Our stay at Camissa got off to a rough start when we arrived late at night to find that the hotel didn’t have our reservation and all rooms were full. I’m not sure if the error was the hotel’s fault or hotels.com, but regardless, the way the staff handled the issue was fabulous. The employee on staff that night, Tariq, was nice enough to give us his room, which was one of the guest rooms that the staff stays in when working nights. The generosity of that was so kind, especially when he was as stressed as we were. The next day we were moved to a huge suite overlooking Cape Town. All of the amenities in the hotel were great - the food, drinks, pool. The location is right at the base of Table Mountain and a good place to start a hike. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe but also a close Uber ride to tons of shopping and restaurants. I would have been impressed with the hotel by itself, but the staff really makes this place special. Thank you all for the wonderful stay!

Beautiful position, right underneath Table Mountain. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious (best granola and eggs Benedict in town!). Would definitely go back! Thank you.

What we love about Camissa House is that it is a very nice and intimate establishment. Personal attention is outstanding. Rooms beautiful. The Artwork at Camissa is also unique. Decor is stylish. Very relaxing atmosphere. Butler service awesome. We absolutely loved that we stayed INSIDE Table Mountain. Very very few properties , if any , offer something like this. Table Mountain is literally in your back yard Truly luxury experience. One of the top boutique hotels in Cape Town. We will definitely be back

Not only is Camissa House absolutely beautiful, but the incredible team couldn't have done more to make our experience an unforgettable one! There was so much attention to detail throughout the property - from the service to the amazing design in the rooms and shared spaces. If we could've afforded to move in there for the month, we would have. The breakfast was a particular highlight and Camille, the incredible chef, was always on hand to make sure every morning started brightly. Special thanks to Camille, Tariq, Clement and Innocence for being awesome!

My third stay at Camissa, but my first since the world turned topsy-turvy with COVID. The staff have transitioned perfectly into the new world and we felt safe and protected throughout. William, our host, was impeccable in his attention to safety protocols. The hotel suits itself perfectly to travelling in a pandemic. Most importantly, it is small. So you are not in contact with many people at all. They manage this without any of these measures taking anything away from the experience and the naturally relaxed style of the house. We stayed in the Sandstone room which faces backwards onto Table Mountain, with a small private outside area. We were lucky to see a mongoose foraging through the rock garden whilst we sat there in the evening. We don't live far away so a stay at Camissa is a treat on its own and not simply a place to stay. It's an experience that I can recommend. The other reviews here cover everything that is great about Camissa House, from the location to the delectable breakfasts. Suffice to say that we will be back as soon as we can.
