We spent a quick getaway for our anniversary at Camissa House and we could not have been more spoilt in every way possible and cannot recommend staying here enough. From location, basic amenities and hotel offerings to their delicious made-to-order breakfasts, complimentary high-tea and amazingly attentive staff – everything was right on point. This intimate and exquisite boutique hotel truly ticks all the boxes, and I could go on forever about all the positive comments. The hotel itself is modern and beautifully decorated whilst also boasting the most exquisite views of Cape Town. Rooms are spacious and well laid out with everything you could need including luscious Africology products to have you smelling divine during your stay. The food was simply delicious and made with love, with breakfast and afternoon high tea being enough to feed you for the whole day. Above all this, and most importantly, what makes Camissa House extraordinary is the unbelievable staff. Everyone we came across made us feel like family with warm welcoming smiles, always on hand to help no matter what, attentive to your likes and preferences or just great people to chat to. Their attentiveness was beyond compare, from the moment you set foot in the door. Clement, Tarik, Innocent, Selim, Hope and the rest of the team continued to impress us throughout our stay and we could not have asked for better people to be surrounded by.
We would definitely recommend anyone to book this amazing place!

Camissa House can't be beat. The hotel is simply gorgeous and well planned. Our room was spacious and comfortable with every amenity you could want or need. There is plenty of storage for bags and clothes which was quite nice. The bed is very plush which makes for a restful sleep. We had a large patio off the front of our room which faced Cape Town. The views of Table Mountain during the day and the city at night were amazing. The bathroom is huge with heated towel racks, double vanities, and a waterfall shower. The hotel also provided both a hair dryer and curling iron; the hair dryer had the longest cord I have ever seen on a hair dryer!
The food here is delicious - breakfast starts with yogurt and homemade muesli and then you can order off the menu which has several great dishes to choose from. The high tea in the afternoon is over the top terrific.
The location is perfect as you will be at the end of a street in a quiet residential neighborhood, but it is still very easy to get down to the waterfront or up to Kloof Street for the hottest restaurants in town. The hotel will drop you off and pick you up from any restaurant within 10km of the hotel which is a nice plus.
The staff here is simply superb across the board - professional, efficient, helpful, and friendly. One morning at breakfast we asked Uthmaan about getting Covid tests done at the hotel and he had everything arranged within about 10 minutes - so much easier than trying to get it done at the airport before we flew home. Taariq also took amazing care of us. We stayed at Camissa at the end of a long trip to Africa so we decided not to eat out the last two nights we were in Cape Town because we were tired. Taariq gave us great recommendations for food to be delivered and then set up a lovely table by the pool so we could eat outside and enjoy the view. We had the same level of service during our entire stay. Camissa House is gorgeous and you will have a wonderful stay, but the superb staff are the real treasures here. You won't want to leave after they are done spoiling you!

We had an amazing time at the Camissa House. I would highly recommend staying at this intimate, modern, boutique hotel perched above Cape Town with great views. Every time you step inside there is somebody to greet you and offer a beverage. Clement was so wonderful with genuine care. He always insisted on setting us up with the best whether in excursions or restaurant reservations. On one occasion our shark cage diving trip was canceled. Upon learning this he instantly coordinated a trip with another company for the same day! We had an amazing time overall and cannot overstate how well we were treated. Mapisa, Bryan, Salem, and Simbai were absolutely phenomenal. We cannot wait to return.

Camissa House is off the beaten track, located in a residential area but don't let this put you off. Camissa House is a few minutes from Kloof Street which is full of some of the coolest restaurants and bars in the city, it is also away from the tourist mobbed area of the waterfront. Camissa provide a full drop off/pick up service so everywhere is easily visited. Camissa House is on one of the last streets at the foot of Table Mountain so the views over the city are stunning.
The interior of the house is beautiful and the owner has exquisite taste. The rooms are very comfortable and full of all amenities and high quality Africology products.
Complimentary Afternoon tea was excellent, so much so that you could either skip lunch or dinner!
We would certainly stay at Camissa again.

This inn is about 20 minutes from the waterfront, and we so preferred this location. It’s in a nice residential neighborhood that backs onto the park.

Interiors are modern with great art, and common areas are beautiful. Breakfast is served in a large, open room with terrific view fronting a gorgeous landscaped area. There’s a great bar serving drinks at night and a tea service.

Rooms were well appointed and decorated, although ours was a bit narrow—I wish I would have booked one with a balcony. And they supply a car to drive/pick-up if it’s within 10 km or so—great service.

Easy access to Kloof House and Fyn’s, our favorite restaurants there. And don’t miss the wine country, particularly Delaire Graf which has to be one of the most spectacular wineries in the world.

My husband and I visited South Africa on our honeymoon and kicked it off in Cape Town at Camissa House - it was the perfect start to our trip, they made it so special! The property is beautifully designed and staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Best included breakfast I've had, and had the best sleep we've had at a hotel. As hikers we loved the location as there is access to the Table Mountain trails right there at the hotel. They also provided a driver included to and from dinners in the evening which was very helpful to reach other parts of town. Just wish we had stayed here longer, will definitely be back!

A wonderful taste of the Mother City with spectacular views, great staff and a service attitude hard to beat. We arrived on the years hottest day and were greeted with cool & crisp bubbles - a room with a view & an introduction to the house and staff where all sought to make our stay and experience truly unique. Located at the foot of Table Mountain numerous trails start from here - including the trek to the top.
As seasoned travelers we have rarely come across such hospitality. Go see and experience this for yourself and you shall guaranteed not be disappointed !

This is a standout place to stay. We arrived here for four nights while checking out Cape Town. Felt welcomed right away! 24 hour butler service, amazing afternoon tea that is included and enough to keep you (very) full, and a great breakfast every morning to get you ready to head out and explore. This boutique hotel is in a quiet and safe residential area that is close to main areas of town. They will take care of Ubers for you to dinner in the area on the house account, which makes going out super easy after a long day of sightseeing. Big thanks to Taariq and Innocent for being so awesome during our stay!
Tip: ask for a terrace room for a great city and water view and enjoy your afternoon tea platter out there.

Staying at Camissa House is really peaceful, with friendly staff, a walking art-gallery in itself and a beautiful scenery from every room. You even get to do walking trails accompanied by your house manager, who is a great connoisseur of the Cape's history, fauna and flora. Give yourself the chance to enjoy from excellent High Tea, Breakfast Buffet + Menu & the best Margaritas in town :)

My third stay at Camissa, but my first since the world turned topsy-turvy with COVID.
The staff have transitioned perfectly into the new world and we felt safe and protected throughout. William, our host, was impeccable in his attention to safety protocols. The hotel suits itself perfectly to travelling in a pandemic. Most importantly, it is small. So you are not in contact with many people at all. They manage this without any of these measures taking anything away from the experience and the naturally relaxed style of the house.
We stayed in the Sandstone room which faces backwards onto Table Mountain, with a small private outside area. We were lucky to see a mongoose foraging through the rock garden whilst we sat there in the evening.
We don't live far away so a stay at Camissa is a treat on its own and not simply a place to stay. It's an experience that I can recommend.
The other reviews here cover everything that is great about Camissa House, from the location to the delectable breakfasts. Suffice to say that we will be back as soon as we can.
