Visited here for Anniversary. On arrival we were welcomed with a welcome drink and shown to our room.Very relaxing ,quiet getaway for couples or group of friends. The food was amazing and one if the best steaks I have had. Romantic turndown was extra special. Highly recommend.
What an amazing experience my friend and I had. At Qambathi they know what hospitality is. They have thought about anything you would need. A nice fire during the rainy days, with some board games, cozy look and feel and a great way to connect with other travellers. And during sunnier days you can enjoy an amazing hike through the forest, enjoy the animals walking on the property or just laying at the pool. We completely relaxed during our stay, as they looked after us very nicely. We enjoyed our 5 course dining experiences as well as the drive to some other nice spots around for lunch. Also my room was amazing, a beautiful typical African Rondaval with amazing views, a nice deck to chill on and look at the horses and zebra's. We absolutely loved our stay and will be back soon!
My husband and I spent a much needed relaxing night here just over a week ago. What a delight! A real feast for the senses - from the wildlife along the way and the warm welcome on arrival to the delicious food and luxurious setting. We will definitely be back! Thank you Nadia, you are a wonderfully gracious hostess.
We loved our stay at Qambathi! The rooms were beautifully appointed with a lovely supersized bed, and the location and scenery is superb. We enjoyed a horse-riding trip and a long hike up the mountain accessible from the property. We got caught in the rain, and the lodge had hot chocolate, sherry and a blazing fire awaiting our return. It’s small things like this that sets places like Qambathi apart. They also included little notes, and bedtime stories in the room. The owners are wonderful and friendly, and the surrounding nature is perfect for exploration, fishing and hikes! Or just to cosy up inside and play board games.
My husband secretly arranged a surprise night away for my 60th birthday in April, then lockdown happened and we couldn't go. He and Stephen were in communication to find a midweek night when there were no other guests booked in, as we are still isolating as much as possible, due to me being a cancer survivor. So we were incredibly blessed to have this amazing, small lodge all to ourselves for a night. What an incredible find! Everything was outstanding. The staff attention to detail and customer service is amazing. From the food (thanks James and Fungai) to front of house (Mendoza), Stephen himself and the various others who worked behind the scenes and who we didn't meet, you really have a winning formula. We have never seen so many stars in the sky before. We so appreciated the eco-friendly touches (no plastic wrappings) and real, fresh, ground coffee in our room. I couldn't have been more delighted with my delayed present.…
