My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this beautifully clean hotel. Every single staff member was so friendly and helpful and although we booked the economy pod room which is a small room - the layout and lighting made it feel more than adequate. Some cosy modern touches like the safe in an economy room were a great asset in making us feel secure.

We really enjoy the breakfast in the morning and felt the hotel had definitely provided for all tastes and the best value for money possible.

One improvement which we were only informed of upon arrival is that the secure parking closes at 11pm and costs R100 over and above the booking cost. This left us leaving our restaurant show earlier than other guests in order to make it back in time, which we only just managed. This did seem like a small thing though after all that we experienced at the hotel. I would definitely be recommending this hotel to everyone and hopefully be back soon.

our apartment was being painted, and we decided breathing in the paint fumes was not an option. What a blast we had at Kloof Street Hotel. Believe you guys have only been operating for a year, but we already love the Lion Roars group and will look out for it wherever we go in future.
Really jacked breakfast and dinner restaurant; such a cool wine special; plenty items on the menu to suit a fussy 5-year-old, and swims with a Table Mountain view to die for. Just divine. didn't realise how much I needed the break until we checked in.
I had to work a fair amount (competent wifi, thank you!), but the location was perfect for picking up items we'd forgotten at the nearby Lifestyle Centre and for copious trips to play putt-putt (my son is a budding golfer).
Housekeeper in charge Shamielah suggested we return in December (Christmas gifts for the kids!) We will certainly do so.
I used to live in the Mother City CBD and miss the vibe sooo much. Thank you for making us so much at home.

Right in the hub of the very trendy Kloof Street, surrounded by great restaurants, clubs, pubs and theatres.

Fantastic stylish interior and decor throughout the hotel.

We loved the minimalistic decor of the very comfortable bedroom, with super comfortable beds and fresh, crisp with linen.

Great restaurant with very good breakfast.

The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable and we felt well looked after and spoiled.

We checked in at Kloof Street Hotel on the 2nd of June.

The hotel is very central, neat and modern.

The night of the 2nd of June they had an art exhibition with a DJ, our room was on the ground floor right next to the bar/event area.

The noise from the event was so loud that we could not sleep that evening and the interleading door to the rooms were slammed open end close every few minutes.

The evening of the 4th there was a salsa dance evening and once again the noise was too much and to top it off there was a couple next door to us who were fighting the whole night.

We called reception to ask that they go check in on them and to ask them to keep it down and no staff ever came to check in on the situation or to ask them to keep it down.

I personally feel that if you would like to be an entertainment area you should have better insulation for your rooms or give your guests the option to move to a different room away from the noise.

Your breakfast was also not something I would recommend to the guests at all.

You must pay for something as simple as cappuccino and water and if you ask for a fried egg instead off scramble, they want to charge you for it.

It is a neat and modern hotel, but the excessive noise and lack in service unfortunately spoiled our stay.

The hotel looked amazing with all the finishing's and the staff were so friendly, unfortunately we had been gifted the stay for one night for a wine tasting which was cancelled due to not many people booking for the event, so rather than a wine tasting we were given a bottle of dry red wine which neither of us drink(an option would have been nice). From reception to our room there was a garbage smell permeating through the hotel which was very unpleasant. We got seated downstairs right by a "dancefloor" where there was a salsa evening which wasn't very romantic for us, so we went upstairs to eat. We tried to order cocktails but were told that they didn't have the ingredients and continued to run around looking for just an appletiser. As we booked for a wine tasting event we had a set menu which turned out to be removed as well and were given the regular menu. (Food was good). The waiter that served us was amazing and friendly but the poor guy was running up and down by himself trying to serve everyone. We did join for a bit of salsa after dinner and then called it a night at about 10ish but couldn't get much sleep as we could hear the party continue and all the neighbors as the walls are super thin. We were told breakfast was from 7-10... when we arrived at 7, everyone was still setting up, we had no idea what was going on, the food wasn't ready and we had to ask for plates. Everything was very unorganized and the breakfast was thrown together very quickly. Besides for all the unpleasantries, the staff were amazing, the setting was beautiful and we did make the best of it. On another note, rather than say "city view" say "city facing", as the terrace's are on the 1st floor so you only get to view the building in front of you.

Dear Shaun, Thank you kindly for taking the time to leave us with this review. What a lovely gift to have received! Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions we did indeed have to postpone the wine pairing event. We are greatly apologetic that we had to make this tough decision and that it was not to your favour. We offered you the option of rescheduling your stay to the postponed event's new date or still hosting you and gifting you a complimentary bottle of wine and a 3 course meal in its place. Whilst this was not what you had hoped to experience, we truly tried to make the best of a tough situation. We are happy to hear that the food was good! We appreciate your feedback that our staff were amazing and that our setting was beautiful. We truly hope that if we get the joy of having you stay with us again in the future that we can meet all of your expectations. Until then, wishing you good fortune and happiness in all of your future travels - stay safe and take care!

As a group of friends, we stay here quite a lot as find the location is perfect for getting around town and the facilities are excellent for a group of friends spending a night or two in the city.
The staff are always friendly and gracious, the rooms and spaces are clean and well appointed and the rates are competitive!

This time, there were a few small things in our room that needed attention but when raised with reception, they were quick to make a note and send someone to help. That's all you want right! Good service! After all, we are all only human!

Another pleasant stay, and we'll be back soon!

We decided to take a break and attend the Allesverloren Wine and food pairing on Saturday night at Kloof Street Hotel.
The hotel is very stylish and modern. The staff are all friendly and always ready to assist.
We received a free upgrade to a luxury suite which we were very thankful for. Our room was comfortable and everything that we needed. There is safe hotel parking at an additional fee which we most certainly made use of.
Breakfast was Continental and we were spoilt for choice.
Well done Kloof street hotel.

The location of the hotel is in a safe area and all employees are very nice and helpful. Thanks to the staff in the hotel my friend and I had a wonderful stay in Cape Town. They helped us organize every trip (if you book it online it's sometimes more expensive than if they will book it for you) and always took care of our safety. You have a 24 hour reception and even if you come home from clubbing in the late night you can have a nice chat with the people and they always help you. Also the food is delicious and the rooms are beautiful to stay (room service is excellent).

There is only one thing which I have to admit which could be maybe a problem for someone. The area is not totally silence. But I liked it to hear a little bit the night life of Cape Town. And you are perfectly located for all kind of things to do in Cape Town (Lions head, table mountain, waterfront shopping mall everything is really close wit the uber).

So dear Kloof Street Hotel
Thank you very much for a beautiful and amazing stay in Cape Town. I will definitely come back if I will visit Cape Town again.

My friend & I only stayed for one night, however we had a great experience. We booked a luxury room & it looked beautiful; the bathroom as well. Friendly staff, modern décor, cute aesthetics & clean surroundings is the general theme of the hotel. The location is ideal, centrally located & close to many restaurants & night life spots.

Breakfast was an incredible experience, the area has a pool & you can lounge & dine either inside or outside. The area has a direct view of Table Mountain. The bonus on the week was that they stretch breakfast time to allow the late risers an opportunity to eat without being in a rush.

NB: Expect to pay a fee for safe parking, the hotel provides safe underground parking.

Overall, a great experience.
