I invited a couple of friends to Tjällmo Gästgivargård for lunch. The premises are cosy and original. We received a warm welcome. Starters and desserts were served on small trays with lots of small delicious things. Main course which we had chosen in advance, was a local fish from the lake Vättern. Service, as always, friendly and efficient. We all would like to return when they hopefully reopen during the summer months. Anders
We arrived and thought it looked ok. Walked in and is just fabulous. Clean and sparkling. Room in a small house outside which dates back to 17th century. Loved it. Clean, spacious but cozy. Not sure about the animal heads but they were not in the room. Toiletries provided and water. Breakfast had a good choice from cereals, fruit, bread and rolls, meat, cheese and fruit juice. We had a meal on the first night which was different but in a good way and delicious. They did not have the restaurant open on a Sunday night but offered to do something for us, which were declined. Could not fault it. Loved every minute.
Passed by this small village after some walking in the forests and stopped for lunch. (This review is about the restaurant.) It is not the cheapest place to eat at but what a quality! Nice and friendly service. Really nice environment in old wood buildings. The food was absolutely delicous. Ended up having a three course lunch with a digged meat sallad as a starter, the Cesar sallad as the main course and finally american mud cake as dessert.
A small but very cosy countryside inn in the Swedish country. The american chef cooks great food and there's comfy rooms in a nice small village. The bar has some interesting microbrewery beers and a good selection of wines.
