Kalahari Farmstall is situated on the C15 Road, Mata Mata, 14 km from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, ideally for a day trip visit to the park. The Farmstall offers comfortable, spacious, air con, own BBQ accommodation, self catering or B&B. A campsite under Camelthorn trees, each powerpoint, hot water. The Farmstall with coffeeshop is a refreshing roadstop for the hungry and thirsty traveler.
Lovely spacious and comfortable flat with braai and patio looking over farm and kalahari sand dunes. Very enjoyable stay over only minutes from Kgalagadi Park makes it the perfect way to visit the park in an affordable but comfortable way. Enjoyed a lovely hike over the dunes after a long day of driving.

We stayed here after departing from Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The rooms were excellent, the pool was refreshing, and the walk up the hill from the farm provided a beautiful sunset! The only sad part was that we happen to be there during a huge caterpillar, hatching and catapillars were everywhere!

We stayed for 1 night before travelling into the Kalahari Transfrontier Park. the room was very spacious and clean, with the most comfortable pillows I had all holiday! There was also a kitchenette and a lovely cafe onsite open during the day until 5pm. If you don't want to self-cater then some of the nearby lodges take dinner bookings. My only complaint was that there was no hot water available on the evening we arrived, although there was plenty in the morning. I would stay here again if in the area.

The Farmstall is conveniently situated just a short distance from the border. The rooms, pool and shop/cafe overlook the farm and dry river bed. The bedroom was huge and very tastefully decorated. Simple meals are served at the cafe until late afternoon and food for self catering is available from the shop. The staff and owners were helpful and friendly at all times. A very comfortable stay,

I love this tranquil place. Spacious rooms with your own braai and outdoor seating. We cooked ourselves and could use the Farmstall cooking plate. We had the swimming pool to ourselves, starr gazing at night. Stay here if you want to visit the Kalagadi park from the Namibian side. Marica is a kind and relaxing host.

Because Kalahari Farmstall also practices sustainable livestock farming a wide variety of bird species are attracted to the area. This is of utmost interest for birdwatching guests. People working here really go the extra mile to make their guests stay as comfortable as possible, even if it is cooking a bowl of porridge if you like it! Thank you!

We didn't have many expectations but we were pleasantly surprised with what we found. Clean, cool spacious rooms, a lovely little pool, restaurant, curio shop and small shop and great hospitality is what greeted us. All of this in the middle of nowhere at very reasonable prices. I can't comment on the quality of the restaurant as we braaied. My only complaint was having to lug our baggage up steps which was an effort for my wonky knee. Highly recommended if you can't book for Mata Mata as it is only 20 minutes to the gate.

Lovely campsite which also had a very useful big boma complete with sinks. This site is in an ideal situation for going into or coming out of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The scenery in this area is absolutely stunning. The helpful staff provided us with a good light lunch at the farm stall as we arrived mid pm having driven from Windhoek. We also bought some superb Springbok fillets and borewors. The swimming pool was very welcome and there is also accommodation for those not camping.

It was a great stay. We had two nights. A very fine welcome, a nice huge appartment. We had both diner and breakfast. Very well made. The Farmstall lies about 15 minutes drive from the Kgalagadi Park. Since Mata Mata hasn't that much houses, the Farmstall is a great alternative.

We spend two nights here camping, two couples in caravans. What a lovely campsite, lots of shade and fantastic ablutions. We had a relaxing time recovering from two long days on the road. The last night we spoilt ourselves and had a lovely meal in the restaurant.
