This lodge is 18km from the nearest tarmac-ed road. It overlooks a lovely beach and the accommodation is in log cabins which are in well maintained gardens. The central areas are spacious and there is a big games room and bar area. The rooms are...More
When you are nearly there, after some 15 to 20 km of dirt road, you cannot but wonder if it will be worth it.

Hi Jennie. I personally travel from Ifafa to Mbotyi regularly and have not had any problems on the way. The route that most of our guests have taken is Port Edward, Bizana (Bypass), Magusheni (Yaka Garage), Flagstaff, Lusikisiki then Mbotyi. I normally either fill at Yaka Garage Magusheni or Lusikiski without problems. The times really depends on what time you leave as I generally travel at 4am in the morning then it only takes 4 to 4.5 hours as you tend to miss the hustle and bustle in towns. Please feel free to call and speak to any onme of us at the lodge if you are needing any furher information
