Detailed Reviews
Our duplex condo had breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe which we enjoyed from our private balcony. The condo itself was very comfortable, and featured a full kitchen, two nice bathrooms, woodturning stove, and television with cable. It was immaculately clean. I don't agree with the other reviews about updating. It's true that it doesn't look like it was built in 2022, but the furnishing and finishes were in great shape, and it was an incredible value. The location was unbeatable ... we could walk to most things including great restaurants, a Safeway, and a CVS. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. The service was really above and beyond. We had originally planned a one-night stay, but we arrived exhausted and one of our family had altitude sickness, so we asked to extend our stay to get a little more rest before moving on. Three staff members helped us with our request due to shift changes over our first night, and they were all friendly, understanding, and very supportive. We felt very welcomed. Highly recommend!

A friend and I stayed two weekend nights as part of a Heavenly ski trip. Price was great, especially given how expensive South Lake Tahoe gets on winter weekends. Convenient location to Heavenly's California Lodge. The property seemed well maintained and it was great to wake up to a view of the lake each morning. Glad the room had a minifridge and the year round hot tub made for some nice relaxing after several days skiing. Staff was very friendly.

This place was everything we hoped for and more! We went for our 5 year anniversary and they’d left us a card with a bottle of wine. Upon booking, we realized they also took away the amenity fee due to their pool not being heated as they were going through renovations. We travel a lot and never has a place willingly taken away the amenity fee to better serve its guests. We had a room with a balcony facing the lake and I enjoyed it every morning we were there. It was peaceful and beautiful to see the mountains and lake. We saw Stellar Jays in the morning. The gas fireplace heated the room perfectly so we were never cold. The staff were always friendly and there to answer our questions! The tv didn’t work but we didn’t go all the way to Tahoe to watch tv so it didn’t bother us at all! It’s in walking distance to the shops and breakfast is next door. We loved everything about our stay and after seeing the other hotels we were considering, we were always happy to see ours was better (especially for location).

The property looks and feels like a Motel 6 with great views of the lake. The property looks like it hasn't been updated for a while. Upon arrival I was unable to get any help bringing my bags to the room Expensive for the price.

Lake views from the room and the hot tub! Room was heated by a gas fireplace creating an efficient ambiance. The Lodge is older, but the Mountain decor is fun. It is clean and the staff are super friendly. Great location to the lake and only a short drive to the Village shops, Restaurants and Heavenly. I will stay here again.

Room was clean and comfortable, Staff was friendly and helpful. Beach locations was as close to perfect as possible. Only complaint was the cigarette and marijuana smokers in the rooms around us. Cigarette smokers below us every night with the smoke wafting into our room even with the door closed. Our last night we came home from dinner and when we opened the door to our room we thought it was on fire due to the smell. Took us a minute to realize it was MJ smoke from the people below us. Went on throughout the night and the next morning. Our kids are older and we were checking out in the morning so we put up with it. I told the staff when I checked out and they seemed very upset and said they would take care of it. This is more a problem with legalized weed and selfish entitled people than the hotel. People know they won't get into trouble now and don't care about the people around them. To the older couple. with peace and love stickers on your paddle board, who were smoking it, I hope somehow you read this review and just buy some edibles rather than make families smell your smoke.

Amid a global pandemic, we had to cancel our trip here. We were told that we would receive no refund although we had booked and cancelled our trip within 24 hours. Maybe we didn’t read the fine print very closely but this cane off a little greedy in these times.

A wonderful hotel with friendly staff, right on the shore of Lake Tahoe. All rooms face out on to the lake we woke each morning to breathtaking views of the mountains and lake. The pool and hot tub were a great bonus. Staff were helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. A particular treat was the concert on the beach on our last day that we could listen to from our balcony.

This is a great, lakefront property - which is hard to find without spending a fortune at Tahoe. Having lived in California for many years, it is a known fact that many of the hotels/motels/lodges have been in place at Tahoe for many years, making many of them rundown. However…the current owners of this property are doing a fantastic job of updating, maintaining and providing amenities for their guests. We booked a queen corner suite (315). The room was clean, recently updated and well appointed with a fully equipped kitchen and a nice sized balcony. To top it all off, we had a breathtaking view of the lake. The staff were very friendly, check in and out was a breeze, and we would definitely stay here again.

Date of stay March 26-28, 2021. I BR w Loft Lakefront
Not adjoining rooms but we our balconies were ‘accessible’ so our 2 families had a nice, cozy little cocktail party lakefront (great views).
#232 nice, updated,
#231 nice but old (good old fashioned furniture), not updated or as well maintained. Floors creaked, door hinges creaked, doors need adjustment as they are hard to close and make a loud noise. Beddings could use an update as well but it wasn’t bad.
Customer Service for the most part was ok. Helpful but also have a nice way of telling you what you want to hear and eventually not really addressing your request.
IMPROVE - bath soap is miserable. Why not add a bottle of body wash like your nice shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer.
Some type of breakfast would be nice. Complimentary or for purchase.
We enjoyed our stay.

I can't edit my answer above, but made a mistake. I'd take the BALCONY, not the patio. For the better view.
The property does not have air-conditioning - there are fans available
Elements Day Spa offers massages and facials. You can view their current services and prices at elements of Tahoe.
The swimming pool is open with limited capacity at a given time and the beach is open and private to hotel guests only. Currently the hot tub and sauna remain closed due to COVID-19.
