The hotel facilities are modern and unique with a staff compliment that is absolutely outstanding. Rooms are always cleaned well and when any queries come up the team is ready to take care of it. Thanks to chef Luke, Liam, Candice, Feeka, Dan and Malcom for always making sure things were to my comfort for my extended stay.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a bit of a city stay.

On the occassion of my birthday I was surprised with a stay at the Radisson Red in the Waterfront. The interior design of the hotel was very tastefully done and our suite with a balcony and views to the Waterfront was spacious and spotlessly clean. Plus, the hotel also catered for the needs of our little dog who travelled with us. On arrival, there was already a bed, food and water bowls, poop bags and some water waiting for him. How amazing is this! And to top this: When I returned to the room in the evening prior to my birthday, the hotel surprised me with a lovely birthday gift and a handwritten card. What a fantastic guest experience!

Nothing was too much for the staff. Breakfast is served on the rooftop bar. Unfortunately it can get a bit chilly up there, when the weather isn't the greatest as the bar is not enclosed. However, the restaurant staff suggested that if we are too cold, we can go to the OUI Bar which is downstairs and where it will be warmer and that they would bring us our order. Downstairs we were welcomed by an equally friendly waiter who served us a great cappucchino while we were waiting for our breakfast. Also, at reception, we were always greeted with a smile and a friendly word. On top of it, management tries to comply as best as possible with the Covid-19 regulations to keep their guests safe - which gave us a safe feeling.

The Radisson RED in Cape Town will definitely be my first choice for my next trip to the Mother City.

We Stayed here for four nights while visiting Cape Town. The hotel has a buzz about it and has quite a fun young vibe. In the lobby there is table tennis and table football. When checking in you’re also offered a free gin and tonic. The rooftop bar is good fun and a popular hotspot. The staff were friendly in the hotel and gave us some nice treats in honour of my friends birthday.

The rooms are small but clean and modern. There is a fridge for you to use, in room tea and coffee making facilities and an ironing board. The only downside of the room was the bathroom door is misted glass so you see shadows and outlines through it and the door also didn’t close properly (not great when you’re travelling with your friend!).

The location is excellent- 3 minute walk to the waterfront restaurants, shops and bars. As two girls travelling we felt very safe walking back from the waterfront to our hotel at night. The hotel is also close to a City sightseeing bus stop and also the main office for the sightseeing buses which is really handy if you want to go on a trip or get dropped off close to your hotel.

We had a bit of trouble trying to get the hotel to book a taxi for us to the airport on our last day. It took ages to actually find someone to book one and then when we returned later in the day our taxi was very late- suspect it wasn’t actually booked!

Overall we really enjoyed staying at this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend it to others.

We stayed for 2 nights. Two rooms were booked inter leading.

The hotel is well located in the V n A Waterfront , Silo District. The rooms are of a good size with all the amenities. Breakfast was very nice. On the floor we stayed there was a coffee machine to use at leisure, even though for some periods of time it was out of service. In the morning juice as well as bottled water is provided next to the coffee machine which is a lovely gesture. Tea, hot chocolate is also available at the coffee station on the room floor.

Redisson Red , is an entry level four star hotel which tries its best to deliver a unique and hip experience.

I was happy with my two night stay, which was just enough.

The parking is charged separately which as a traveler you need to be aware of.

Wonderful location , lovely breakfast and comfortable room.

Hello there Electrobrush; and thank you for such a pleasant review! We are glad you enjoyed our amazing location and our lovely gestures offered around breakfast (noted though, our machines should always be in order...but do go through rinsing cycles. This shouldn't be an inconvenience though- so apologies for that as we are here to make a plan). We were more than pleasantly appreciative having you for two nights and look forward to your returned visit! Until then, stay safe and stay sane ;) Cheers from the REDfamily

Upon check in they were not very informative. Never told us where the lifts were, on what floor our room was or where the restaurants were located and where we would have breakfast the next morning. They also said that in our room we would get a complimentary bottle of wine and popcorn however this was not in our room when we arrived. We only received it about 3 hours after we had arrived and after asking numerous times. I also find it disgusting that you have to pay for parking and they still have the audacity to say that if you pay directly for parking you would be charged R110 as opposed to R120 through the hotel. The rooms are also quite small and have paper cups for your tea and coffee. No coffee machines in the room only a plunger to make your own coffee. I can't however fault the restaurant as the food was amazing.

OH No Candice...seems you caught us on a bad day ;( This really is not what we strive to achieve @RED! Happy that you got your (delayed) complimentary bottle of wine though; and enjoyed our restaurant facilities! As per parking, this belongs to the waterfront and is why we offer the discounted rate...not disgusting at all but quite accommodating. It seems we have missed the ball and would like to make it up to you somehow...please reach out to me on: dane.marrison@radissonred.com Looking forward to hearing back from you, Dane

We made a last minute booking for Radisson Red. This was our 2nd visit with our kids since December. I am always reluctant to visit Cape Town in the winter but if you are going to do it this setting is ideal. Misty mornings overlooking the iconic Table Mountain from our King size bed, strolls through the waterfront and bike riding through Granger Bay and Sea Point. This hotel has a superb location and our hire car was left feeling unloved in the parking lot. We were booked in with Breakfast and I love the innovative technology Radisson use in covid times... menus are on Tv screens with an integrated app. For the kids there is a very clever play area with lego, arts and crafts, table tennis and books.. cue Mom and Dad get to have an actual conversation during breakfast and kids are entertained for hours. I literally had to drag them away. Having bunkbeds with individual Tvs for each child was a huge win. This stay we really enjoyed the Super Park which is an adventure zone for kids as well as the scratch patch and all the many play areas along the waterfront. If you are a seasoned shopper like me the V and A never disappoints and I found myslef clutching for excuses to " pop to Woolies" quick! Finding myself on a new health journey I really enjoyed the Radisson gym.. top equipment and complimentary waters in none other than a RED Smeg fridge... this place is very very cool. Ok enough about decor, food , rooms and entertainment, lets talk staff. This I feel really strongly about. Each and every staff member is superb. You can sense the staff love working here . If you find yourself in a situation where you need to be working remotely this is the place. We had a junior suite and this comes with a 4 seater dining table. Couple this with free wifi and Bob's your uncle.. instant office. We extended our stay for another 3 nights but sadly had to eventually go home. Until next time.. my blood is RED

Where do I start with this hotel..I had such a wonderful and amazing 7 day stay. The staff are what make the experience so wonderful - friendly, energetic and always willing to help you and they genuinely care about you! I will miss their smiley and energetic good mornings! The small touches in the hotel are so meaningful - like popcorn in the room or a personalised note. Breakfast was plentiful and the takeaway coffee cups are a blessing for when you’re in a rush! The food there in general was great and the rooftop is a great vibe. I moved to the 5* Taj hotel after and wish I hadn’t booked that prior as the RED was so amazing!! Thank you to ALL the staff. You are what makes this hotel so great and welcoming. Will recommend this hotel to everyone and if I ever come back to CT, I will be sure to stay here :)

We were travelling with a couple of friends, at fist we chooses the hotel for the great location on the waterfront, just steps away from the shopping mall, art and craft market and the aquarium, and also because they dispose of a very convenient parking.

At first sight we were not impressed by the building and the interior decoration, maybe because, due to my age, I’m used to more traditional interior decoration.

However we were really blown away by the kindness, effectiveness and courtesy of the staff.
The rooms are not huge however they are really comfortable and include all the frills you do not expect on this price range : coffee machine, kettle, slippers, bathrobe, a really large television and very comfortable king size bad with very good and comfortable mattresses. All bathroom towel are fluffy and of top quality and the amenities are also very pleasant and with a nice aroma.

Breakfast is really good with great choice and eggs prepared at the moment on order and a good choice of fruit and pastry. Juices are fresh.

What really make the difference is the really friendly, informal and willing to help staff.

It’s one of the very few time I ask to speak to the General Manage to compliment her for the way the staff is acting. I believe the way they behave is due to how she manage the team.

Compliment to the GM, to all the team and to radiosonde for this new well executed fresh concept.

Stayed here last week with my 17 year old son.
The hotel was a short (20 minute) Uber from the airport.
The hotel staff gave us a very warm welcome, a welcome drink and a welcome bottle of wine.
The rooms were clean, good size bathroom, comfy bed and daily maid service. Limited TV channels for our viewing (mostly sport, kids cartoons and news).
We had a view of Table Mountain outside our window - the windows take up the whole of the wall, so you get good views.
The breakfast was good, but sometimes very slow in serving the hot breakfast (which you have to order). We had to skip/miss our order twice as we didn't have time before a trip. My son wasn't keen on the choice of hot breakfast (and he likes his food). The breakfast staffed seemed stretched.
Room service was good and quick, offering the same menu as the restaurant.
We were given a fresh bottle of water each day, which was welcome, and there was a good sized fridge we could keep drinks cold in. There was also an easy to use safe.
The pool on top is very small and we didn't get chance to use it. One day breakfast service was moved to the roof top and there was a lovely atmosphere and views up there.
The hotel is situated near the waterfront area. Excellent location. The waterfront has such an atmosphere, often having live musicians playing. We noted a lot of security around, so felt very safe.
The hotel is perfectly placed to get the ferry to Robben Island and catch the hop on hop off bus from the clocktower. We booked various trips through GetYourGuide and they picked up directly from the hotel.
Our South African holiday was one of our favourite holidays ever.

I stayed this last week on a business trip. The hotel is clean, vibrant and welcoming.
GOOD - Location, only 400m walk to the V&A waterfront.
BAD - 1) Majority of the staff are miserable (and there is a lot of them). 2) Expect to wait a long time to be served, and even longer to receive your bill. 3) The menu choice is OK but some more options would be nice and maybe a dessert choice…. seriously no dessert options at all. 4) The pool is not heated and is more like a feature, as it’s in the middle of the rooftop Restaurant area with everyone eating/drinking around it. 5) Car parking is in the multi storey underneath, it’s not cheap and neither is it easy to navigate. 6) The music DJ’s on the rooftop were amazing, but I’m sure they could hear the music 20km away… and it goes on all night. 7) I had a top class suite, yet none of the rooms have “Do Not Disturb” signs, I had to politely tell the maid wanting to service my room several times to come back later… and they are persistent, it’s like they get paid per room. 8) Breakfast is a set menu with some good options, don’t dare ask for something simple like 3 fried eggs on toast, ooh…. death stare and a resounding NO.

Would I stay again…. NO.

Hey Dylan S, Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate the good and the bad. We apologise for the lack of love received from our crew. This is not how we roll. We're in the process of upgrading our menu options to include some yummy desserts. You're spot on about parking, it's safe, secure and may be tricky to navigate but we're thrilled you found your way. Our "do not disturb" signs are on the wall outside your room. My apologies that it was a bit hidden away. We will be sure to brief this to all guests checking in. Thank you for your honest feedback regarding breakfast, our "Yes I Can" was clearly missing and we apologise for this. Thanks again for all your feedback. Hey! You may hear epic beats from our Dj. A recommendation would be to contact the hotel and ask for a room number between X26 - X48. That way your room is furthest away from the rooftop.

Hey Doris M, There most certainly is. We have quite a few. The closest would be Clifton/ Camps Bay Beach. A bit further away would be Big Bay, home of the Red Bull Big Air Kite Surfing competition. Then there's Muizenberg Beach, which has warmer waters.
