake Tahoe Avenue in the other direction where restaurants and shops are. The street the hotel is located on is really quiet. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

I booked 2 weeks ahead and asked for a chemical/fragrance free room. My wife can have severe reactions to chemical/fragrances. We were told that that would not be a problem and they have more and more requests for these rooms. I also called the day before and was assured that it would happen. We arrived and the room wasn't ready for check in (early) and were told to come back in an hour. We did that. We checked in and were given keys. I went to check the room before hauling up luggage and found that the room had not even been cleaned yet! And the smell (fragrance) was very strong. I went back to the desk and was told to "give them 10 minutes" and that they would clean the room with just water! After about 30 minutes I went up to check out the room and it hadn't been touched. We asked for a refund and left!! Sherry was very helpful and nice but that is the best I can say for our experience. I understand that places are understaffed etc. but this was not excuse. I don't suppose that I'll be using my Choice Hotels membership any longer.

We had originally booked the econo lodge but we were informed that they did not have aircon and we were offered a room at this hotel for only €30 more. We accepted this offer. The hotel room was clean and very spacious and had some good essentials like a fridge and iron etc. the breakfast wasn’t great but it was better than nothing. Overall it was a good stay.

A great location at a reasonable price. Our room, a queen bed on the ground floor, was comfortable. The bed was soft, the towels were fluffy, there was excellent lighting in both the bedroom and the bathroom. Both shower and toilet had good water pressure. The air conditioner was efficient and quiet. Hot breakfasts weren't available yet per COVID. The hotel has laundry facilities as well as an ice machine and soda machine. There is free parking but when the hotel is crowded, space is limited. It's a short walk to the beach and a nominal fee of $5 and a short walk to the casinos if that's your thing.

This is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Ammenities are non-existent, service was shocking, we had to ask twice for bedding, the room was tiny and cramped and the floor was covered in stains. The main light was broken, as was the toilet seat.
Housekeeping apparently every 3 days.
The “free breakfast” was a disaster.. hundreds of guests supposedly eating in a tiny room with a handful of tables. Walking in was like walking into a refugee camp. Packed like sardines, standing room only for a handful of basic breakfast offerings and no hot food.
If this was the last hotel with vacancy in Tahoe, I would keep driving.
Worst experience.

This place was a great value for the price. Great locatio .
It is in walking distance to Heavenly Valley Village as well as the Casino's in Nevada.
The room was clean and the king bed very comfortable. The lodge is divided in to two areas, across the street from one another. Just make sure when you check in get directions for the building across the street.
They have a free breakfast that include self made waffles and Pancakes. All was delicious.
