This is very fair review, and meant to give the management a chance to improve this hotel. I hope they take it positively. Those who have given this hotel a 5 star rating must have never set foot outside Skiathos. This hotel is at best a 3 star accommodation by any international standards. To understand what is a 5 star hotel and how it should operate, I suggest the management make a visit to Dubai, London, Singapore, Japan, south Korea, Bali or even neighbouring Turkey and they will soon realise (I hope) how they should build and operate a 5 star hotel. 1-The long list of problems with this hotel starts with the design of bathroom. Very small bathrooms with the standard only worthy of a bed and breakfast hostel. 2- it takes 5-10 minutes for the hot water to start running, so be prepared to stand in a cold showe waiting for the water to get warm. 3- there is no ventilation so after each shower the ting bathroom gets so misty that you can't see anything. 4- Plumbing is so badly designed that the waste foamy water from the bathtub comes out of a drain in the main area, so as soon as you come out of bathtub you set foot on flooded floor full of foam and dirty water! 5- flush tanks keep running, they must have designed the plumbing in a way that all the wastewaters from top floors are drained to the lower floors so you keep hearing draining waters. 6- Rooms are freezing cold with no heating system. We ask for duvets but instead were provided by paper thin blankets that wasn't keeping us warm. 7- there is no dressing table with mirrors and with the misty bathroom putting make-up is a huge hurdle. We raised this several times with the reception and asked for a mirror and were told that they didn't have any mirror! 8- standard of cleaning of the room is very poor and even after cleaning you can see hairs, and foot marks in the floor. 9- We are very concerned about the security in this place. In one occasion a plumber opened our door and entered our room without knocking the door and straight went to the bathroom to do a maintenance job! In another occasion our door was accessed by a member of staff and when we asked what he wanted he said sorry and left! These are totally unacceptable and won't happen in any 5 star hotel anywhere in the world. 10- I wouldn't even start to write about the quality of food as some of previous reviewers have already reviewed how overcooked and unappetising the food is. Overall, this facility is in need of a professional manager who has an eye for details and can train the staff. We will most certainly not return to this place and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who would like to have a true 5 star experience.…

Having taken into consideration all the issues you raised regarding your overall stay in our hotel, we would like to have the opportunity to address the issues at hand relatively. It seems rather difficult for us to view your criticism as constructive, given the fact that none of the mentioned issues were addressed to our managers, who are on site every day almost all day long. Therefore, we believe that had you mentioned your room issues, at least with our front office manager, we would solve everything on the spot. As you may have noticed, all our reviews clearly state the first class service we provide our guests, and that our staff goes the extra mile in order to make sure all our guests’ needs are attended to. Moving on to address the matters separately. The size of our bathrooms has never been an issue for our guests, on the contrary, they found the bathrooms to be rather big in regards to the room itself, so it is a surprise for us that you raised such a complaint. Given the fact that you chose the beautiful island of Skiathos for your summer holidays, you shouldn’t have been surprised by some peculiarities in the water supply system. In any case, your constantly running flush tank, or the overflow from the bathroom drain, was dealt immediately from our maintenance team, and as far as our log is registered, we have not seen any other complaint that this has been going on for the duration of your stay, so we assume it was a one time incident. Our hotel is fully in harmony with standard GDPR protocol, therefore, no member of our staff or our maintenance team enters your room, without you being informed in advance, which in our log book entries, that was the case. In regards to our heating system, kindly be informed that since we are a hotel that is operating during summer season only, our air conditions are set by default to cold mode, therefore, we could not change the default settings. We have provided you with extra blankets, which we presume would suit you, however, if they didn’t, again, we have no entry in our log book that you wished for thicker blankets in the room. Had we known so, we would have arranged for thicker blankets for you. As you were informed during your check in procedure, our hotel maintains an internal information application called Exclusivi, where you can give your real time feedback during your stay regarding your experience in our hotel. We have noticed that during your stay you rated your experience as a 10/10, therefore, that gave us the impression that you were having a good time and that you really enjoyed your time spent in our hotel. As you realize, your TripAdvisor review, came as a total surprise to us all after your rating. Dear UKtravellerdoc, the truth is, considering your similar low rated reviews from your past hotel experiences, we are rather hesitant about your good mood that you mention you have in the beginning. We clearly accept every review & comment, clearly yours too, however, in no circumstances can we allow comments such as “lack of professionalism” define our managers & staff, as thousands of satisfied guests throughout the years can refute you at a glance in all the respective review sites. Our sincerest of apologies for not being able to meet your high standards, and we do hope that, in the future, you choose a unit that can suffice for your needs. Arrived and got to our room, room wasn’t to our taste so we upgraded to a suite room, room was lovely and the view from the balcony even better! By being in a suite room we had a private pool and private part of the beach which we used well and loved! Staff very friendly, guy on the beach that brings food and drinks was excellent too! We used the water taxi from the beach to head into town most nights and was super handy and at €3.50 each cheaper than a taxi too. Staff are happy to hire a taxi for you from reception and it’s €10 each way to town. The 3 pools are excellent and all clean, some are a little chilly first thing in the morning but soon warm up by mid day. Food and drink in hotel is excellent too as is the Rada restaurant on the beach Will certainly visit again!…

We stayed here for a relaxing break in May. It’s nice and close to the beach with a good pool. Despina is also amazing with really good customer service. She went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. If you’re looking for a simple holiday this location would be a great option.

It has been our seventh visit to Kasandra Bay and to our extended family at this fantastic hotel. Again we can only praise the staff so happy and helpful .Our room as always such a great view and clean and large. The food managed by George was very tasty and once the buffet had opened a few days into our stay was so much easier to navigate. Thanasis in the restaurant managed the place to military precision and very attentive. We can only say nice things about our stay again and see you next year,we can't wait
