Hotel Azure Tahoe stands out for its exceptional service, with guests frequently lauding the staff's helpfulness and responsiveness. The hotel's prime location is another highlight, offering easy access to beaches and ski resorts, which reviewers consistently appreciate. While some travelers feel the hotel's room rates and additional charges don't offer good value, the recent renovations have been well-received for bringing comfortable and clean updates to the atmosphere. However, opinions on the room conditions are mixed, with some finding them spacious but in need of better upkeep.

We needed a getaway, but also wanted to stay as safe as possible. Hotel Azure is keeping rooms vacant a minimum of 24 hours between patrons and is taking mask wearing and social distancing seriously. They have hand sanitizing stations at each entrance, in the elevators, and have other sanitizing protocols in place, so all-in-all we felt that we were as safe as possible.

The lake is a short walk across the street and many restaurants (and a BofA bank) are within easy walking distance. The hot tub and pool can be used once you check in and get a reserved space so that there is social distancing. They are also pet friendly so we were able to bring our little dog with us.

The room was nicely updated and had a small fridge and microwave. I was especially happy with the room darkening curtains which made sleeping in possible. We would be happy to stay here again if we return to Lake Tahoe.

Well-kept smaller hotel nestled among trees located across the street from stairs down to beach area made for a location further away from the hustle of the Heavenly area. However, if you prefer to be in the heart of shops and restaurants this may be a bit far away. We enjoyed using the hot tub that was open until 10 pm. I greatly appreciated the friendly person answering the phone and questions regarding the hotel when I called for info and reservations.

I visited Hotel Azure in June 2020 as a way to vacation to the extent possible during this quarantine. To be brief: it's a wonderful place. Great location, in south lake tahoe -- short walk or drive to groceries/drugstores/ other restaurants.

It's a great place to base yourself if you're going to be doing hikes in the area.

My room was clean, and in my opinion, a great value. I was OK with the reduced housekeeping service during the pandemic, and they opened up the pool (on a reservation basis) while I was there. I had confidence they were taking appropriate measures to keep the place clean.

First I must say it was just a bit pricey most of the Town had vacancy with some having better deal... but we decided this would be a good place due to a lot of the reviews. We drove up to the front office somebody came out immediately took our name and gave us the keys to our room we didn't have to get out of the car.. The room and the place was very clean with very comfortable beds and quilts.. Nice TV with Dish network HBO, Fox, and local channels.. looks like all the upstairs rooms have balconies with seating.. we had a partial view of the lake across the street but there's really nowhere to go on that side of the lake there is no beach they're just rocks.. however we did love the location.. 5 minutes away from downtown stateline.. the reason they're getting 3 stars is because the price and the pool was freezing cold.. also there's some kind of noise coming out of the heating air condition unit whether it's being used or not... to use the pool you had to check in the office they would assign you a seating location in the pool area which was very nice the jacuzzi was very hot and nice.. we don't know if they turn the heating off in the pool because we came here October 8th

Dear Mike D., we would like to thank you for taking the time to review Hotel Azure. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are sorry to hear that you found our price to be a bit high and that you found our pool to be cold (it is heated to 80 degrees year round) and that there was a noise coming from the fan coil unit in your room. Thank you again for the review.

This was our first visit to Lake Tahoe and did not have a hotel in-mind. Based on on-line reviews and price we selected the Hotel Azure. Prior to our visit Hotel Azure reached out to us to ensure we had a good visit to Lake Tahoe. Upon arriving the staff was helpful during the registration process as well as places to eat and tourist spots to visit. We requested a lake view room and were happy with the room. We were concerned about potential road noise but the room was appropriately sound proofed that the road noise was not a problem. We enjoyed our visit and would stay at the Hotel Azure for our future Lake Tahoe visits.

We had a great stay at this hotel. It's within walking distance to all kinds of fun things to do like shops, beaches, restaurants. I noticed the staff all wearing masks & sanitizing public areas every single day & they have social distancing markers, all which I was very appreciative of. The room was clean & a decent size with a balcony view of the lake. Bed was comfortable staff is very very friendly.

We were very reluctant to stay in a hotel during covid so we spent a lot of time looking for a hotel that took safety precautions seriously. Hotel Azure is only allowing 50% capacity now so it is not at all crowded, and they clean the property including the halls and stairways constantly. Also, the rooms are immaculate and modern. We stayed in a beautiful and very spacious one bedroom suite with a view of the lake. It was very reasonably priced.

Also, the management was a pleasure. Again , we had many concerns, but the managers and people at the front desk spent a great deal of time answering our many questions to put us at ease, and we were more than pleased with our experience there.

I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Hotel Azure for a wonderful stay!

A really lovely hotel. It is pet friendly, which can be hard to find. They have all the pet stations setup with potty bags and trash cans (helps all of us). Very modern room, very clean and comfortable.
What's not to say, it's Lake Tahoe. Beautiful area, nice hotel.

I booked this hotel as a pit stop when driving from Minnesota to California with my two dogs. Tahoe was actually out of my way, but the website made the hotel look beautiful so I thought why not treat myself to a nice little getaway. I was looking for dog friendly hotels, and with it being Tahoe there were many many options, but this one advertised a pet fee that included a dog bed, bowl, treat, and goodie bag, so I booked it even though it was a little pricey for a place just to lay my head and use their wifi in the morning. When I was checking in the employee was telling her whole life story to a man checking in, and I waited at least 30 minutes in the lobby to finally be seen. When I went to my room I was disappointed. The floor was COVERED in dog pee stains, the curtains had yellow stains from being peed on, and there was black mold in the toilet 🤢. I was too grossed out to walk barefoot, and that should never be a thing in a $425 a night room. I booked a lake view room, but was on the first floor with big trees in front of my windows. This was the over $400 “view” I paid for? Trees? I then called the front desk asking for the dog bowl at least because I accidentally left my dogs water bowl in the last hotel we stayed at the night previously and they told me they couldn’t due to covid. However, no masks were required, no employees were wearing masks, and the pool/spa were open? So is it due to Covid or due to not wanting to? The dog amenities is the whole reason I booked this room, and they shouldn’t advertise it if they can’t actually do it (the website had their other Covid policies so it’s not that it just hadn’t been updated). Sad to say I won’t be returning to this hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others either.

dark rooms with mildewy carpet, old springy mattresses, mediocre bedding, and tiny rough bath sheets. Location is great, staff is very friendly, but cannot overcome the fact the rooms and furnishings need a MAJOR overhaul. It's quality I would expect (and be ok with) from a $50-$80 roadside motel, NOT from a property charging $200/night.
