Innscape is a 3 star facility in CPT CBD, approx 30 mins drive from CPT Airport.
Not your usual hotel, its a place with a style of its own, the raw NYC loft type of style. Either you like it or not. I loved it. Its an old quirky building with a noisy elevator, dripping from pipes etc. single glased windows which will not keep out weather or street noises as Long Street is just around the corner. You need to bring your earplugs when you choose to stay in the CBD.

I stayed in the penthouse (503) which is indeed a huge room, with a comfy bed (can I suggest some lights by the bed?), telly, aircon, fridge, kettle & microwawe. The big balcony was a HUGE plus for me. Some days you will be provided with coffee, sugar & creamer and a bottle of water. Wifi is wobbly and you need to log in often.

Bathroom small and very dark, showercubicle good size, weak waterpressure and it takes some time for the water to flush out- remember you are in an old building.
What I will point out is that bathroom & room needs a good cleaning.

I did not include breakfast but I had quite some sandwitches, coffes and juices in the cafe which fits the style of the hotel, open until 3pm. Reception is staffed 24/7 and I am sure you can get cold drinks there after 3PM if needed.

I want to thank ALL staff at the hotel for making me feel welcome, I did not meet anything else than kindness, smiles & helpfullness.

I would stay again

Our room (202) was spotlessly clean and the hotel was very quiet for all three nights - we faced an internal courtyard.
The staff are lovely - nothing was too much trouble.
Great breakfasts and there is a really good place to eat in the evenings nearby called Thirty Ate

This hotel is located at the comercial and service area of the town. At night there are many options for food, drink and parties. Close to the Kloof Street at Gardens, Greenpoint neighborhood and the V&A as well. Challenging atmosphere if you walk around the hotel area at night as in any big downtown area around the world.

We booked for several nights from the US before traveling and made sure our reservation was changeable - and documented on paper - since our plans weren't set in stone. The place looked nice online. But when we arrived, we weren't impressed and got bad vibes. The the young man at the desk was pleasant, but wouldn't allow us to change our reservations to just the one night and said to talk to a different person the next morning. Only problem is he wouldn't allow us to check in without paying for the full multiple night reservation we had booked, which of course I was Very skeptical of. But, it was getting dark, there were guys harassing us as we came into the place, the door to the hotel was locked when we arrived, which all gave us bad vibe, and we were told to be cautious going out in this area. So we paid hoping to resolve in the morning, called an Uber and went to a very nice dinner at the waterfront.

The guy in the morning called reservations who said cancellation fee was 100% which was not what we showed on our reservation papers, so he wasn't any help either. We got Taken! for a couple hundred dollars. Our room also had a leak when we turned the sink on, water flowed out into the room, and there was a bad odor in the bathroom - they did switch us to a different room due to the leak. Really feel like we were scammed and wouldn't recommend! They also had a little coffee shop attached and the fruit in the display had mold on it...yuck, even more bad vibes...

I would not recommend this place. Bad management and staff "pretend" they can't help you. I was not impressed at all! There are much better places to stay!

We had booked a hotel room through Bookings.com and got a confirmation, we was very happy to enjoy Cape Town during our honeymoon. Since we knew that our flight was coming in late almost around midnight we emailed the hotel directly letting them know we will have a late check in. We did not get a response which we first of all found very strange. Now we understand why, they had in there system to overbook this hotel to make sure to fill their other hotels.

When we arrive around 11:30 PM the people in the reception acted very strange and very unwelcoming. We understood why just a couple minutes later when they told us that they didn’t have a room for us because the hotel was fully booked and that they were sending us to another hotel. Not only had we traveled over 15 h and been up since 4 AM that morning. It is outrageous to treat your guest in this matter, sending them to a totally different hotel they have not chosen, done no research, in a bad area that did not feel safe and the standard of the hotel was even worse and the price was less. I can’t believe this was the start of our honeymoon and we were extremely disappointed to have such a welcoming.

After this we had to find a hotel room in middle of the night in sometimes unsafe Cape town with a lot of luggage. Same thing happened to an Austrian couple standing in cue after us to the reception.

I've just spent 21 days staying at the InnsCape on Castle and can say I was delighted with all aspects of my stay.
I'm a seasoned traveler that uses hotels as somewhere to park my bags. This was perfect.
The rooms were spacious, bed comfy and facilities clean and above what I expected.
My stay was made perfect by the friendliness , interest and attentiveness from everyone. Nothing seemed too much trouble and if I asked for anything, tea, milk, etc., it was there on my return.

Typically, I was out the door at 9am and didn't return until 9pm each day where everyone, from the morning staff through to the night managers always welcomed me as a friend.
A particular shout out goes to Victor, Ruskda and Kevin (Please forgive my spelling of your names) for all their help, ideas, suggestion's and conversations about everything from English football, through Cape Town vs English weather, to family issues big and small. I appreciated and enjoyed everyone.

So, too all the people who have provided a poor review I would say. If you want a 5 star, concierge serviced hotel suite with fine dining. This is not your place.
However, if you are a weary traveler, away from home in difficult circumstances, missing their family and who just wants a friendly chat, a cup of coffee and a laugh. Then this is the place for you.

Thoroughly recommended

Location great, but I would expect more from a 3*** hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, however our room definitely needed some attention. One morning we had no water to run the tap, shower or toilet. The drain in the shower needed plumbing, if you had more than a 2 min shower the water was flowing into the room. The cleanliness wasn’t great- see the clump of hair in photo- and the toilet roll rail broke on the first night.

My husband had to have an emergency procedure done at Chris Barnard hospital. We stumbled on this wonderful little gem by chance. The staff were utterly amazing and the room clean with crisp linen. They went out of their way to make us comfortable even bringing me s surprise bottle of wine and cupcake for my birthday. It is safe convenient and affordable and certainly I would recommend it to anyone. My only slight hitch was the aircon that dripped water

Ligging prima.
First: the elevator was ‘Tomorrow and the next few data’ out of service. Well, not once have I seen anyone trying to do anything about it. Top 20 weeks pregnant with your suitcase from 23 kilos to 4 high. Not to be.
Second: wifi worked terribly badly. Reconnect every time in the hope that it will work sometime...
Third: air conditioning present, but only blowing towards bed which woke you up completely cold.
Fourth: breakfast you could choose 1 thing from the menu, of which you were just not full, but that was it.
Fifth: parking impossible. No parking garage and no free parking. Only paid parking along public roads, not really safe.

Looking at the relatively small entranceway on my arrival - I expected to be cramped inside - but no, the room I had was a very good spacious size. The room was modern, with a contemporary feel. Bed was very comfortable.
Location was good, and I thought price was very good too.
The staff that I interacted with were all very helpful, pleasant & friendly.
Would love to return for a longer stay.
