I just spent five days at Oyster Bay Beach Resort. It seemed as if I’d checked into a nursing home by mistake. With the single exception of Felix, the staff was as friendly as your expect in a nursing home. The restaurant food was also on par with a nursing home. Timeshare

Oyster Bay Beach Resort (OBBR) has come back 100% from the devastation of Irma. The staff is as friendly as ever and happy to welcome us back. Lots to do in the area and close to Phillipsburg, the center of the Dutch side and a short drive to Simpson Bay where there is great

This resort is a bit hard to find the first time you get there but, it's worth it! Excellent beach, staff, and beautiful scenery! The buildings are in excellent condition as OBBR did an outstanding job of recovering from the brutal damage left from Hurricane Irma. Do yourself

Needless to say that Irma did a number on St Maarten. I commend the people of St Maarten for rebuilding theirhome so quickly. OBBR is in remarkable shape for the amount of damage that was done. The beautiful island and it’s people make it easy to overlook any inconvenience for

I didn’t see a lot of construction going on in the summer but it isn’t on the beach. We had to walk up a large flight of stairs to get to our room and then the room had stairs within it as well. I would contact the hotel directly regarding wheel chair accessible rooms and areas. I recall stairs even for a public washroom.

So there is not shuttle unless you have arranged one, Taxi will do, probably about $30/$40 plus fees. There are plenty of grocery stores on the way. A good Taxi will stop and wait for you, be sure the unit you are in has a kitchen vs a studio. If you choose you may rent a car right on sight and then take your time to shop in Phillipsburg for a day. There are not stores to walk to yet after the Hurricane. Enjoy as we have been going to OBBR for 19yrs and we just love it. Two weeks is the best
