Old Bank Hotel, a restored heritage building built in 1902 by renowned architects Black and Fagg, was the original Nedbank building in the Cape. Oozing charm and sophistication, old meets new in this celebration of classic Victorian architecture and modern design. The entrance to the hotel is via a towering domed glass arch on the ground floor where a doorman will meet you and guide you up to the 8th floor. The elevator doors open into a light and open space that holds the reception, a private dining area and restaurant, a state of the art wine cellar and a show-stopping bar - the perfect space to sit back and enjoy the city views with a classic Old Fashioned or one of our signature cocktails. On warm summer days relax on the loungers and breathe in the distant sounds of the vibrant city below. Old Bank offers free WiFi throughout. Spacious bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms with showers are decorated with modern elegance and luxurious finishings. Choose between Deluxe or Superior Rooms, Suites, or spoil yourself to a few nights in the sought-after Presidential Suite.

Stayed 3 nights on my own and could not have been better looked after by the pleasant, helpful, team. Beautifully renovated rooms and restaurant/bar. My room was spacious, with morning sun in the lovely bathroom.

It was the first time I stayed in a hotel where the was no complimentary water bottles. The hotel needs to review their amenities policy. The staff are excellent. Rooms are clean. The are rooms which face an apartment block so when you open windows you can see into peoples apartments and vice versa, perhaps enquire about the view from the room

I'm in two minds whether to give this hotel a 4 or 5 star rating. Five stars for the lovely, spacious rooms (a bit noisy, but still 5 stars)!, 5 stars for the amazing staff who went out of their way to make me comfortable. Five stars for the delicious breakfasts! BUT 4 stars (perhaps even less) for the parking arrangements. Parking is in a parking garage in a building about 400meters from the hotel. You have a choice, either you give your keys to a staff member to park the car for you (valet parking), and fetch it again when you need it (no, sorry!), or you fetch and take said staff member with you to park the car, and ask said staff member to walk with you to the parking garage to fetch your car. Why not give guests an access card to the parking garage? I ended up parking my car in the street in front of the hotel - not safe at all but the security guard kept an eye on my car.

I had an amazing weekend on the Olde Bank Hotel. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was really amazing. The location is very central and it can be a little bit noisy, but nothing that made my experince less enjoyable. Highly recommend the hotel. It was a great find

Friendly clean modern hotel. Our 2 single beds was changed into double bed by staff when they realised we're a couple. We did not have to ask. Breakfast selection was great and wine list very good for type of hotel.
