Lovely place, rooms need some revamping, menu needs so revamping, activities are not value for money and they are costly. Not a lot of shops available to buy much so come prepared. Nice experience of wild life, water and mountains

+1
Our stay at Jozini tiger lodge was impeccably catered for . The hotel rooms were on point , clean and the break taking views of the Jozini lake just added further dimension to our stay. The chef ( Mr Wiseman ) went out of his way to cater for our individual needs. The choice of variety in meals ...added value to our gastronomical culinary experience. The tiger fishing opportunities were a keen fisherman's paradise.
Definitely will be back.

I attended a wedding last week at Jozini Tiger Lodge, we booked the Friday and everything looked was okay with the friendly check in staff who gave us a very warm welcome after a long drive from Johannesburg.
We opted for the buffet which was shocking to say the least for R220 you would expect the lodge to have more variety but we were served an option gammon and fish, and for someone who really doesn't eat Pork, I was left with only the fish option which is also not a favorite. I requested from the lady who was assisting at the buffet who went and spoke to the chef who was very obnoxious towards me and plain rude about the limited choices on the buffet.
The lodge is okay with great views of the dam but one can give it a miss there are plenty of nicer places around SA which provide better customer service, not employees who act like they are doing you a favor

This lodge is beautifully positioned & offers a great views from the rooms & other places in the hotel. The rooms were pretty comfortable & neat. The food was great!
However the staff need more training as their service is pathetic to say the least. Upon check in my friends & I were not even offered the standard orientation of the lodge - just told drive there there and your room will be in that block. Not even help with our bags considering we had to do a flight of stairs. Then in my room the beds had not been prepared as a 2 sleeper as requested. Because my friend & I had arrived a day earlier, we literally had to tell the lodge that each of the rooms was for 2 ladies to avoid the other ladies going through same.
There were groups that were there for a birthday or photoshoots. This created alot of chaos for others guests in the pool area - especially those of us who were just chilling at the pool area. Another annoying aspect was having to fetch towels from reception area & requested to return towels to reception - mind you the reception & pool is quiete a walk. This practice is just ridiculous & as a well travelled person I know that they really should have someone attending to the pool area needs.
Woooo and the spa downstairs is beautiful but the therapists are not good at allðŸ˜

Booking was done at 10:30 with a request for check-in between 12 and 1 an approval was only sent at 3 but on arrival we were told that the rooms were not ready and had to wait. On arrival to the unit a maintenance person was standing on the patio, once the door was opened they proceeded with a big ladder and equipment stating they were there to fix the air conditioner bringing in dirt and mud into the unit the headboard was also wet. We had called reception to lay a complaint and were told that they were fully booked and that there was nothing they could do about it, thereafter a second maintenance person had entered the room they proceeded to fix the air conditioner not indicating when they would finish, creating noise and having no privacy we were forced to leave the unit and could only return after dinner.

The food was disgusting. Uncooked sausages during breakfast and on our special request, hair in the prawn and chicken curry, fish bones in my wrap. Cold hard mutton chops during the braai as a special request. Broken kids toys in kiddies area. Not a very kid friendly place. Will not go back again

I don't know if it's a norm to search guests like criminals at the gate or what. The hotel cleaner gave me less towels than I was apparently supposed to get. When I checked out, I was searched and humiliated like a criminal. Only to find that they didn't bring the required number of towels in my room the day before. The hotel manager didn't bother to call me and apologize, nothing! The customer service is shocking! If anything happens in the room, as a guest you are the first suspect, then they ask questions later. I'm never going back there! NEVER!

Dear Londeka Thank you for taking your time to complete our survey. We have taken note of your comments and concerns, in terms of guest search (like criminals), no we do not do that but we politely do ask guest to check their luggage before they leave should there be a report of missing items from their units as it happens that guest do by mistake pack hotel items. As previously, in two occasions have apologised, I would like to apologise once again to you for the discomfort on the day of departure. I thank you Goodman Ncobeni General Manager

Absolutely fantastic food, accommodation and hospitality. A special mention must go to Mavis from the Jozini Tiger Lodge staff who tracked me down to inform me that they had found my cellphone that I had lost while on holiday. She did not stop until she was able to eventually get hold of me and took time out of her day to post the phone back to me. Honesty says a lot about the integrity and safety of the place and I would highly recommend!!!!!

It was breathtaking, the scenery beautiful and enjoyed the overall stay. Boat cruise was also 👌. Food was eatable and very tasty, the swimming pool isn't really comfortable as it is near the dining area and there was always people either eating or relaxing near.

It's a beautiful location and we had a balcony and really enjoyed sitting out but it's a really badly run operation and needs major intervention. Aircons were filthy..we had to take pillows off the bed as they were stained and smelly! Sewage smell developing, we couldn't wait to leave. Restaurant food was average and again great view but no management on people behavior and covid 19 best practices...sad but we'll never go back.

Hi. It is best to book ahead. Call Cassia who makes the bookings at the hotel. Her number is +27 (76) 5062929.
Best to book in advance. The hotel can give you the contact number.
Please can you contact reservations at the lodge and they will assist you.
I'm sure they are but as my hair is very short I didn't really notice. But you would only have to ask if there wasn't one, they really couldn't be more helpful.
Hope this helps
