The BlackBrick hotel is an edgy industrial hotel in the center of town. With good linen, and good style, a neat kitchenette, tv, desk and bathroom everything is simply covered. Upstairs is a rooftop area to hang out it. I would say perfect for business travelers that want to be in the hub of the city near museums, shops and cafes.

The hotel has all you need for a quick business trip.
It is comfortable, and clean.
There are some tweaks that could make the stay more comfortable (more pillows on the bed, newer towels, and complimentary water in the room.)
The breakfast is nothing to write home about, and I would rather eat breakfast to any of the trendy restaurants in the area. But the Coffee they serve & the smoothies are excellent. I would stay there again, but not for a holiday.

I love everything about this hotel group and their vertical village concept. Everything you need is under one roof: accommodation, gym, cinema room, co-working space, meditation room and of course Not a Gallery.
Kyle, Peter, Phillip and Chad are always helpful and no request is too much. They have 24-hour security and for a female solo traveller, this is so important.
Be sure to join their member events and meet the other guests in the hotel. They have worked hard to establish a vibrant community, so even when travelling solo you're not alone.

The mimosas on arrival were a nice touch :)

We had a terrible stay at BlackBrick Cape Town. We checked in only to find the floor in our room and bathroom was filthy (dust balls everywhere, old chewing gum stuck to the floor). It was clear the floors hadn't been scrubbed or cleaned properly for a long time. The bathroom floor mat was black underneath after we used it once - that is how disgusting the floors were. We were also only given one towel, and when we asked for a second kaycard we were told they had run out of keycards. To add to this, the front desk never responded to our messages, and didn't sort out any of the issues above until we had asked multiple times and contacted their Sandton branch. By far the worst accommodation we have ever stayed in.

My stay was amazing. Location of the Black Brick was perfect at Saints Georges Mall, close to so many nice shops and it made shopping really easy.
The staff were exceptional in their services and I’m sure visiting again.

We stayed at the hotel in Cape Town with a group of friends, occupying 3 rooms for the 6 of us. Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, they overcharged my credit card for 430€, and only refunded the excess amount almost 2 months later after numerous reminders.

The rooms themselves were appalling: sewage water leaking from the bathroom pipes from the ceiling onto the floor (no alternative room or reparation despite multiple complaints); inadequate towels, multiple days in a row; no light in the bathroom; no air conditioning remote in the summer with single glass windows; stained bedding; and a sink that wouldn't drain. Despite daily reports of these issues, no action was taken.

The so-called 'manager' was impossible to reach until our last day, during which they failed to correct the overcharge issue. We were promised compensation of 8000 rand for the large amount of problems, but four months and countless emails later, it remains an empty promise and a huge scam.

I sincerely hope no one entrusts this hotel to be part of their journey. I have never encountered such poor accommodation and terrible customer service anywhere else.

I absolutely loved my first experience of BlackBrick Hotel Cape Town. There’s a very easy going vibe throughout the hotel, it’s a sweet space for creatives. The staff are young and friendly and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is central so moving around the city is cheap and quick! The wifi is fast and the amenities are amazing. We partner and I enjoyed our breakfast meals at their hotel restaurant/bar/gallery and enjoyed a movie night in the cosiest private cinema. I would definitely stay there again on my future trips to Cape Town.

Room was not clean, the floor had spots specially in the toilet.
The windows don't close properly, you can hear the noise of the streets and the window shutters are not good.
The toilet doesn't have air conditioner or purifier, the smell goes to the room and stays there.
The location of the hotel is not good and didn't feel safe.

All staff are friendly and very helpful. Great facilities ( private parking, gym, mini cinema, rooftop chill area and workspaces). The room was very clean and had everything to make it comfortable ( AC, smart TV with netflix and youtube, kitchenet with kettle; microwave and toaster, QR code to order food and very comfortable bed). Location is nice and central which makes it easy to get everywhere quite quickly and easily. I highly recommended this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Cape Town.

It was a good price for two people. Unfortunately I couldn't experience the restaurant because it was always closed when I left early. The check in time is pretty late though. A great place nonetheless!
