This hotel is beautiful and the heated thermal pools are gorgeous and well maintained. It is as beautiful in the daytime as it is in the nighttime. The beds are comfy and the water pressure in the shower is great. They even stock each room with extra toiletries. Everyone who works there is genuinely kind. We had such a special few days there.
Kristel, Randall, Javier, Francini & Fabiola were especially amazing. Definitely ask for their recommendations for traditional Costa Rican dishes - we had delicious food there. Also, the breakfast buffet is easily 5 stars - so much variety! We will be back one day!

We stayed 4 nights at Royal Corin. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Check-in was very nice. We were taken to nice sofas to enjoy our cool towels and welcome drinks. Check in was smooth and we were taken straight to our room and our luggage followed. The room was clean and spacious. We were on the 4th floor and had a nice view of the volcano. We ate breakfast in the hotel every morning. The buffet breakfast was different every day and we always found plenty that we liked. The omelette bar was especially enjoyable - you can ask for cooked to ordered eggs any style. The reception desk will provide you pool towels if you ask. The gym was quite small. It was fine when I was in there on my own, but when more than one person was in there it was very tight. Also the signs asked that you sanitize the equipment when done, but there was no spray/wipes to wipe the equipment down. Also , it gets really hot in the gym and it would be better if they installed a fan in the gym. All the food we had was amazing and our room was always clean beyond our expectations. You can take a taxi to town for ~$8USD (the hotel will call it for you) or if you have the Uber app you can get a ride to town for ~$3. The only difference we noticed was our taxi drivers spoke English, but the Uber drivers only spoke Spanish. Highly recommend this hotel and hope to return if we come back to La Fortuna in the future.

I’m excited to write this review about our stay at the Royal Corin this past week for our Anniversary and my Birthday celebration that I’m not sure where to start with heheh…
The pandemic have changed all our lives in so many ways that we were skeptical to go out to celebrate but our experience at the hotel gave us back much of that trust to travel again.
Sanitary protocols were carefully implemented in this hotel at all times and in all the different areas starting at the entrance with Ruddy (the entrance guard), he was extremely kind and welcoming…
The most impressive detail at this hotel is the warm and kindness of all the personnel and staffs: Laura and Josey at reception; Jose at the pool wet-bar; Ariel, Victoria and Maria at the restaurants. Who ever is their Manager is doing a great job cheering and influencing the whole Royal Corin Team to do such great work with your guests.
Special mention to the most outstanding staff during our stay is for the Executive Chef David Rubi, he made us feel like super stars, super guests and super special at all times. He even came to the pool while we were at the wet-bar to personally welcome us to the dinner we have reserved and he wanted let us know that he will be ready and waiting for us at the Emperador restaurant on the fifth floor… Dinner was delicious!! THANK YOU David for arranging my “surprise” birthday dinner and make our night so special and unforgettable!!
Second outstanding mention but not less important goes to Ariel who spoiled me with all my special requests on my breakfast “Eggs and French toast, hot cakes and waffles” heheh… and with my beverages, on making them the way I like to drink them!
By the way, we loved the decoration for our birthday dinner table, not sure to who the credits goes to, I supposed to the restaurant staff Team which were Victoria, Jose and Ariel as they were the ones on board that night… THANK YOU guys!
Our room was also decorated gorgeously romantic and in addition there was a plate full of strawberries coated with dark chocolate, what a surprise! Just amazing and they were spectacularly delicious for a afternoon coffee break! THANK YOU so much Housekeeping Team!
Bottom line, Royal Corin is a small and cozy elegant hotel very well designed with an Asian pacific spiritual touch surrounded by volcanic thermal hot spring pools which was our main interest at the beginning but what we love the most during our visit was the whole experience, service and attention from all the staff and the details… this is what makes the difference for a World Class Experience and Service. Definitely coming back soon!

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Corin for three nights in February and had a great experience there. Having mineral pools on site was a huge, huge plus and one of the main reasons we booked here – while they are not as scenic as Tabacon, they are still attractive and just as relaxing and it was the perfect way to unwind each day (especially with a drink in hand!). The service went above and beyond – the entire staff was friendly and hospitable and we appreciated the complementary welcome drinks and appetizers as well as the mini desserts brought to our room each night. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable and we had a nice view of Arenal from our balcony (the hotel is designed so all guests have this view). We were on the side of the hotel closest to the main road so we did hear noise but it wasn’t too disruptive. The breakfast buffet (included in our stay) was great and there was good variety each day. We ended up eating dinner at the hotel each night since there aren’t many options in La Fortuna. The food was good but not particularly memorable. We also got massages at the spa which were enjoyable and not too expensive ($75 pp), especially compared to the US. There’s a nice set of private hot springs and saunas available to spa guests as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. We are in our early 30s and were some of the youngest guests there, but this worked out to our advantage because we wanted peace and quiet.

What a fantastic hotel! We stayed here for 5 nights. We experienced pure eloquence and class in every aspect, from check in, to food and housekeeping. Customer service leads by example. Nothing was a bother, hotel staff are always willing to help and personally greet you, always adding a special touch. It made our holiday so special. An experience we'll never forget. Location wise it's close to Arenal volcano, you can see it from your balcony, Mistico and La Fortuna waterfall. The one downside is the hot springs pool wasn't clean. Having said this, I would definitely stay here again.

I usually don't take the time to leave reviews for anything but I felt I had to leave one for this hotel. We stayed over the Valentines Day holiday and it was just a wonderfully relaxing 3 nights. This hotel understands 5 star hospitality and is very well managed from top to bottom. Every guest is treated like a VIP as soon as you arrive, welcoming guest with a glass of delicious fruit juice and warm towel. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and decorated with art and ambient lighting. As you'll see, this hotel excels at those little thoughtful touches. They knew in advance we were celebrating our anniversary so they took the time and effort to have a delightful chocolate dipped strawberry plate and kind welcome note waiting for us. They also had someone artfully arrange towels shaped into two loving elephants with rose petals all over the bed! The whole scene was very romantic especially with a perfect view of the volcano right off the balcony. Every associate we encountered did such an amazing job of taking care of us and I don't think I ever heard the word "no" during our whole stay. The breakfast every morning was absolutely incredible. I also need to say that this was our first adults only hotel and It will certainly not be the last.. It just makes the stay so relaxing, quiet and romantic. Please keep it this way! Everything about our experience here far exceeded our expectations. We just want to stay thank you to the entire staff for a special stay. We'll be back!

Royal Corin is a fine hotel in La Fortuna in the Arenal area of central Costa Rica. The room was spacious and comfortable. The feture here is the array of about six volcanic hot spring pools, as well as one normal temperature pool, although the geography of the pool made actual swimming difficult. The front desk can be officious. For instance, unique to this hotel, you must present a plastic card to get a pool towel from the front desk: no card, no towel. . .this in contrast to EVERY other hotel I have ever been in, where they have dozens of towels right at the pool with no "procedure" to get one. I came downstairs without my towel card once, asked for a towel, and the desk clerk just walked away from me. So much for "The customer is always right." They have an excellent restaurant, The Emperador, where we had several great meals.

Amazing experience with great attention to detail. My group of 5 girls were there for a birthday. We felt like we were the only ones there with the way the staff treated us. Milena in reservations was so accommodating to our ever-changing schedules and booked all of our excursions. Everyone down to jesslyn and joshey from the front desk and deiby our beloved chef who spends his entire day morning to night attending to our needs just to make sure our experience was nothing less than perfect. Everyone from the drivers and staff made us feel safe and comfortable. Very clean, immaculate rooms, lobby. I never felt unsafe from pandemic standpoint. Sanitizing stations at every level and temp check and sink to wash hands before entering the lobby were just an extra touch. The people of Costa Rica in general were all so friendly, passionate about what they do and keeping their country clean and environmentally sound. Highly recommend!

We stayed here one night on our travels through CR. Definitely our most favorite. Very good location near town to drive or take taxi. I was pleased with the security upon entering the property. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There are multiple clean and attractive thermal pools and the natural springs hot tubs in the pool area are in more secluded spots among lush landscaping. Breakfast was excellent. I think all the rooms face the Arenal volcano. Did not use the spa but walked through the beautiful facility. Loved this hotel!

A beautiful resort with friendly staff. Their sanitation procedures were very extensive including masks and gloves for all staff and regular temperature checks for the resort and restaurants. Their spa was exceptional and the Lava restaurant on the top floor is excellent for an extra special dinner. The breakfast buffet each morning was delicious and authentic with some items changing each day.
Our only complaint is that the resort is close to a very busy road. You will regularly hear commercial trucks and recreational vehicles throttle up and down especially if you have a room closest to the road.

All the hot pools are included. They all have different temps which is great. We used the small sauna the day we had a massage which was one of the best I’ve ever had.

I guess it depends on how you fill the restaurant upstairs. I dressed up the rest of the restaurants I was casual, but I’ve seen everybody in every restaurant dress. However, they felt hopefully that helped.

They have a service that sends a healthcare provider ( in our case it was a Dr.) directly to your room or you can meet them in an office near the lobby. I believe we paid $85 (US dollars) per person. Results were back in 2-3 hours emailed. Really easy and very fast!
